Unser Eindruck: Zu Besuch bei Freunden mit vollem Bücherregal und leerem Kühlschrank. Dafür gute Restaurants und Supermarkt direkt nebenan. Trotz zentraler Lage überraschend ruhig.
The property style is dated but its got the nice climate. Highly recommend that place if you haven't get much time in Prague as the property is, walking distance to all points of interest. Communication with the host was really good... He is a very honest person.
Do not hesitate if you want to book it just do it!
Located in the heart of the old city - the apartment is a perfect launching point for any Prague adventure. The apartment is spacious and comfortable with everything that you need to settle into life in the city. Thanks to Petr and Hanna for a wonderful stay
This was our secound time at this property. last year we had a wonderful time so we decided to come back.
Unfortunatly, on 22.8.19 22:00 we got back from the city, tried to open the door and the lock was stuck, the door did not open. We tried for 30 minuted and couldn't open the door.
We texted the property manager, and phoned, but she didn't answer in any way, so we had to phone the owner, that lives in another country.
We found out that the property manager that was responsible to help us was out of the country and there was no one that can help us.
The response was a disgrace: the owner said that this never happaned before. all he offered was that we will phone the local locksmith and gave us the number.
He refused to phone him himself even though we don't speak czech and he does.
We called the locksmith that doesn't speak english, and waited for him for 40 minutes in the dark hallway. (the lights did not work!)
When the locksmith came he couldn't open the door and had to call another expert, and they worked on it for more than 2 hours!!!!
meanwhile, the manager finally answered and asked that we pay for the lock 2000 crowns, and the owner will pay us back.
ofcourse we refused, and finally, at 1:30 am the locksmith removed the very old lock and told us "old, caput".
we were very upset about the treatment we got, and that there was no one available from the property to help us.
it was a horrible experience, and also the phonecalls to the owner, the manager and the locksmith cost us a fortune (abroud calls) that we will not get back. our 6yo child was sleeping on the floor.
when we left, the manager's mother apologized for the horrible experience and gave us cookies.
But this wasn't over!!!!!! as we got back from the trip we got an email from the owner that claimed that we have to pay for his old bad lock, and took all our deposit!!!!
We feel cheated, robbed, and want our money back. we feel like we should've got a compensation for this experience and the phone bill.
We ask vrbo site to make sure we will at least get out deposit back!!!

Response from VrboOwner on 4 April 2020
We strongly oppose the misleading review, unfair account of the events and the strong language of the client. The situation as he describes was in reality rather different. Here are our comments:
1) Deposit serves to cover the damage caused by client. To call someone a thief at the circumstances is totally outrageous!
2) The client family - as their mentioned - visited for the second time. It means that they were very happy with everything (see their appreciation from the last year), just like all our other clients.
3) Even though we happened to be over 1000 km away (and we have an infant that was sleeping), we immediately responded to their phone call, and subsequently spent 2 hours looking for and CONTACTING ON THE CLIENTS BEHALF the non-stop locksmith, and repeatedly contacted the client (who was not responding on his mobile) by all possible ways, by SMS as well as by email. What the client says on the matter is untrue. We did ALL that we possibly could have, under the circumstances. We kept calling and checking on the outcome of the locksmith visit, throughout the night, and we were waiting for the information that everything is OK.
4) Immediately the day after, we sent SMS to the client, letting him know that the locksmith informed us that the door got open and that all is fixed. We asked the client if all was OK, no answer. We paid for reparation much more than the deposit.
5) We sent 2 more emails to the client, asking to explain, what exactly happened with the lock - to know, how to manage this problem with the client and to avoid any such situation in the future, because in the past, nothing of this kind ever happened. Once again, without any answer from the client.
All our previous clients were careful with the apartment and the lock, which anyway never showed any signs of trouble, and so no problem ever occurred. The attitude of the client, who never answered any of our messages and emails clearly suggests that he has not been interested in solving the issue.
Again, please see ALL THE OTHER TOTALLY POSITIVE REFERENCES FROM OUR PREVIOUS CLIENTS.

The flat was a great home base for walking the city. Big, charming and comfortable. Each room was a distinct living space and we enjoyed them all. We would stay there again.
Prague is an amazing city and this apartment is located basically in the middle so you can easily access everything. The apartment was spacious and even though it was blazing hot outside, the high ceilings and floor fans kept it relatively cool. As others have noted, the windows do overlook a noisy street so this isn’t a place for light sleepers in the summer when you want the windows open. Petr was very responsive to my requests and easy to work with.
Just as the photos suggested and even more. Great location, nice kitchen to cook , eat and pay a game of cards :-) Very warm welcome and a lot of trust. It was our home-away indeed.
Glad to come back when time is on our side.

2 famiglie a Prague

Awesome Location!
The location couldn't be better. Literally, just 2 minutes from the central square, yet far enough from the noise...
The apartment is very spacious. The communications with the owner went very well too.
The only caveat is that the apartment is getting a little worn down and is in the need of some renovation. It is still fine, but if you are looking for something fancy, this is not it...
Overall, a great place, right in the heart of Prague!

BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT IN THE CENTER OF PRAGUE
We stayed in peter's apartment for 2 weeks, family of 6. We got a very large, beautiful and comfortable apartment. The location is great: right in the center of Prague, and close to metro and tram stations (200 meters). The apartment was very clean, we got towels and the kitchen is fully equipped. The building was very beautiful, and had an elevator. Thank you Peter and Elza for great hospitality! hope we will get to come again!!
