PortaFelice is a gorgeous and bright penthouse on a prestigious contemporary architecture building that rises in one of the most beautiful squares of Palermo old town.
The apartment enjoys a unique view of the sea and a huge terrace for the exclusive use of guests.

From the huge terrace you will enjoy an amazing breathtaking view!
The building was built in the late 60s and is the result of collaboration between engineer Franco Amoroso and the prestigious firm of architects BBPR, which consists of the master of Italian Rationalism Gian Luigi Banfi Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso Enrico Peressutti ed Ernesto Nathan Rogers.
This building is considered by experts one of the most important example of contemporary architecture in Palermo old town and is highly appreciated as expression of Brutalism, an architectural style which emerged during the 1950s in the United Kingdom, among the reconstruction projects of the post-war era.
In fact, the building rises from the ashes of a pre-existing Baroque palace destroyed by the bombings of the Second World War and represents a rare example of stitching between ancient city and modern architecture. In this regard, noteworthy is the ancient portal wisely preserved on the side on Via della Regia Zecca.

The apartment is fully furnished with fine furniture and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The main rooms overlook the terrace surrounding the apartment, and from this you can access the wonderful sun terrace on the roof of the building for the exclusive use of guests. Its position allows a unique breathtaking view of Porta Felice, the suggestive sea horse fountain, the seafront (foro italico) and the entire bay of the city.

We are in the ZTL (limited traffic zone), to access by car is necessary a Pass. Contact me to receive info on this!

When Giovanni met us upon arrival, he gave us a thorough tour and recommendations for restaurants, etc. He assured us that he was available for any questions/concerns. And he was! He was very responsive and helpful.The apartment was well stocked - better than most of the other rentals we’ve had. It was spacious and attractive. The rooftop terrace overlooking the harbor was a bonus. We had a good time in Palermo and were comfortable in our apartment.

This apartment is far and away the best vacation rental we've stayed at. The location is perfect for exploring Palermo on foot.The terrace and balcony is simply spectacular.The apartment is as if it were your own home... but without the clutter! Everything we could possibly want or need was provided. Giovanni was great. He met us on arrival, responded instantly to any inquiries, and arranged transfers to the airport. We wish we could have stayed longer!

This is the PERFECT SPOT in Palermo. The space was so great. The hosts left a WONDERFUL welcome basket of coffee, breakfast items and wine. And provided a restaurant guide which was so helpful. The location is perfect to all of old town.The terrace and rooftop area (private to only you) are amazing. Absolutely amazing property

From start to finish, we enjoyed every aspect of the stay. Giovanni and Emelia were helpful with anything and everything we needed. From taxi to city driving permits they always responded quickly and made the appropriate arrangements for us. Cleanest VRBO I have stayed at. Equipped with all that you need. The roof deck is a great plus. Great location and Giovanni gives a good description where everything is located when you check in. Be sure to visit Palazzo Butera very close by. It is a living museum. Favorite restaurants nearby were Quattro Mani and Davina Di Gusto where you will dine outside

This quirky apartment is full of character and history. The hosts are delightful and the terrace is an amazing place to spend some downtime. This apt is huge! The outside wrap around terrace leads you to a large rooftop terrace all your own! Giovanni is wonderful and provided us with a tour of the apt and upon entering we found wine, beer and snacks. The location is perfect! Wish we had booked it for much longer!

Giovanni and Marina are premier hosts, the apartment was super organized and equipped. Location couldn’t have been better right on edge of Old Town and on the Sea. This apartment was perfect for our trip to Palermo. It is centrally located, with restaurants, grocery stores and shopping nearby. The view of the harbor from the deck and roof is gorgeous. The apartment is very spacious,with plenty of room for 4 adults (maybe even a couple more!). It was immaculately clean and well-stocked with everything we could possibly need for our stay....Giovanni even left a basket of snacks and several large bottles of water for us in the kitchen, which, after a long travel day was greatly appreciated. Best of all, Giovanni was a pleasure to work with, he even greeted us in the apartment when we got there. He stayed in touch with us during our visit to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend this property, as I would definitely stay here again!

The perfect apartment in Palermo

Giovanni's apartment was everything we needed for our 7 day stay in Palermo. Ideally located in the characterful old part of town whilst also having amazing views of the bustling harbour. Giovanni was a superb host; being ever helpful, knowledgable and considerate. The apartment could not be faulted in any way. It was extremely well equipped, spacious, comfortable and everything worked, including the excellent air conditioning. It is perhaps the best city centre apartment we've stayed in. Highly recommended for the ideal break in Palermo.

Beautiful property, great location. Fabulous views from veranda. Some outside street noise at times so take earplugs if you are easily disturbed. We enjoyed exploring the city & took trips out to Cefalu (gorgeous), Monreale Cathedral & Mondello beach although the later we did find challenging to find bus stop then actually get on it! Overall though a great break & adored the Gelato.

Location, Location, Location

This is the perfect place to stay in Palermo. The view from the terrace is unparalleled, the apartment is spacious, and well located to everything. The kitchen was one of the best stocked I've ever experienced in a short-term rental. Our host supplied complementary coffee, tea, crackers, wine, and generous amounts of bottled water. Our host was very communicative and responsive, arranged airport transfers for us, and was most gracious. If you are planning a visit to Palermo, the Porto Felice apartment and host cannot be beat.

Amazing views of Palermo Harbor

Stop looking elsewhere! This unit is an exceptional spacious apartment. It is located right on Palermo Harbor and has a large private rooftop balcony for viewing harbor ships and activities. It is located right at the end of the exciting historical center so it is an easy walk to restaurants and visitor activities but not in the middle of the chaos! Giovanni is extremely welcoming and ensures that we had everything for a fun and safe adventure in Palermo.

Great place

The house was vey nice it is full of character, you are surrounded by some lovely furniture and art. Make a.change from bland modern villas. The roof terrace is as the pictures. You are in Palermo so it was noisy but that is what earplugs are for. Host was very responsive and the building is very secure, the host and most of his family live in different apartments.
