Turtle heaven

This was our 2nd stay at the resort but different unit. Clean and well supplied unit. A bit of road noise from loud cars, without AC it is necessary to have windows open. Love the property, turtles daily. We hope to come back again.

LOVE Hale Mahina!

This was our third stay at Hale Mahina, we love the small uncrowded feeling of this condo complex! It has everything we need in a great area with restaurants & shopping within walking distance. The condo was as listed minus the fact that the bedroom has a queen bed not a king, but we still enjoyed it very much! The management company was very easy to work with & accommodating ! We will be back!

Great place would book again. Too many kids.

Too many kids. Our last 2 stays we only witnessed a few children. This is a nice quiet and relaxing place to stay. Would recommend reviewing policies to not allow so many small children. Kinda detracts from the relaxing experience. Thank you.

Location great

We loved the condos. Our specific unit was a ground level and very convenient for going to pool and ocean. It was a bit loud as I suspect all of building B is by the pool. It is one of the cheaper units at the condos which helps offset some of the little things that could have been better. There is a light on the pathway that shines right into your eyes on the couch bed. Maybe rearrange furniture or just take the light bulb out. Otherwise it was great.

Great view and location

I enjoyed my stay. The location is perfect for doing all the activities as it is centrally located. Parking is an issue. No warning was given to essentially DO NOT PARK IN THE GARAGE. The signage for parking in the garage is inaccurate. It damaged my rental car and cost me over $1000 to repair. The property manager (Larry) said “we put signs up but people still hit it”. My trip would have been perfect aside from this.

Lovely quiet place

Great unit on ground level. This condo is very nicely updated, clean and well decorated. Bed was comfy and the room was quiet. Nice to be on ground level with the ocean and front viewing area steps away. One thing I didn’t love about this unit is the walking path for other guests is right near the patio area which made it feel less private. Also, not really an ocean view from the room being kind of tucked away and lots of garden area around the sliding door. Otherwise pretty fantastic and you cannot beat the Hale Mahina for a beautiful ocean front place with a small quiet beach with daily sea turtles swimming by or sunning on the beach !

We will not stay in this unit again as it is loud due to the location and had very dirty recliners to sit in. The recliners need to be removed or professionally cleaned. We did enjoy the stay at this location and will return back to the Hali Mahina, but in a different Condo.

Not at all like the photos

The bed in the photos appeared to be a king,, so my friend and I planned to share that bed. When we got there and saw that it was a FULL? So I had to sleep on the extremely uncomfortable couch for the week. It was horrid. Also, the drapes in the living room are COVERED with black mold. Someone need to let that owner know that he can be sued if someone gets sick.

Thank you for this input, which is indeed very concerning. The bed in the bedroom is a queen and is advertised as such specifically in the listing. As for the curtains, this is the first we've heard of such a complaint or even noticed ourselves while in the condo--including when addressing lanai door issues reported May 25th. We will take appropriate action. We did email you back personally after you checked out and wrote to us, but sincerely apologize for any shortcomings on our part..

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here for 10 nights December 2022. The condo is terrific, the property is beautiful, landscape, and the beach here is just perfect! I love having ground floor access so you can open your door and walk directly to the beach. Even though this does increase the number of people that are constantly walking by your unit. The kitchen and bathroom work perfectly and have most everything you need. The kitchen could use some food storage containers with lids. The living room area is big and very functional, although there may be a few too many furniture pieces (bulky dressers and cabinets that just take up space). The TV is easy to use, but it would be fun if there were a few games, families could play on rainy days. Speaking of rain, I hope the owners read this review and know that there is a huge leak that runs across the living room when it’s raining. It appears to be where the upstairs balcony ends. So when the tropical storm came through for two days, we sat in the living room, watching TV under a leaking ceiling. The pull out sofa bed was great and very comfortable. The master bedroom was very loud and hard to sleep in just like all the reviews say. This is truly the biggest downfall of this condo. Having said that, we would probably stay here again or in another unit (maybe with a better view of the beach) on this property.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I filled out a review, apparently it went into la la land.. it wasn't a great review so maybe that's why it disappeared! Hale Mahina is a great property and other units we've stayed in have been super but this unit, B101, is not. The patio is a joke, there's barely enough room for the two rusted chairs (with very filthy/old cushions) and tiny table let alone 2 grown people. It's like being in a dark hole (in an out of the unit) and absolutely no privacy. Those blue chairs are disgusting, at least put covers over them. We wouldn't sit in them due to the grime baked into them. The curtain has mold on the back side of it. The surface areas are clean enough, ie toilet, sinks, stove/oven, linens/towels, etc. but beyond that, not so much..bathroom walls are filthy as is the backsplash behind the stove. I discovered this when I went to wipe up something that had splattered, ick! I will say that the kitchen is stocked full of everything a cook would need, pots, pans, etc. and the pool is right there!The following questions regarding the proprty I am assuming, are referring to the unit not Hale Mahina as a whole?

The kitchen is well done, the walk in shower is great, the bed is great and the living room is large and well furnished.The best part is that you walk out on the ground level and our a few steps from the pool, the lawn area, the sand and the ocean with great views of Lanai, Molokai, turtles on the beach, monk seals swimming by, and spinner dolphins in the distance.The guests gather at Sunset for conversation and listen to Conch shells blown at sunset.We will be back to this special place.

Chase'N Rainbows is very accommodating and will go out of their way to get you what you need. The beach access was not good at all and there was no way to get down in the water unless you jumped the more than 6-foot wall and had someone pull you back up. Mother nature took all of our beach. I will come back again when the beach comes back.

Reviewer Comments: We were very disappointed (especially having paid a cleaning fee) in the lack of cleanliness. The floors were so grimy that our feet were black. The shower drain was filled with hair that we had to remove. The lint catcher was packed (we removed at least a cup of lint from behind the catcher and this poses a fire hazard). All surfaces (especially the floors) should be thoroughly cleaned. We believe our cleaning fee should be refunded.
