Great house for multiple families

This was an amazing stay. Beautiful views, nice pool and hot tub. This house is close to town on the south side of Kona. Each bedroom gets their own bathroom. Gated community, the nights were quiet. We would stay here again.

A great Thanksgiving reunion

This property was even better than the photos! It worked perfectly for four adults and four children. There was plenty of space for dining and game playing. It was lovely to have the on-site pool to entertain children. We would definitely consider renting it in the future!

Amazing Home Away from Home

We had an incredible stay at this property! The pictures do not do it justice. Everything was even better than expected! Would HIGHLY recommend and we will definitely return to this property in the future. The house is great for enjoying time together and having time to yourself. The patio, pool area and lanai provided outstanding views and were all very comfortable. Do not hesitate to rent this house!

Great location and views

This property exceeded our expectations. The panoramic views from the balcony were more than we imagined. Great location - we were 5-10 minutes from anything in the area. The drive to the other areas of the island (volcanoes NP, Black Sand Beach, Southernmost point) were not difficult drives. David, the concierge, was great help with excursions. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful home.

We loved our stay and were very pleased with home. We were 3 families staying here and had 2 families in other homes. Our place was very spacious to accommodate everyone for several meals! Wrap around lanai had beautiful views of the sunset every evening. Kitchen was very spacious and had everything we needed. 3 separate eating areas was wonderful and numerous gathering spaces allowed us to spread out or be together. Property management was quick and efficient with the few concerns we had. Some few suggestions- add shower to downstairs south bedroom ( only has tub)New washer and dryer- they were finicky Not being able to remove pool vacuum was annoying- swimming around it was a nuisance. Overall 5/5!!! Thank you for allowing us to rent this gorgeous home.

We stayed a week in this beautiful home celebrating milestone birthdays. Family & Friends all loved the house and all that came along with it. Communication with the host was good for the most part, there was a minor miscommunication when asked about adding a person to the guest list, I was initially told by the concierge it could be done however by the time the host read the email I was told it could not be done only 8 guests were allowed for insurance purpose. There was enough room to sleep 10 actually. Nonetheless, the additional guest had booked excursions based on the initial answer so it was disappointing but we had to remove a guest from the list to stay in the house. Also the pool have a vacuum device that cleans the pool, it can’t be removed and it was always in the way we had to continue to move long hose to the side to enjoy the pool. Otherwise, great property we all loved the home had a barbecue one day and the grill was GRILLING!! We had to contact the host a few times about a missing TV remote, No beach towels left, the pool device etc….and I will say they were diligent in communicating in a timely manner and fixing any issues.

We loved the house. It is spacious. Pretty, clean, well stocked kitchen! Pool is great. View spectacular. A couple of little issues attended to quickly by management company staff. Misunderstood

House was as advertised. A lot of room for everyone. But, didn’t like time we had to be quiet. We didn’t get to enjoy the evenings outside with family that came for a wedding! And for some reason they thought we were holding wedding at our rental!! Guards at gate were very helpful. Thank you Nick!

Love the big island

We really enjoyed our stay at this property - the inside has been remodeled and has several wonderful gathering places that we really enjoyed- the view is incredible too! The only issue with this property is the broken gutter off the back of the house - the constant dripping ( is not only loud ) but has caused damage to the pool deck and the mat that’s covering it is in serious need of being replaced, we also had problems with the pool chairs being old and worn & one even ripped by just sitting on it. We also received a noise complaint from my children playing in the pool around 4-7pm, which I find ridiculous, we rented a house with a pool to get away from the cranky timeshare old folks. My children are very well behaved and I wasn’t going to tell them to not talk when in the pool or have fun. Those was our only concern- beautiful property otherwise.

Great property at centralized location with picturesque views

All 7 of us (30+ and older) stayed at this property for 7 days. We had a very pleasant experience as first timers on the island. The pool, kitchen, patio with an awesome view to the ocean. Neighborhood was safe and super quiet day and night. Overall, the property has more indoor and outdoor space, cookwares, and furnitures than we needed. I would say we used 60 percent of the space inside and out. All four rooms have A/C, the common areas do not have A/C, but it's not needed because the windows can be opened all days and nights to get that cool breeze in AM and cross winds all day long. Just some minor things to note that some bathrooms, except master bath, need some improvement in terms of caulking and repairs of cracking joints. Also, I wanted to mention Kona Vacation Rental concierge has provided an exceptional service for our excursions and Q&As. So as the property security guards posted 24hr duty.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A lovely home and location. 5 positives: Big rooms, TVs everywhere, clean pool, plumbing issue repaired the next day, lots of storage space-closets big- drawers. 5 improvements: pool deck worn, upstairs tub broken, upstairs sofa-feathers irritating, the grounds are beautiful BUT 3 days of listening to trimming and leaf blowers from surrounding properties ...that was the worst part. Would choose elsewhere. Upon checking in: the gate house had no information expecting us, and we were given the incorrect house number, frustrating to be trying to access the wrong property. Thankful we didn't set off any alarms.

