About this property

Gite with a high standard of comfort between the garrigue and the provence

The gite is a barn conversion that has been entirely renovated in 2007 in the tradition of the Mas Languedocien with the same care and attention to detail as our own home.

The floors are tiled with terracotta tiles and the walls lime washed. There is an imposing timbered ceiling and it is decorated throughout with the colours of the South. You will be charmed by its comfort and authenticity. The gite is 100sqm on two levels, kitchen with french windows opening into the garden on the first level and on the second level a sitting room, bathroom and three bedrooms one being on a spacious mezzanine.

Within a short distance, there is a small natural lake and a family restaurant with a pool specializing in traditional cooking. There is also a riding stables with trekking trips to the gorges of Herault.

Beautiful Gîte and brilliant hosts

We had a fantastic week long stay at the Gîte Mas du Cournon. Sébastien and Magali were so welcoming and greeted us on our arrival to show us everything with the property. Their communication before and during the stay was excellent too. The Gîte itself is a beautiful barn conversion and very tastefully done. The location is very secluded so not means it is wonderfully peaceful and very dark at night. You would definitely need a car to do any day trips or visit local towns. The nearest bakery/small shop is about 10 mins/8km away in Viols Le Fort, which was nice to get fresh croissants and bread on a morning. We had our infant daughter with us (18 months old) and the hosts provided us with everything we needed (cot, baby bath, toys, changing mat, stair gates). Having use of the pool is excellent, it's in their beautiful garden and is very refreshing! Would thoroughly recommend the property for anyone looking to visit the Montpellier area - it's about 1hr 20 from some beautiful beaches, 1hr 30 from Avignon and 30mins from Nîmes. There is plenty to explore!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans le gîte de Magali et Sébastien ! Ils sont très sympathiques, prévenants, et attentifs au bien-être de leurs hôtes. La région est top, avec de belles excursions faire à moins d'1h de route. Le logement est bien décoré, et équipé. À noter que la piscine n'est pas juste à la sortie de l'espace occupé, mais de l'autre côté du bâtiment à quelques dizaines de mètres, ce qui n'est pas gênant en sois. Escapade en novembre au Pic Saint Loup

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans les environs du Pic Saint Loup. Balades en vélo, golfs et visites de sites et villages merveilleux : le cirque de Mourez , St Guilhem le désert, Pic Saint Loup. Et visites de vignerons passionnés sur un terroir plein de belles surprises, Terrasses du Larzac, Pic St Loup et autres trésors sans AOC 😍. Le tout sous un climat frais mais encore très ensoleillé en cette fin novembre : nous avons déjeuné tous les midi en terrasse 😎. Merci à Magali et Sébastien pour leur disponibilité et leurs conseils avisés de visites 👍.

Stilvolles und schönes Ferienhaus

Magali und Sébastien sind sehr freundliche, aufmerksame und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Der alte umgebaute Pferdestall ist sehr schön eingerichtet, hat ein angenehmes Raumklima. Auf der Terrasse haben wir uns nach unseren Ausflügen wohl gefühlt und die Ruhe genossen. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub dort.

Ort der Ruhe und idealer Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten

Wer die Ruhe jenseits des Küstentrubels sucht, findet bei Magali und Sébastien den perfekten Ort, um Urlaub zu machen. In einem alten Mas gelegen, wurde die ehemalige Scheune liebevoll restauriert und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Dank des erfrischenden Pools, Möglichkeiten zum herumstromern und zahlreichen tierischen Begegnungen, wurde es auch für die Kinder nie langweilig! Die nähere Umgebung bietet neben Ausflügen nach Montpellier und ans Meer zahlreiche Aktivitäten wie Canyoning, Klettern, Kajak fahren und Reiten auf dem nachbarlichen Hof. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt in der Natur

Wir bedanken uns herzlich bei Magalie und Sebastien. Sie sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Wir haben acht sehr erholsame Tage in der schönen Unterkunft verbracht. Die sehr geschmackvolle und liebevoll gestaltete Einrichtung hat sehr zu unserem Wohlbefinden beigetragen. Es ist genügend Platz vorhanden und die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Das Mas liegt etwas abseits- und man muss die Ausflüge mit dem Auto gestalten, dafür wird man tagsüber und nachts mit wunderbarer Ruhe belohnt. Es gibt zahlreiche lohnende Besichtigungen und Wanderungen in der Gegend. Auf Wunsch wird man von Sebastien mit nützlichen Informationen darüber versorgt.Die Kommunikation auf Englisch lief hervorragend.

Très joli gîte dans la garrigue

Joli gîte entièrement restauré avec goût dans une ancienne grange. Très bien situé pour profiter des nombreuses curiosités de la région. Sa superbe piscine est idéale pour se détendre entre deux randonnées. Merci à Sébastien et Magali pour leur accueil attentionné, dommage que l'on n'ait pas pu faire plus ample connaissance. Heerlijke locatie

Mooie hoeve waar je heerlijk kunt relaxen en een eigen zwembad hebt. Dichtbij is ook een manege waar je begeleid een tocht door de bossen kunt maken. Leuke kleine dorpjes in de buurt. Montpellier is goed aan te rijden via deze locatie. Aardige eigenaren.
