On the first floor there are 4 double rooms with air-conditioning, and 3 bathrooms.
On the ground floor large halls, billiard area, dining room and large well-equipped kitchen.
Kitchen with refrigerator,dishwasher,oven, microwave, coffee machines, toasters, etc.
Laundry space with washing machine and tug
Covered verandas for outdoor dining, with bbc,large garden equipped with private 7x14 pool. (opens May - September )
The owners live in the large detached property/other area, with independent access.
The Villa is in an ideal geographical context, within an organic estate of 110 hectares (vineyards, fields cultivated with wheat, spelt and legumes) for a holiday in the countryside in the hills of Siena; holiday between countryside, art and sea with the Tyrrhenian coasts just 60 km away.
Inside the same estate the Farm Le Casacce: our organic pasta factory with Biottega for the direct sale of our products

. Nearby, a few km from Villa Poggio to the Sun there is a sport fishing lake, the sulfur thermal waters of Petriolo, with state-of-the-art thermal facilities with the possibility of access to even a free area, the 18-hole La Bagnaia golf course.

At 3 km the village of S.Rocco in Pilli, supermarket, pharmacy, medical guard, banks, post office, pizzeria, restaurants, bars etc.

Great farniente of Tuscan country side

Amazing location deep in the Tuscan country, perfect-sized pool, ping-pong table for the kids (...and adults), A/C in the bedroom if you need to flee the summer heat of the nights. Perfect for 2 families with kids, thanks to 4 rooms good sized and 3 bathrooms.

Wonderful Stay!

A group of 8 friends stayed three nights and enjoyed this beautiful villa. We made pasta, bread and dessert with Guglielmo as he educated us about his organic farm. A delicious dinner followed where we enjoyed antipasto as well as local appetizers, pasta, and chargrilled meat all accompanied by local wines. Tiramisu was the finishing touch! He and his wife, Federica made our trip a very memorable one!

Great Villa for families

Thank you for hosting us! The Villa is beautiful and it was a perfect fit for us. We were 2 families with kids. The villa is very spacious update and clean, very well equipped with everything you will need a Tuesday, including for kitchen and dining, private and gorgeous grounds and pool around the Villa. close by town with full supermarket and great restaurants. If you are staying in the area, highly recommend L’Ocio Giulivo for dinner one of the best restaurants we had in Italy. The Villa looks much better in person than in the pictures.

The Perfect VRBO

The property was pinpointed perfectly on GPS. The owner was in touch to meet us there, a breathtaking home with gorgeous views, and had even prepared a delicious charcuterie treat. The rooms are all well appointed with 3 bathrooms, a wonderful place to eat outside, and a refreshing pool. My son celebrated his birthday during our stay, and our hosts took the time to prepare a traditional Italian tart and Spumante to celebrate. We could not have asked for kinder hosts or a nicer home for our family vacation. Would highly recommend!

Gorgeous spot in the Tuscan countryside

Maria’s stunning house which was near Siena was a privilege to stay at. We were two families with teens and there was loads of space inside and out for everyone. We loved the grounds and pool area, gorgeous views across the countryside and proximity to Siena and the little town of San Rocco A Pilli which is a five min drive away. You’ll find great little pizza places there at very reasonable prices plus butcher, bakery, chemist and large Coop where we did all our shopping. The house, a classic 19th century Tuscan villa, is shared with Maria and she was terrific at hosting - giving us loads of great tips, helping us find a tennis court and recommending some great restaurants. The kitchen is very basic but the billiard table, huge lounge and outside space made up for it. Thankyou for a lovely stay!

Tuscan treasure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Poggio a Sole,l, the view, pool, the space, the proximity to Siena and the hospitality from Maria Luisa and Guglielmo. Guglielmo arranged a farm experience where he taught us how to make pasta, bread and Italian desserts made with the organic gains grown on the farm. Being an Agri Chef he then made a wonderful Tuscan four course meal with locally sourced produce from the farmers market. It was a fantastic experience and where we made memories not just food. The village of San Rocco a Pilli was close by for shopping and we walked in a couple of times for dinner. Being close to the autostrada we easily explored other areas all within an hour away such as Montalcino, San Gimigano and Lake Trasimeno.. Tutte Bene!!