Great place for our family of 7

This house was overall even nicer than I expected. Very spacious rooms, clean, good decor. Certain things are showing a little age (bathroom tile, pool deck), but certainly serviceable. The views are excellent. We spent a lot of time on the balcony, as it was so lovely out there overlooking the ocean to the west. Note that this is a corporate-run property, so they completely clean out the kitchen after each guest (though they did leave a little welcome gift that included a few spices including salt and pepper) and there is zero wiggle room with check in or out times. That said, the management was very responsive and checked in with me early to see if I needed anything. A couple things to note: the little pool is not really a hot tub, it gets luke warm at best; and the bathroom in one of the suites downstairs has a tub but no shower. It wasn’t a problem for our family to share. This location was a quick drive to lots of activities—snorkeling, surf lesson, manta ray and snorkel excursions, and there are a grocery and drug store only a half mile away.

180 degree view!

We thoroughly enjoyed this house. The view from both lanais is stunning. We cooked dinner nearly every night and the kitchen is well appointed so it was easy. The dining tables and chairs inside and outside were comfortable and we used them every day. The lanai furniture was comfortable for lounging. The first duty of any rental place to stay is to have good beds. This place does. We did have to request of mattress topper for one bed but it was delivered promptly. The four bedrooms were comfortable and each has private outdoor space in addition to the public pool level lanai and the main floor lanai. And, this is the first of many rentals we have done where there were actually enough hangers for everyone! The concierge service was outstanding. They responded immediately to questions of all kinds and even mundane needs like replacing the empty propane tank on the BBQ. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and we used both. Really, the only downside to the house is the sunken living room on the main floor. The grade change is obvious when you are going up. It can be hard to see when stepping down. Three of our group took a tumble (no one was hurt thankfully) before we found a way to temporarily mark the steps so everyone was aware every time they went down into the living room. We would recommend some subtle line or marking on the steps, even a midpoint handrail would do it without affecting the look of the room. We highly recommend house.

Best Place EVER!

We were met by the property manager when we arrived. She gave us the grand tour and a nice overview of how the pool and spa worked. She had also generously placed an amazing HUGE Hawaiian floral arrangement in the dining room. It was stunning, as is this house. The configuration of master bedroom up and guest suites down allows for getting together for coffee, meals, drinks, but still have the luxury of privacy. We hosted two groups while we were there. First bunch was family/grandkids. It was heaven! They had a ball both in the pool and local beaches up and down the coast. Second group were two adult couples, and again the spaciousness and layout of this amazing, graciously appointed home seemed to provide everything we all needed or wanted. The grill worked perfectly and the kitchen was well equipped. We were blessed with the weather, as it was not too hot during the day (80's), and was cool at night (high 60's & low 70's), so sleeping was delightful for everyone. The pool is not heated, which is not uncommon in Hawaii, and I have to say that even tho I'm a wuss about cold water, if you just jump in, the initial refreshing shock is nothing, and the cool deliciousness of the water is divine and the pool is so well-maintained. The spa was wonderful, but if you like a warmer spa, you need to pay attention to the heating schedule of 7-10 am and 7-10 pm. If you turn the spa heater on during that time, and keep it covered, it is delightfully warm. Because we were there for three weeks, we scheduled interim cleaning and they were thorough and quick. What a treat! We cant say enough good things about this property! As far as things to do, Flumin Da Ditch was a blast and educational for parents and three kids ranging in age from 8 to 14. The FairWinds morning snorkel cruise is simply amazing, and their other power catamaran Hula Kai's morning cruise is equally amazing and fun, but you get to go to two snorkeling spots! We love going up to Hawi on the Kohala coast for lunch at Bamboo, and no trip is complete without a sunset dinner at either the Kona Inn or Huggos. If you like beaches, the Kona coast is peppered with gems with picnic shelters, bathrooms and showers. If you feel like you'd like a slower paced but fascinating, educational tour that is great for young and old alike, the Ocean Rider Seahorse Farm is an amazing tour.

The house and pool were amazing, the pics on the website are very accurate. We had amazing sunsets every night and we were amazed with the ocean views from this property. We had 8 people staying in the house and there was plenty of room.
