VILLAGILDA IS A HOLIDAY RENTAL with PRIVATE POOL and free air conditioning, composed by 2 UNITS. It's a lovely property with a private fenced garden, automatic irrigation system & night lighting system (gazebo with table and chairs, a picnic bench, BBQ and dining area) and exclusive use of pool with sunbeds, deckchairs and parasol ( half May to half October) lit blue at night, free parking, Wi-Fi, A/C and great side lake view outside. It includes 2 nearby apartments (CAMELIA & CASETTA), each one with its own entrance:
- CAMELIA has 2 large bedrooms, a spacious kitchen with dish washer, livingroom with 3 sofas and smart TV 43" , very large bathroom (11sqm) with washing machine [4/6 people];
- CASETTA has a frontpool doubleroom + a SUITE/unique area with en-suite bathroom, TV 32", sofa bed, single bed, optional kitchenette [2/4 people].
Placed in a lush area of a cobbled medieval village named Bracciano (28 miles from Rome), well known for its famous Odescalchi Castle (2,4 km away) and for its clear water Lake Bracciano (3 kms away), perfect for visiting ROME and VITERBO, 3 LAKES, Mignone river, free or private THERMAL BATHS, SEASIDE, UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES, TUSCANY and many other places of interest.

Villa Gilda is nice, spacious and well equipped. The pool area is great. Anna is a perfect host. She is so friendly and helpful. The communication was very easy with her before and during our holiday.

Lovely villa in tranquil setting

We spent a lovely week at Villa Gilda as a family of 6 (2 adults, 3 teenagers and a 3 year old). It was a perfect space for us all, the villa was spotless, the pool was fantastic and the outdoor space is great for relaxing. Anna was a fabulous host, she was extremely helpful with booking local restaurants and taxis and sent details of all local events happening during our stay. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend the villa!

My family and I had a wonderful time at villa Gilda. Lovely clean well maintained green garden with pool right outside door. Ideal for children. Not one but two bottles of wine waiting for us on our arrival. Our host Anna had drawn up a timetable of local festivals and events for the duration of our stay. Lake nearby. Beach 20 min drive. Thermal baths in stigliana 15 mins drive. Highly recommend this villa for holiday.

Memorable stay

Our group of 7 had a wonderful stay at Villa Gilda. Villa Gilda is in a very nice and quiet neighborhood and Anna (host) was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She gave us great recommendations of places to visit and the restaurants to eat at during our stay. The house was clean and well-maintained, and the host provided all the necessary amenities. The swimming pool was lovely – we had a fantastic time barbequing poolside and swimming. Anna was always available to assist with any questions that we had. We truly appreciated her hospitality and would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for a great place to stay. Thank you for a fantastic experience.

Magical!!!

The villa, its facilities, especially it's pool are really beautiful. the location is quiet and tranquil with 2 lovely Pizzerias within walking distance. So too, there's a lovely rural walk to beautiful Bracciano. To top it all the hostess, Anna is to be treasured. she could not have been more helpful.... fresh linen, towels, booking restaurants and taxis. She even provided an ambulance and interpreting service when my wife had an accident. a very special holiday in a very special place.

Absolutely Perfect!

This property is the best we've ever stayed in. The house is big and spacious and fully equipped with everything you could need. The pool and gardens are immaculately kept and perfect for outdoor dining. It is also ideal for children as the pool is right beside the house. There is a great deal to see and do within an hour drive from the house and of course Rome is just a 45 minute train journey away. Whereas the house is excellent, the best part about our stay was Anna's hospitality. She had lots of useful information available about things to do and see and was continuously making sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. I can't recommend this property highly enough.

Amazing Experience

This villa was perfect for our party of two families. The pool area was amazing. Our kids swam morning, late after and night almost everyday. The villa location was wonderful. In walking distances to two delicious pizzerias and a short drive to the beautiful town of Bracciano with one of the most amazing Medieval Castles we have visited. Last but not least, our host Anna made the our experience so special. Before we got there and throughout the trip, she provided us with information about the area; including lists of special events happening around the lake. Anna also helped us make several reservations and was so responsive to all of our questions and needs. Villa Gilda and Lake Bracciano are truly special. We will be back!

Stayed 8 nights at Villa Gilda with my family. Rented both apartments during our stay and payed around 2800 EUR. Anna (host) was very helpful before and during our stay. Location in a local neighbourhood. Possible to walk into Bracciano centre, but takes a while and car is preferable. Outside area is really great. Nice pool, sun beds and outside table with sun protection. Also an outside grill for bbq. Apartments where clean and had the necessary utilities. At least for us since we rented both apartments. The apartments are on the ground floor from the house of the host. One of our teenager where using one bed sofa. We moved the mattress down on the floor because it was “squeaking” quite a lot. Also one of the queen/king beds needed some fixing which Anna arranged.

