Beautiful location and excellent base

We had a wonderful family holiday, the house is beautiful and exceptionally clean. There is everything you need in the kitchen and plenty of room for a big family. The house is in a beautiful, quiet rural location but excellent place to explore many local attractions as well as in visiting distance of France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The hospitality shown by Florence and Pierre was lovely and we were very grateful for the fresh eggs every day. We cannot recommend this property enough. Thank you very much indeed.

Belgium Countryside

The property was very nice, clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay. You are truly out in the country in this house but only a few minutes to bakeries, stores and other essentials.

Brilliant Family Holiday

We arrived at the property about an hour earlier than expected. Florence had no problem with us entering early. She showed us all around and explained where everything was. As it was very hot she produced 3 fans for the bedrooms which gratefully received. The Gite was spotless and Florence and her husband were very welcoming. It was lovely being able to collect fresh eggs, and we certainly made use of the games room and BBQ. We would recommend this property. Thank you Florence and Pierre.

Beautiful home

This is a beautiful and very well kept home! We loved the chickens and the side yard and the eggs! Anything that the host can do to make your stay comfortable and organized has already been done. Very impressive. She has a very fine tuned System down which is really nice! She’s clearly a master Gardner and the garden is exquisite. It’s a nice country home that is away from it all. The home was EXTREMELY clean. The only reason I can’t give us a five star is because the beds are extremely uncomfortable. Master bed is very hard and you can literally feel springs in the mattress. I ended up sleeping in one of the twin beds after the first night which was just fine. Note for anyone with babies or toddlers: GORGEOUS AND WELL KEPT home with plenty of amenties for babies and kids. There are a lot of things that are a little bit scary if you have toddlers or babies. Large gaps in between the stairs and a lot of falling risks (large gaps between slats on the railings and a concrete landing) and super steep stairs (think ladder stair combo) in the home. The yard is not fenced (to no fault of the owner or home) but I couldn’t let my little go outside alone. Again, amazing owner and Home, just a heads up for those with little.

Thank you for your comment, Jennifer. We are trying to do the best for our guests and really feel concerned, but I'm really surprised that you didn't tell us anything during your stay because we could have solved the problem by changing it. You are the first one in 16 years saying the bed is uncomfortable. I presume it was the yellow bedroom bed. It is a medium firm latex mattress and nobody complained about it. We regularly change our mattresses since we began to rent this house. We put 3 new mattresses last year (blue and melon bedrooms) and we are going to check all of them because a problem can appear at any time. Some people prefer hard mattresses and some others soft ones. It is not really easy to find a mattress suitable for everyone... And there are people coming to our place since 10 years : if the beds were uncomfortable, I don't think they would come again or they would have told us ! And regarding the stairs, the gaps between slats have a standard size in Europe, and when you mention "super steep stairs", it only relates the stairs going to the second floor, not the other ones ! And I would rather say "steep" better than "super steep" ... And I would like to mention that once again you are the first one telling us this, and we have rent this house for 16 years. I don't understand what you mean by "concrete landing". What else could we have ? Wooden floor ? We have wooden floor everywhere except on the ground floor where it is natural stone, and not concrete. Last thing : you say "the yard is not fenced" BUT the garden in front of the house can be enclosed. You just had to close the front gate and you could have let your little 2 years old go outside alone and even have an eye on him ! Regarding the other part of the garden which is very large, it is true that it is not yet fully fenced, but anyway I think that you couldn't let your 2 years old alone in that part of the garden as a so large place is not suitable for a young 2 years old child alone : nobody can imagine what children can do ! Very nice big cosy house

Kurzurlaub

Wir hatten einen schönen kleinen Kurzurlaub mit der Familie, 9 Personen. Das Haus ist sehr schön und sauber. Es fehlte an nichts. Etwas hellhörig, da es ein älteres Haus war, aber das war für uns nicht schlimm. Die Lage war sehr ruhig, mit dem Auto ist man schnell in Huy oder in Lüttich. Die Kinder (5,10 & 13 Jahre) hatten mit dem großen Garten, den Hühnern, dem Kicker und der Tischtennisplatte viel Spaß.

Tolle Unterkunft

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und es hat nichts gefehlt. Super Ausstattung, sauber. Vermieter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Spülmaschine war kaputt und wurde umgehend durch ein neues Gerät ersetzt. Großer Garten, Tischtennisraum, Gefrierschrank... 5 Sterne

Mooi ruim huis met fijne tuin. Kan goed het hele jaar door worden gehuurd.

Ons verblijf was heel goed. Met goede voorzieningen, ruimte was perfect voor 8 personen. In de omgeving is ook voldoende te doen.

Ontspannend

Alles was er wat er moest zijn. Enkel de fitnessruimte was niet aanwezig. Maar alles wat er in de keuken nodig is staat er. We vonden niet direct de strijkplank en strijkijzer zoals vermeld was maar we werden onmiddellijk door de huurbazin verder geholpen. Zeker de moeite waard!

Wunderschönes Haus mit tollem Garten

Wir haben mit 2 Familien ein Wochenende verbracht. Die Zimmer waren sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Der große ruhige Garten ist sehr schön, der morgendliche Besuch bei den Hühnern ein Highlight. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke an Florence und Pierre!

Ein perfekter Kurzurlaub!

Florence und Pierre sind die perfekten Gastgeber! Die Kommunikation vor Antritt der Reise war immer sehr freundlich und schnell. Die Ankunft war perfekt organisiert. Das Haus war sehr sauber, liebevoll und komplett eingerichtet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Besonders haben wir uns über das Gastgeschenk (selbstgemachte Marmelade und Saft) gefreut und dass wir täglich die Eier der Hühner einsammeln durften. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille qui nous a fait oublier quelques jours la Covid-19. Le gîte est spacieux et très chaleureux, confortable et décoré avec goût. Les propriétaires sont attentionnés. Nous y reviendrons volontiers. À recommander.

Un week-end agréable !

De passage dans le gîte de Florence & Pierre pour un week-end en famille, nous avons trouvé le gîte spacieux et idéal pour une grande famille (ou plusieurs couples).
