Enjoy the large fire pit outdoors for cooking your S'mores over the romantic crackling fire.

About the host
Hosted by Peggy Schaefer

Bob and I (Peg) are a clean, neat, professional, energetic, fun loving couple who enjoy hiking high peaks, traveling, reading a great book and meeting new friends. We do not watch TV on a regular basis. We prefer pursing our passions - which include all sorts of travel, adventure and exploring new areas. We benefit from sitting on our deck with a drink in the Summer; or sitting in front of the inside fireplace in the Winter.
Bob owns his own business, The Opportunity Group. He's an Organizational Coach, where he transforms Managers into Leaders. He also writes romance/mystery novels [samples at the cabin]. Peg is in charge of Stakeholder Services at the Opportunity Group, and volunteers at the local hospice.
For readers, you may find it interesting to note that much of Bob's Fantasy/Romance novel; JOURNEY, The Love Story of the Century, Part II was written in the cabin. Pictures of the trail from the cabin also appear in Part II. When you sit by the campfire, you will be sharing the same view that inspired some pretty interesting stories. The books may be found on Amazon. To find the books, Google 'Catlan Samuels Journey' (that is Bob's pen name). Part III of the trilogy is under way.

Why they chose this property
We very much enjoy the woods and getting off the grid as much as our busy schedules will allow.
When we are not there, we love to share the cabin with guests, who have a passion for peacefulness, birds, woods, nature and non-human noises.
Even though you are 20 minutes away from most anything, yet you feel like you are in the middle of no where.
Inside the cabin, being surrounded by knotty pine (and the smell of knotty pine), is almost like camping outside with the luxury of a hot shower at your fingertips.
The easy forest trails allow for a casual back to nature experience, or for the more experienced hiker, the 5 mile hike around the block might suit your needs.

What makes this property unique
Cozy Cabin is the perfect spot for couples who want a completely secluded, romantic getaway where no one will find them, but it's also great for families who want to enjoy a woods experience with modern amenities! When guests are ready to come out of the forest, there is so much to see and do all within 15-20 minutes: Letchworth State Park, Stonybrook State Park, Swain Mountain Ski Resort, the Mount Morris Dam, and 7,700 acres of NYS Wildlife Management/wilderness Area to explore! Six Flags Darien Lake is 45 minutes away, and Niagara Falls is just over an hour and a half drive!
If you are planning a day trip to Rochester and the Finger Lakes, check out the many wineries, Strong Museum of Play, Planetarium, Highland Park for their lilacs, and so much more.