Stunning property with lovely host (Anna)

Villa Gilda is absolutely perfect for a family holiday, even with two demanding teenagers! It's the best place we've rented and we've been using Home and Away for 13 years! The property is just as described with a lovely, large pool (very clean) located in a well-laid out garden that gets the sun from dawn to dusk. The football table was great fun and we enjoyed eating outside on several occasions. Inside, there is all the equipment you need to cook from scratch and Anna provides all of the basics in a welcome basket. Anna is a wonderful host, so helpful and friendly. She gave us lots of useful information and recommended all of the best places to visit nearby. She helped with booking meals at local pizzerias and couldn't have been nicer, but was always very careful to allow us plenty of privacy. The location of Villa Gilda is very peaceful, about 2.5km from the centre of Bracciano. Out favourite restaurant was the local Taverna dei Balbi, which is just a 5 minute walk away. I'd recommend hiring a car as you need this to get around and visit the thermal baths at Stigliano, the lake and town of Bracciano and lots of other local tourist spots. You can reach Rome by train from Bracciano in about 40 minutes, which is ideal. Villa Gilda is a stunning property in a lovely part of Italy.

Great spacious villa in real Italy

Anna's service was exceptional and was very accomodating in moving the booking for us twice due to covisd travel restrictions. Her communication throughout was quick and thorough. The villa itself was spacious and easily suitable for our 2 families of 4. It was immaculately clean with all the required equipment for a holiday. The pool and outdoor area was perfect and enough to entertain kids, there is a table football and table tennis table. The location is a bit remote however there are 2 loveley Italian restaurants in walking distance. We chose not to have a car and did walk regularly into Bracciano which took 30-40 minutes and arranged cabs back. There is a bus but they seem to run to their own time table so not very reliable. Rome is easily accessible by train from Bracciano and Anna was always on hand to assist us when required. The Lake is also amazing with a beach, sunloungers, activities and plenty restaurants. Its another 15/20 minute walk on from Braciano and I would suggest either taxi or bus back as the walk back up to town is challenging! If you are looking for a real Italian experience then do not hesitate to book. If you want tourist Italy where everything is laid on a plate tben this is not for you. If we ever go back to the Bracciano area we will not hesitate to stay here again.

A nice place and kind people

We are a group of friends (5 adults 40+ and 2 kids 10 and 13) that spent two weeks in the accommodation in Aug 2024. The accomodation is split into two apartments with a dedicated garden and a wonderful (very large) swimming pool. Anna is a very nice and uncomplicated lady, providing lots of tips as to events in the surroundings or sightseeing opportunities. The accomodation is very clean and convenient and well furbished. The outdoors are fantastic with a nice garden all around the pool and also many possibilities to find some shadow. Another plus: a tennis table and a soccer table are available at all times. All amenities are at a 5 minute-driving distance, as well as Bracciano, set directly by the lake. The place was not crowded at all with tourists, which we much appreciated. The main spots however remain reachable within less than one hour (Rome, beaches). In total, the accomodation offers all you can have in terms of commodities, location and welcoming behaviour of the owners. We definitely recommend this place. Our only suggestions for even better experience: - we would advise a few more plates, forks and knives to be made available. Also, a good meat knife would be good - the outdoor lights are under remote control. We are quite late birds and playing poker in the dark can be tricky :-) These are only details and pieces of advice, nothing to complain about! We use this opportunity to warmly thank Anna for all the support provided!

kids playground!

What a wonderful place to rest and play! We filled this place to the brims! Friends kept adding to the list of guests and a total of 13 ppl (7 of which children age 2.5-12) stayed here. We all fit, and we ALL loved it! We were here for 5 days, 2 of those days we barely left the property because we were having su much fun, swimming, realzing, BBQing, playing foosball and table tennis. The large patio accomodated our long dinners and was such a baeutiful gathering space, the kitchen was well equipped, and the BBQ, while small for a group of our size, was nice and functional. All communication with Anna went smoothly and pleasently. She provided many tips and ideas for our group, was readily available when we needed extra sheets and clear and detailed upon check in and check out. At a short pleasant walk from the house we found a delicious pizzeria, both italian and american guests thought of as excellent, we took some day trips to visit hamlets on hiltops (check out Calcata!) and the lake, as well as the beautiful castle of Bracciano. We lost our security deposit, or rather we had to use it towards the payment of a technician who had to fix the front door. This door is tricky and not well funcitoning, we were informed upon arrival on how to handle the front lock but alas someone forced the handle and the door broke. Anna communicated clearly with us and was kind thoughtout this transaction. Overall, would stay here again any day. I hope they fix the door and make it more kid-friendly if they are ok hosting children, becasue this place is in fact a kids playground which makes it for a pleasant vacation for ALL. Grazie Anna!

