About this property

Farmhouse in the heart of the real chiantishire

Farmhouse in the heart of Chiantishire at 3 kms minutes distance from the historical township of Castellina in Chianti. 23 kms from Siena and 37 kms from Florence. The villa is set at an altitude of 600 meters.

We are surrounded by vineyards and oak woods a perfect place to run away from busy city life or to relax. The great location close to the most important art cities of Tuscany and close to the major streets of our land make our villa a perfect solution to discover Tuscany.

The villa is suitable for 4 people and consists of two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, multifunctional whirpool shower, and a large kitchen with all the comforts.

From one of the two rooms can be accessed the great terrace with porch from which is possible to arrive on the ample garden with sight on the hills of Chianti and on the valley of the Chantishire.

The ample garden (1 hectare - 100 ares) is protected by a 2 meters high fence. It gives a real and fully privacy to our guests. The house is 50 meters far from our house so for any information or questions guests can always count on us.

This quiet farmhouse was a lovely experience and a gem in our Italy travels. The kitchen is stocked with all the comforts of home, including olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Our sweet Nonna host showed us around the farmhouse and told us where to find a nearby market. We had private outdoor seating in the front of the house and also on a lovely back terrace with a view of rolling hills, greenery, and the distant mountains. Just lovely. The birdsong we heard every morning and evening was bea.

Excellent home base for our trip to Tuscany! Beautiful farm house in the heart of the Chianti region with easy access to Siena, Florence, and a host of other iconic villages. Very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed for a two-week stay. Close to local shops, restaurants, grocery, and wineries. Host was super helpful and prompt responding to any questions about the home or surrounding area. Highly recommended!!!

You can book with confidence as everything is as described and reviewed. We had a really nice relaxing stay, very peaceful and a fantastic location to visit the surrounding towns and villages, such beautiful countryside and friendly people. Most locations are within 30 minutes to an hour away, driving at the more sedate and safer speed required. Why rush your on holiday! Fantastic isolation

The house was beautiful and the location was wonderfully quiet and set back from the main road. It’s quaint and cozy. There’s a short gravel road up to the cottage but it’s an easy drive. I would definitely book again.

A return trip to this cottage which we first visited for just a few days sometime around 2012.The cottage is just as beautiful as it was then. It has been well maintained and the views remain heavenly!Castellina too has aged well. more restaurants, shopping, art and vineyards. A huge shoutout to Podere La Piaggia for a beautiful and memorable private tasting and lunch!

The most beautiful experience! The little house is even better than the photos! Close to the quaint village, however, it should be noted that there are no grocery markets open on Sunday so do account for that. Lovely stay that I would highly recommend!

I'm Daniele Sandrelli the owner of the farmhouse. The villa is situated in the center of our farm. We produce saffron, wine and lavender. My family lives here since 1865, but the farmhouse was restructuring on 2005. In the past was an ancient agricultural structure building at the beginning of the 1900's. Restructuring the villa was inspired by the typical Tuscany style: stone walls, "cotto" tile floors, joists roofs and beds in wrought iron and big terrace with porch.
