The house was perfect! The rooms were large yet cozy. The beds were comfy too. The only complaint I have is the pots and pans were not the greatest so we ate out more.
My whole family enjoyed this property! My son loved that we were just across the road from the river, and he spent quite a bit of his free time fishing. My daughter loved that she was able to have her own bedroom space and bathroom (huge plus for a preteen girl!). We loved the location as we were just a short walk or drive from anywhere se needed to go. Vivian was available for anything we needed for the duration of our stay. Highly recommend!
This 100-year-old home sits just 50 feet from the Indian River, with a large front porch that’s perfect for mornings and evenings by the water. The craftsmanship is beautiful, and the home feels both historic and comfortable, with modern updates like excellent air conditioning. The amenities feel thoughtfully collected over time, giving the home a warm, eclectic feel. We even found pieces that reminded us of family heirlooms. The dock is accessible but weathered, so it’s best to look it over before use, especially with kids. Accessibility was also better than expected for a home this age — the back door has a gentle slope and only a couple of steps, which made it easier for our walker-using traveler. The host was responsive and clearly cares about the home. Overall, it’s a comfortable and welcoming place to enjoy the river and the charm of a century-old house.
My family and I enjoyed staying at this beautiful old home with so much history and charm.
We loved the porches and especially the dock in the evenings where we saw a dolphin, a manatee and stingrays.
We loved it! Three generations and 10 people stayed here and enjoyed living in history! The house fit everybody comfortably and although over 100 years old has all the modern amenities. Vivian was a great host and always communicated promptly. The house has great views (don’t miss the sunrises) and a great location (walking distance to Cocoa). The kids all want to go back and so do we.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Home. Everything was nearby restaurant's, activities, and shopping. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and from our boat that we docked at the dock in front of the house. Such a wonderful trip we made lots of memories and plan to visit again in the future. Awesome place to stay.
Beautiful view of the Indian River. The house is older but very inviting. The three bedrooms upstairs were very clean and lovely, with toys for the grandkids to play with in the bunkbed room. The bedroom downstairs was a bit challenging as the floor was very uneven. Had a quite a tilt to it. The dock across the street needs the steps repaired as a few were not secured very well. Need to update the picture of the dock as it showed a screened in port at the end of it which was no longer there. We basically needed a place to sleep and didn't spend a lot of time at the house. Overall it was a charming place to stay and served our purpose perfectly.
This property and the house are absolutely beautiful. Perfect location to walk around town. The Indian River Lagoon is AMAZING! Every morning we walked down and watched the dolphins.
My family and I absolutely loved this house, property and location.
As always Strong Haven is a delight. The original architectural details have been lovingly preserved and we had a perfect setup for the race. Looking forward to next year!
Amazing house with a classic feel to the property.I loved it and will return in the future.Im sad to leave this property I wish I could stay forever.I very much recommend this property and thank you property owners.VERY NICE!!!!!!
We loved the house. It’s very old but with modern bathrooms and kitchen appliances. Obviously somebody lived here recently. All the drawers are full and the laundry room etc has stuff in every space It’s really not a problem at all However there is no internet and my husband had a meeting so we had to go to Starbucks. Vivian really need to sort thst out. We didn’t use any of the rvs but did need WiFi
On the whole a lovely stay with lovely views

Good location
If you want fishing this is the place! But you have to bring everything there.
Near by downtown good location!
I see a lot of bugs in the house ….. spiders……
I wished they are more organized staff.
Overall ok place.
The house was great. It was clean and well appointed. Comfortable places to sit, with plenty of seating, indoors and out. Perfect for people that needed a little space to spread out. It was close to a lot. Publix near by (by car). Spent time in Coco Beach Village. We even got to watch a SpaceX launch from the front yard. Next time we are going to use the BBQ. Thank you Vivian for a great stay.
Just stay off the pier. Hurricanes really took a toll on it.
Our multi-generational family came for a family reunion in Cocoa. Homey and nostalgic, curious and fascinating, comfy and convenient, even toys for the little one, Strong Haven held appeal for all of us. From fishing early in the morning to sitting on the hugh porch late into the evening enjoying the river view after a trip to the beach or our reunion activities, we loved it! Strong Haven could be a destination itself, not just a place to stay and we would love to come back. Thanks, Vivien!

This property is just what you see in the listing. It was like walking into a warm hug. The porch was all you could want, screened in at one end for those buggy nights. It’s on a quiet street, close to everything. We walked into the cutest chilliest town. 15 minutes from the beach and great food. Perfect for a large family with everything you could possibly need. If life takes me back to Cocoa I’ll do my best to to get this awesome hime again. Did I mention that it was AWESOME!
This historic house is charming and cozy, it felt like staying in a New England home combine with the southern vibe of the tropics! The property is located in an attractive and quiet neighborhood, still close to the action of the Cocoa Village community. The balcony was the perfect setting for our family and friends gathering for drinks, appetizers, and conversations along with memories revivals; all this while enjoying the relaxing views of nature and the river. The house was clean, beds were comfortable with soft sheets. Each floor had an ac/heater unit and it worked perfectly to keep the right temperature. Kitchen well equipped with all kind of utensils, pots, pans, 2 coffee makers, toaster etc. I would book this property again.
