Kona Bay Estates is a gated and patrolled oceanfront community. The Sunset Beach House offers 2700 square feet of luxurious space. It is just 500 meters from the sea. Opening walls of glass offer indoor-outdoor living with spectacular views of the ocean and a private pool. Enjoy spinning dolphins, breaching whales, and sunset 365 days a year.
The location is perfect. Walk to restaurants, bars, markets, and shopping in ten to fifteen minutes. Airport Beach, minutes away, is a lovely place to stroll. Kona Bay Estates has a large tide pool with a sandy beach, perfect for kids. Tennis courts, a children’s play area, free lane swimming at a community pool, pickleball courts, and basketball hoops are in the park right beside the community.
Cap off your day with a game of pool while watching the sunset in the third-level open-air Crows Nest with Kona's best views.
Two large oceanfront master bedrooms have king beds. The third bedroom has a king bed with a mountain view. Air beds are available. All bedrooms have TVs, full ensuites, outdoor patios, and air conditioning. The lower level is comfortably cooled with fans and ocean breeze.

Ken and Jennifer Moore, Canadians with two children and married 30 years, bought the Kona Sunset Beach House in 2010. After extensive renovations to make it their dream home, they are excited to share it with others.



Ken has a medical engineering company and Jennifer is a Dentist. They love the big island and all that it has to offer.

Why they chose this property

Kona Bay Estates is a very special area. Exclusive, with security, there is no better location on the big island. You are within walking distance to Kona's main tourist strip, yet on the edge of town for easy access to the freeway and beaches to the north. If you don't want to go anywhere there are plenty of activities, from tennis to beach, right in the community.
