Host had decorated with Autumn theme and provided fresh flowers. We loved it, plenty of room and a gorgeous back yard. Beds were very comfortable, extra blankets provided for chilly nights. Will definitely rent this place again.

Tremendous Stay

The property was everything we expected. Clean, spacious, with all of the trimmings and utensils needed. The grounds (yards) were well kept, and in a very quiet neighborhood. It was great!!!

Loved the house, the location, Back Yard All the artwork especially outside. Everything about Jekyll Island. House does not seem to be loved. Walk in looks great but obviously has not been deep cleaned in a long time. Needs to be pressure washed outside. Doors Windows etc

We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was well stocked. Our 2 dogs had lots of fun running in the fenced back yard. There is a magnificent tree in the back yard. Patio was a good place for morning coffee and evening cocktails.We are looking forward to booking this house again.

Reviewer Comments: Great Local,nice 1960's home has good bones, but....if owner would just use some bleach and disinfectant this place would be a destination worthy of the rental price! Yard was great, the crew came on Thursday with blowers that explained the extreme dust all over the house and windows! They should've brought tha pressure washers! Please clean up this gem or lower the price? I could even give ye a deal on a proper cleaning for a stay-cation?!

I wish I could say we had a wonderful week in Jekyll; however, we had to have our dog put down the second day here. Should anyone find themselves in need of a compassionate vet please contact Cheek to Cheek in Brunswick. After calling a couple of others vets Dr Fry was able to assist. The office could not have been more professional or kind. As far as Pelican House, this is our second stay and it feels like home. The only thing I would add is a pizza cutter. The house is big and the furniture comfy. Jekyll Realty is a great company and always in contact.

We love the location and the feel of the neighborhood. Since our last visit, the home appears to have had a thorough cleaning. There is new furniture in the family room. The kitchen is very well-equipped. We truly appreciate the fenced in back yard for our dogs. Overall, a warm, comfortable home! We shared one of the most sensational sunsets I’ve ever seen while at The Wharf restaurant while there, and the restaurant had live music both nights that we there-outside seating. We appreciate how clean the whole island is, especially the beaches. We must also acknowledge the staff at Jekyll Realty who have been exceptional every time we’ve stayed on Jekyll. Friendly, professional, very attentive and responsive to our needs-thank you! Highly recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is so cute and huge! We ended up shutting off half the house because we didn’t need it. We had 5 adults and dogs with us. I loved the windows and huge kitchen. Beds are comfy. Only issue, the outside area was messy with so many bugs, cobwebs, dead weeds, fallen branches everywhere. A hurricane/storm did just blow through a week before our arrival, I figure that is the reason. Quite a few dead palmetto bugs and big centipede looking bugs in plain sight when we got there and a few mornings after waking. I read that the place is exterminated monthly, so I guess that is why they were dead. We will definitely be back. It was nice to not worry about the dogs disturbing neighbors in a hotel. First time renting a house in Jekyll, now we are spoiled.
