A perfect getawa in Tuscany

We had the most wonderful week at this beautiful holiday home in the heart of Tuscany! The location is absolutely stunning – peaceful, surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards. It truly feels like a little slice of paradise.The house itself was cozy, clean, and very well-equipped with everything we needed. It had a lovely rustic charm while still offering all the modern comforts. We especially loved sitting outside in the evenings, enjoying the breathtaking views and the sound of nature.This place is fantastic for children! Our kids had so much space to play and explore safely. Loretta is a perfect host, we hope to come back soon!

Absolutely gorgeous!!

We’ve had an absolutely fantastic holiday in the most lovely cottage and in the most beautiful setting ever! And the pool, oh the pool..! We all loved it so much! It truly is a little paradise you’ve got there. Thank you so much for everything Loretta (grazie mille per tutto :) you are the most wonderful host! We also loved the fresh vegetables your husband gave us, that was so nice of him! We truly loved that part of Tuscany and would definitely love to visit it again!

We had a lovely holiday in Tuscany. The landscape is stunning — full of vineyards, rolling hills, and natural beauty. The outdoor area of the property, especially the clean and well-maintained pool, was absolutely beautiful and where we spent most of our time. Every other evening, we tried a different local restaurant or pizzeria and were never disappointed. The walking trails around the house were peaceful and relaxing.The house itself, however, was a bit of a contrast. Being an old stone building, it heated up significantly during the day. There was only one fan, which helped a little, but a proper air conditioning system — or at least mosquito screens — would have made a big difference, especially at night when ventilation wasn’t possible without letting insects in.On arrival, the kitchen wasn’t as clean as expected, so we washed all the dishes and cutlery before using them. Despite keeping the house tidy, we regularly noticed ant trails in the kitchen and bathroom.We chose this place because of the outstanding reviews, so we wanted to share a few details future guests might find helpful: the owners live just a few meters away on the same property and walked past the house several times a day. While this didn’t bother us, there was little interaction, no local tips, and the language barrier made communication a bit limited.Overall, we had a wonderful stay — just a few things to be aware of that may help future guests manage expectations.

Lovely cottage

Unusually hot week in Barberino Val De Elsa for everyone. We how ever had no air conditioning. One fan was provided. The sleeping loft was upstairs so it was warm. We managed, then we bought two other fans for the remainder of our stay. This helped . We also bought at the local appliance store an American coffee maker. This really helped our mornings. The bed was comfortable, bathroom clean, towels and linens nice. We brought all our cooking spices and purchased olive oil locally. There needs to be a grill, especially in the summer months to enhance the stay and allow for some dining at home. The pool was the best part of the cottage stay. We swam 2 times per day just to get out of the 90degree living space . The grounds are stunning and well maintained. It’s a beautiful property! Loved the olive trees, flowering plants and lavender! The surrounding area is amazing. We are agritourism folk and we be returning next 10/2026. Lord willing… The cottage could benefit from 2 ceiling fans. Just to move the air around in the lounge space and sleeping loft . We appreciated our experience and will not book in the summer likely again , without air conditioning. Some wire screens on the windows upstairs would help with the insects from entering the space. The heat was humbling .. the pool was the gem . Thank you Ms Loretta and family. We appreciate you all. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Toskana! Die Unterkunft war super gemütlich und hatte alles, was man braucht. Loretta war eine tolle Gastgeberin, sehr hilfsbereit und stand uns immer zur Verfügung, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Obwohl Loretta und ihre Familie auf dem selben Grundstück wohnen, hatten wir das Gefühl, alleine dort zu sein, was wir sehr genossen haben. Vom Pool aus hat man einen schönen Blick und der Garten lädt zum entspannen ein. Das Ferienhaus ist gut gelegen, sodass man viele Ausflüge machen kann.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in dem besonderen Häuschen, das sehr gemütlich eingerichtet ist. Umgeben von Natur haben wir den tollen Pool genossen. Unser Sohn (4) hatte großen Spaß und hat sich auch sehr gefreut, dass Loretta so lieb zu ihm war :) als es geregnet hat, hat uns die Gastgeberin schöne Tipps gegeben, was wir in der Umgebung machen können, das haben wir genutzt. Loretta war hilfsbereit, aber nicht aufdringlich. Also genau richtig! Wir hatten Entspannung, Ruhe und Natur und wir kommen gerne wieder.

RELAX .....

Siamo stati in questo cottage per 2 settimane con la nostra cagnolina. Splendida esperienza. Alloggio tipico toscano con bella piscina praticamente esclusiva circondato da un grande giardino situato in campagna. In pochi minuti di auto si raggiunge un fornitissimo supermarket e la sua posizione permette di visitare Firenze, Siena e San Gimignano con estrema facilità. Ma quello che ci ha colpito è stata la gentilezza e la disponibilità dei proprietari, rispettosi della privacy ma sempre pronti a consigli utili. Un luogo dove godere di tranquillità e aria buona. Consigliamo vivamente questo luogo. Grazie per il bel periodo trascorso.

Vacanza con carattere in un bellissimo ambiente

Abbiamo passato una settimana incantevole nella proprietà di Loretta, che e' stata molto gentile e disponibile, insieme alla sua famiglia fornendoci informazioni utili. La casa e' esattamente come si vede nelle foto, con un letto matrimoniale nel soppalco e due divani nella stanza principale, uno dei quali e' stato utilizzato come letto singolo. Tutta la casa e' stata arredata con attenzione ai piccoli particolari ed e' confortevole. Unico punto di attenzione e' la mancanza di aria condizionata o di un ventilatore per le notti più calde, anche se è possibile fare un pò di corrente con le finestre. La casa e' sulle colline ed e' quindi indispensabile avere la macchina anche per fare la spesa. La piscina e' bene organizzata e molto piacevole, la cui condivisione con la famiglia non e' stata un problema. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente

Perfect location

We had an incredible time in this beautiful and extremely clean house. Loretta and her beautiful family, her husband and daughter have been very helpful throughout our stay. The pool is the highlight, the water is very very clean. Although Loretta and her family are living very close, we had 100% privacy and they all have been so discrete and respectful. All most beautiful spots in the Toscany are very fast to reach, so the location is more than perfect. All in all the house, the cleanness and the privacy you get in this house is incredible. 100 stars!

Un posto incantevole, una dependance unica, accogliente, come essere a casa propria ma anche meglio! Proprietari estremamente discreti che ci hanno regalato pomodori con cui abbiamo fatto un sugo strepitoso. Se la Toscana mi è rimasta nel cuore è sicuramente anche merito di Loretta e della sua famiglia. A place in the sun

We had a lovely 12 day stay in this charming little villa near Tuscany. Loretta was a wonderful host and the location was perfect for us. We enjoyed exploring Sienna, Florence and nearby Poggibonsi, but days in the pool at the villa were hard to beat (especially with the 40 degree heat).

Ein schöner Ort zum Entspannen

Alles da, was man braucht, einen entspannten und schönen Urlaub zu verbringen. Da wir sehr viel Glück mit dem Wetter hatten, konnten wir den Pool ausreichend und ausgiebig nutzen. Auch die Gartendusche war sehr erfrischend. Für Uns war es mal eine andere Art Urlaub zu machen, da wir uns auch selbst verpflegt haben, und die Zeit zu zweit genießen konnten. Kein Hotel mit Hektik und abends essen gehen, sondern einfach In gemütlicher Atmosphäre zu essen und zu schwimmen.

This place was great!!! First, Loretta was a great host. She made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She also provided insights into local stores, restaurants and places to visit. The apartment itself was incredibly charming. Lots of room for the two of us and all the comforts of home.