La maison a été conforme à ce que nous espérions Le gros gros plus fut l’accueil réservé par notre hôte Très à l’écoute nous avons été attendus avec meme la tv qui annonçait la catastrophe de notre dame de Paris . Le petit déjeuner pour le l’ensemble était prévu, le logement chauffé pour notre arrivée tardive et même le restaurant avait été prévenu de notre arrivée... trop frais pour profiter de l´extérieur nous avons malgré tout apprécié cette belle bâtisse Merci à nos charmantes hôtesses

Siamo stati ospiti in questa fantastica casa per 4 giorni nel periodo di capodanno. È stato tutto perfetto, a partire dell'accoglienza della signora, la cui presenza non è stata mai invadente, anzi, molto gradita. Inutile parlare della grandezza della casa, del biliardo a disposizione,del panorama bellissimo e del giardino... Ottima la posizione per chi come noi vuole staccarsi dal caos cittadino per qualche giorno ma vuole anche apprezzare centri abitati bellissimi come Siena e dintorni. Peccato non aver potuto utilizzare la piscina causa stagione invernale. Da ritornarci sicuramente😍

Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Haus nahe Siena. Das Haus ist sehr gross und verfügt über einen "Gemeinschaftspool" sowie einen sehr grossen Garten. Die Vermieter stehen jederzeit zur Verfügung und sind sehr gastfreundlich. Wir habe ein super Männerweekend verbracht und können das Haus bestens Empfehlen. Grazie per tutto singora Maria Luisa!!

Favoloso soggiorno in questo splendido casale nelle colline senesi!!! La casa molto bella e spaziosa con arredamenti in legno molto accoglienti. Abbiamo passato 4 giorni con i bambini in casa con ogni comfort a disposizone...addirittura biliardo fine 800! La famiglia che lo gestisce ci ha accolto calorosamente è soddisfatto su ogni nostra richiesta...che dire da ritornarci sicuramente. Consigliatissimo!!! Grazie Federica

Abbiamo trascorso 4 giorni splendidi nella struttura "borgo al sole". Subito siamo stati accolti calorosamente dai proprietari, persone splendide, sempre a disposizione per qualsiasi richiesta o consiglio su luoghi da visitare nelle vicinanze, ma al tempo stesso presenza discreta bensì residenti all'interno del complesso! La casa rispetta completamente quanto riportato nella descrizione e raffigurata nelle foto! Ampia, confortevole con tutto il necessario per sentirsi a casa propria, tutto fornito nel servizio, biancheria compresa. Gli spazi all'aperto sono curatissimi, e i bambini possono giocare senza alcun pericolo! Un plauso particolare va alla splendida piscina ad uso esclusivo, ampia, fornita di sdraio e teli mare, meticolosamente e sapientemente pulita quotidianamente, il tutto con vista aperta sulle campagne circostanti, da dove si godono meravigliosi tramonti! Da non dimenticare la bellezza dei paesaggi che circondano la struttura, paesaggi nei quali ci si immerge nella natura e dove è facile incontrare numerosi e simpaticissimi animali, come per esempio i caprioli che di buon mattino arrivano sino nel giardino di casa, o intere famigliole di rondini che fanno compagnia mentre si pranza o cena in giardino! Insomma, struttura consigliatissima, sia per la bellezza del posto che per quanto lo stesso offre in termini di comfort, senza dimenticare la professionalità e cordialità di chi lo gestisce, persone alle quali rinnovo i miei rigraziamenti per il tempo a noi dedicato! Spero di poter presto tornare a trovarvi!

Un weekend perfetto!

Mi sono recata in questa struttura con 7 amiche e abbiamo passato davvero un weekend speciale! Una disponibilità e una cortesia davvero uniche da parte dei proprietari che ci hanno anche consigliato ristoranti e cantine in zone. La villa è un paradiso, ben attrezzata e divisa tra zona giorno e notte al piano di sopra con camere e bagni confortevoli. Un bellissimo giardino e una piscina per rilassarsi durante il giorno! Assolutamente consigliata! Grazie ancora a Federica e alla sua famiglia per l'immensa gentilezza.

"la maison est tres bien situé ,facile d'' accés et a 20 mn de sienne . la maison est bien équiper et trés calme vs etes au milieu de la campagne avec aucun bruits trés reposant avec une belle vue de sienne. les produits locals sont excellent,et les propriétaires sont toujours la pour rendre votre séjours plus agréables."