Traumhafte Urlaubstage in Bracchiano

Das großzügige Ferienhaus mit zwei separaten Einheiten bietet sich für einen Urlaub mit Freunden oder einer großen Familie an. Die Außenanlage mit dem tollen Pool, dem gemütlichen Sitzbereich, Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder und Jugendliche und ausreichend Liegen lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Nähe zum See, zum Meer, nach Rom und der romantische Ortskern bieten sehr viel Abwechslung. Anna ist eine tolle Gastgeberin und hat viele Tipps zur Freizeitgestaltung gegeben. Die zwei Pizzerien, die fußläufig erreichbar sind, sind lecker und preiswert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

A memorable holiday in Bracciano

We stayed in Villa Gilda for three weeks in August with our children (6 and 9 years) and our parents. we were looking for a nice place where we could spend quality time with our children and families, outside the too crowed holiday destination resorts. This was a must considering the current pandemic. Villa Gilda met all our expectations! The villa is great, well kept , spacious and has lots of character. Both the apartments were clean and tidy. They had all the cooking equipment and appliances we needed; sets of towels and bed linen changed at request. The green outdoor space was enriched with a good-size swimming pool, table tennis and table football which made our children over the moon. there was time to relax and the noises from the other properties were kept to a minimum. The host, Anna, was amazing! She has been always available when needed. She gave us lots of information about places to visit, made contact with the local organised beach by the lake to book a place for us, informed us on local events and was always promptly replying to my messages before and during my stay. The location is fantastic, just up a hill from Bracciano city centre (5 minutes drive from the property). From the Villa you can easily reach Bracciano lake, Martignano Lake, Cerveteri, Monterano, Manziana, Oriolo Romano and the sea as well. All places which deserve a visit; the area has plenty of natural and historical beauty. the weather was great! We stayed in august therefore we were expecting hot temperature during the day, however in the late afternoon a nice breeze always blows and cools the temperature down to the point that you need to wear a jumper in the evening. What else can we add? a memorable holiday in a fantastic place. we would definitively recommend it!

Ein erholsamer Urlaub, weit weg vom Massentourismus

Die Villa, der Ort, die Gastgeberin, alles war fantastisch. Ein gepflegtes Haus, das reichlich Platz bietet und gut ausgestattet ist. Anna ist sehr engagiert und hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Durch die liebevolle Art der Gastgeberin, dem tollen Pool und den schönen Zimmern war unser Urlaub ein voller Erfolg. Der See in der Nähe, die Burg und die engen Gassen mit den kleinen Geschäften sind frei von Massentourismus und ideal, um Italien nah zu sein. Leider waren keine Fahrräder vorhanden, das war schade. Aber sonst wären wir rundum zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke, liebe Anna, für die schöne Zeit.

Great apartment in a family home

Anna was a fantastic host who shared her knowledge of the local area and what was on each day. The apartments are on the bottom floor of the house although we only used the bigger one as our children were too young to split between two places (not adjoining). The pool and garden were lovely to relax in during the day and it was easy to eat outside for all our meals. Bracciano and the lake were beautiful. We visited the castle and were the only visitors that day in July, having it to ourselves! We had several fun days doing Watersports on the lake too.

Lovely villa, wonderful host

My family and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Villa Gilda. The villa is spacious and very private. We rented the main apartment and the smaller Casetta for nine days. Both were immaculately clean and very spacious. With sole use of the pool and garden we made the most of the great facilities provided, including table tennis and table football. The villa is a great base for anyone wanting to explore Lake Bracciano and the surrounding area. Not keen drivers when abroad, we opted to explore on foot. Bracciano town is about 40 minutes walk away and its castle and historic centre are well worth a visit. The nearby lakeside village of Aguillara, as well as Rome and Viterbo can all be reached by train from Bracciano. There are lots of great dining options in Bracciano as well as two very good local restaurants a short 5 minute walk from the villa. Our special thanks go to Anna who was the most accommodating host we have ever known. Her attention to all our needs made the stay truly exceptional, helping us arrange trips and even taking us to the local supermarket, without ever being intrusive. Villa Gilda is an excellent, spacious and relaxing place to stay and Anna is the perfect host. We will definitely be back!

Didn't want to go home!

We had a wonderful week at Villa Gilda. The house and the pool was perfect for a family of 5 grown-ups and 1 teenager. The village is cosy and the lake nearby is beautiful . If you like history, visit Bracciano Castle! It was also nice to take the train for a visit to Rome. Our hostess Anna was so nice and helpful. The only problem was that after one week we didn't want to leave...;-) This was definiteley not the last time we went to Bracciano! Cecilia from Sweden

Sehr schöne Villa mit Top-Vermieterin

In sehr schöner Lage über Bracciano gelegen. Die Vermieterin ist total nett, überaus hilfreich und gibt jede Menge Tipps, was die Anreise, das Einkaufen, Restaurants und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten angeht. Zudem wurden wir am Anreisetag mit hausgemachter Lasagne begrüßt. Sehr empfehlenswert!
