Welcome to Kona Makai 6201, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom oceanfront unit, where the wrap-around lanai offers some of the best views on the island. Located less than one mile from downtown Kailua-Kona, you'll have access to all of the fun and excitement the island has to offer. Ocean access is located immediately in front of the unit for swimming, snorkeling and/or diving.
You will fall in love with this condo with updated tropically appointed décor, stunning ocean views from lanai and from each room. Sit back and unwind in the living room while watching the large flat screen smart TV in the living room. Both living room and master bedroom TVs have access to expanded entertainment/sport packages and free high-speed internet. Stroll outside to the wrap-around lanai where you'll find lots of comfortable seating and the ideal place to enjoy the sunset, dine or catch a glimpse of whales (when in season) and dolphins.
The fully equipped kitchen has stylish wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances. granite countertops and backsplash. You'll love the layout of the kitchen, which blends into the living area. When you're ready for a peaceful night's sleep, Kona Makai 6201 is furnished with two beautifully appointed suites, each one with its own bathroom and private lanai access. The first room has a Sleep Number king-size bed and updated en suite bathroom with walk-in shower and rainfall showerhead. The guest bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and an updated en suite bathroom with tub/shower combination. There's also a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room, which is ideal for comfortably accommodating additional guests.
Laundry facilities are in unit with full size washer and dryer as well as a key-pad entry and parking space for your convenience. Beach chairs, beach umbrellas, body boards, snorkel equipment, towels, cooler and a variety of other recreational items are provided in the unit so you can enjoy a seaside picnic or a day at the beach
The Kona Makai community is surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens and fragrant tropical flowers. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the sparkling ocean-view pool, soak in the hot tub, lounge by the oceanside, or host a cookout in the barbecue area. No need to skip your workouts while you're on vacation. Kona Makai has an on-site gym, as well as ping pong tables and tennis courts.
Beautiful downtown Kailua-Kona is a short walk away where you find many restaurants, shopping, the pier, and its many significant Hawaiian cultural landmarks. Both the Hulihee Palace and the Mokuaikaua Church are located on Ali'i Drive. King Kamehameha I spent his last years living near the site of what is now King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, until his passing in 1819. The Ahu'ena Heiau, located on the grounds of the hotel, is a reconstructed temple rebuilt by the late king and is on the register of National Historic Landmarks.
The Kailua-Kona Pier has access to Hawaii's best scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, and dolphin and whale watching. Visit the famous farmers market downtown and/or enjoy a shave ice or a cup of Kona coffee, dine on a light snack or a gourmet meal, buy an inexpensive souvenir or a piece of fine art, book an activity, go for a swim or hang out at the beach. The pier is the official starting and finishing point of the Ironman World Championship (held annually in October). Everything you want and need is readily available in the heart of Kailua-Kona town.
The Kona Makai community is the perfect home base to explore a variety of Big Island sites and activities, such as Volcanoes National Park, Mauna Kea Observatory and so much more.
The Kona Makai property is not equipped with elevators and unit 6-201 is up one flight of stairs.
