Kona Reef Oceanfront Resort is the 1st choice in vacation rentals. Unit A37 (previously the developers unit) is one of the largest units 1200 sq feet, offering the most spectacular panoramic views of the Pacific and sunsets. Brand new and beautifully decorated fully equipped kitchen, with granite counter tops with new stainless appliances, and new bathrooms. We are one of the 3 condos with Central Air (brand new system installed June 2024).

The space
Great for families featuring 2 bedrooms each with new mattresses, TV's and 2 new full bathrooms, one of the largest living rooms with a new 65" TV.. Brand New Kitchen with all new appliances, and a bar/beverage area. Indoor dining area/workspace with new furniture and central air condition throughout.


Attention triathletes! We are just 1 mile to the Ironman start and finish, and the 1.2 mile ironman swim turnaround is viewable from the lanai, and the run course passes infront of our complex. Great location for training, racing and viewing the the Ironman World Championships. It's everything and more you could want for your Hawaiian vacation.

Amazing Ocean View!

My husband and I loved this condo! The view of the ocean was fabulous. The deck is pretty much right on the water, so it’s lovely watching and listening to the waves. The condo is clean, bright, and comfortable. Check-in and out process was very easy with the keyless entry. It was a short walk to downtown restaurants and bars. Also about a 5-7 min walk to Royal Kona Resort for food, drinks, or attending the luau.

This unit was beautifully decorated with lots of amenities. We use the kitchen facilities, often, saving money and accommodating, various dietary requirements.Beautiful views from the lanai to sit and have meals lovely pool and nice hot tub. The barbeques worked great. The host Anne and responded to our messages quickly. We would definitely come and stay at this location again.

Wonderful Spot!

The view from the unit is fantastic. My favorite part of this place is there was ocean noise the whole time so if we were on the patio the only thing you could hear was the waves breaking. What a treat to have natures noisemaker drowning out any other noises. Great location too! Walking distance to great food, drinks and coffee. The unit was very clean and larger than we expected. The kitchen was well stocked too! Overall we were all very pleased with this unit and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Then unit is perfectly set up, bedrooms very quiet and the description in the ad 100% correct. We greatly enjoyed the views and even more so the corner top floor as we were never aware of anyone else. The unit had everything we needed.

Beachfront penthouse

Ohhh the lanai! We watched surfing, dolphins and whales as well as gorgeous sunsets. My hubby even saw the green flash! Lovely accommodation for family. We enjoyed the pool and convenient vicinity to downtown Kona.

Absolutely fantastic

The condo was amazing and right on the water. The sunsets were fabulous. The beach next door was rocky so we didn’t get in but the surfers were out everyday. We could easily see yellow fish in the water so I’m sure the snorkeling would have been great but too rough for our taste. Nice easy walk into town for coffee and dinners. No need to drive unless you’re exploring the rest of the island (which I recommend).

Kailua Kona Condo

This is a nice, clean, attractive condo located close to the shopping/dining district. It has a beautiful view and is nicely equipped. Overall, this was an enjoyable place. The condo had a few minor things needing attention such as the blinds in the master bedroom and the ceiling fans working properly. The fans did work, but some pull chains were broken and the remote controls had some issues. Overall, I would recommend this place.

Perfect Kona condo

This condo is perfect in every way. Ocean front location with spectacular sunset view from lanlai. People come to the lawn in front of the building to see sunset and we have the best view. Condo is updated and tastefully decorated. Kitchen is stocked with everything imaginable. Water pressure is strong and AC works very well. Condo location is ideal. Few minutes walk to the restaurants and shops yet far enough from the noise and crowds. Anne was prompt at answering all my questions and even let us check in one hour early. I would definitely rebook this property!

Top Shelf Accomodation with perfect location

We loved this gorgeous condo and didn't want to leave! We were looking for 2 bedroom ocean-front condo that was easy walking distance to Kona town that also had top shelf furnishings and this place delivered all the above and more! The view can't be beaten. You are directly overlooking the water where my wife would enjoy her morning cup of coffee or two (or three). Unlike other lanais, this was large enough for 5-6 people to enjoy the view of the waves. Bring polarized glasses so you can see the yellow tangs feeding on the rocks below! The inside looks just like the pictures... granite, nice fixtures, and appliances. We didn't use the pool/grill/hot tub area but easily accessible to those interested. There is also a nice green space between the building and the ocean if you want to enjoy your coffee or yoga directly by the sea. Parking was never an issue and it was an easy walk to Kona town. The owner was always very responsive to questions prior to and during the trip. I would absolutely book this unit again. Mahalo

Best location and views ever

Our first trip to Kona and my whole family agrees- it would be hard to find a better condo! We saw turtles almost daily. From the Lanai, we watched a parade of spinner dolphins performing in the bay. Saw whales a few times too! Loved walking to town for snacks and meals. The unit has more than we needed! Full kitchen stocked w anything for cooking and the very large acrylic wine glasses helped us cheer the sunset each night. Boogie boards used daily and beach chairs easy to transport and fold into rental car. Even w Covid , we were always able to use the pool when we wanted to. Owners super communicative. Bathrooms very nice. TVs very large -especially in family room so we could cheer the Buckeyes to a win! Lanai and corner unit views cannot be beat. Thank you Anne and family for use if this rental. We’re going to work hard to return someday -hopefully sooner than later. We were all sad to drive away. Even my hard to please teens were raving about the condo as we drove to airport. Peace out 2020 and may 2021 bring more tourist dollars to Kona.

The property was nicely renovated and very clean. The ocean views were wonderful. Walking distance to everything was great. My only complaint is the bed in the guest room was tiny, it was fine for one person but not for two people.

Hawaii vacation

The unit was lovely and had all the items we needed to relax at the unit and to go to the beach. The master bedroom was spacious. The 2nd bedroom has a queen and is a little tight but we only needed it to sleep since the living areas were so comfortable. The owner was quick to help when we had a question. It has a lovely view of the ocean and we watched surfers almost every day. It is very close to town and we were able to walk to meals and shops. It was a lovely place to stay and very nicely decorated.

Fantastic Stay in the Heart of Kona

We recently stayed at this beautiful property and couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. The location is absolutely unbeatable – just two blocks from downtown Kona! We loved being able to walk to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront with ease. The amenities at this property are fantastic. The heated pool was a highlight, offering the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring.The property itself is wonderfully appointed, and was amongst the cleanest properties we've stayed at. It feels like the owners have thought of everything to make guests comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the decor is stylish and inviting. However, if I had to make one small recommendation, it would be to scale back on the decorative pillows and include just a few more practical extras like additional bed pillows and at least one more blanket or snuggies for those cooler evenings.Overall, this property is a gem – perfect for a relaxing getaway in Kona. We will absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a well-located, well-equipped vacation rental.

Fantastic accommodation & location!

Incredible views (corner unit) and sound of waves right on the rocky beach. Walkable to town and small beach. Unit is tastefully remodeled with all amenities as listed. Pool, hot tub and grills nice, not crowded and very clean (crew cleans recreational areas every morning!). Main bedroom w/ ensuite bathroom is huge, 2nd bedroom and bathroom good size. Communications easy. Hope to stay again!
