Luxury 3BR/3BA Ski On/Off Lodges Bear Mountain Near Sunrise Chair Killington.

Large spacious luxurious comfortable ski-in, ski-out condominium, located on Bear Mountain. Walking distance to Sunrise triple chair lift. A high see quality constructed property that includes three (3) bedrooms with three (3) bathrooms (adjoining to the bedrooms). This is one of the most prestigious developments on the mountain.

Wake up and first enjoy the view from the great room, dining area and kitchen. The major advantage to the property is the short walk to the Sunrise Lift. You can avoid the crowds by just putting on your skis and then navigate down the mountain! Ski and stop back for lunch, since you are already on the mountain, you can ski right up to the unit (weather permitting)! You can use the Sunrise chair with out a lift ticket (you would be restricted to a few of the adjoining runs 'Sundog, Bearview and Rendezvous'). The sunrise triple chair is open subject to the weather and snow conditions.

Kitchen is well equipped with granite counter top and granite island. All amenities are included (pans, coffee maker, silverware, dishes).

The Living room has a 55 inch Smart flat screen TV with cable. The open floor plan gives you views of the mountain from the kitchen and the great room.

After skiing, enjoy the private health club (also in walking distance) which features an indoor pool (outside pool in summer), work out gym, hot tub, steam room, dry sauna and restaurant (seasonal).

The unit features a full size fully equipped kitchen, Jacuzzi bath tub, spacious family room (with mountain views), and washer, dryer. The master bedroom sleeps 2 on a king size bed (which can be separated into 2 twins). The second bedroom has two twin beds that sleeps 2. The third bedroom has two (2) sets of bunk beds (four twin size beds) so that room sleeps four (4). The living room has a sofa bed which is a pull out and opens into a queen size mattress. Please note that there is an 8 guest limit. Each bedroom has its' own flat screen television. Each bedroom has its' own adjoining bathroom.

One of the best locations on the mountain. A true skier paradise! The Sunrise Chair is open subject to weather conditions.

In the Fall, enjoy coming up to see the colors change beginning late September. The foliage is spectacular. In the summer, enjoy the local area Golf Courses, Mountain Biking, Outdoor Pool, Antiquing and more!

Great Location and Accommodating Host

Due to a winter storm we had to adjust the start and end date of our stay. Our host was very accommodating. The location is great. We were able to walk to the ski lift and ski home - this was FANTASTIC. The boot, coat and ski room help keep the rest of the place neat and clean. I hope to come back next year.

Excellent condo just off sunrise chair. Only thing to beware of is that chair does not run if weather is just a little bit iffy. But super convenient when it is, two minutes from the door. Most importantly for me, is knowing that the owner is accessible and Elliot was super responsive when we had a couple basic questions. Would stay again in a heartbeat

Great place to stay and close to the lift!

6 guys in my group for our annual ski trip. This house was great and fit all of us comfortably. However, our only complaint was that since it was -22 to 5 degrees it would have been nice to have a fireplace to warm us up. When we turned it on, the flame would only reach about 3/4-1". Other than that it was great!

The condo is in an excellent location for skiing and it is very bright and spacious. The owner promptly responded to phone calls and text messages. There were a few things that could be improved upon. The fireplace and one TV were missing remotes and were nonfunctional. The DVD AV jacks could not connect to the TV and was also nonfunctional. Housecleaning services were mediocre.

Very comfortable apt for party of 5; could use a new dishwasher

Family of four (2 parents and 2 teens) with "auntie" friend. The apartment was very comfortable for us all to cook & eat together, hang out in the spacious living room for reading or movie night. The out door patio was buried in 2 ft of snow (Feb); I can imagine beautiful evening views of the mountains in the summertime. Each of the 3 bedrooms had its own full bath, which was a big plus. The entryway was big enough for us all to pull on our ski boots and prepare to head out onto the slopes. To get to the Sunrise triple lift, we walked through the parking lot, past two other buildings. The things we recommend to the unit owner...the microwave and dishwasher are 20 years old now (date/serial no. from 2005), and should be replaced. The mugs and glasses in the top rack didn’t get fully cleaned, so we had to always double check and hand wash several pieces with each run. The microwave vent ran noisily, and the light underneath - to illuminate the stovetop - was not working. Fridge is new, stove works fine. Rating would be 5-star if these kitchen appliances were fully operational.

Fine fit and finish on all things in the unit. Clean, comfortable, roomy. No rental condo "meh" or "dinge" or "funk", which was a surprise. There's typically always a thin layer of ick in these type of units (we certainly expected it), so it was refreshing that all was pretty perfect in that regard. New listing pictures with better lighting would help. Directions were a bit squirrelly, as the printed building number doesn't match Google or Apple Maps, so getting groceries delivered was tricky. What defines "Ski In/Ski Out" is a little puzzling, we had to walk 150 yards to the lift in the morning, though you can ski through the trees into the building parking lot to get back. Ski In...more or less, Ski Out, no way. We were up midweek, so the pool and restaurant were closed most of the time, but we knew this and made do.

We chose this property for a variety of reasons that were not accurately conveyed in the listing. Some are not controllable while others are totally in control of the owner or property manager. Kitchen Cleanliness. The unit was not "clean." It was neat, but the microwave was splattered with the last person's food spray. The filters on the microwave probably have never been cleaned. The dishwasher doesn't clean the items you place in it—items come out with food and a film from the detergent. The stove was not clean either. I doubt the owner has been in the unit in a while and the cleaning service must be rushing through to "neaten" things up, but we had to scrub. With a rating in the 9s, this was very misleading.The unit is in need of general repairs and a refresh. The fireplace (one of the reasons we chose this unit) didn't work. There was a note stating it's going to be serviced, but we had very cold nights and looking forward to a fire and totally disappointed.The fact the unit is listed as ski-on/ski-off - is misleading - they should explicitly state when the ability to ski-on/off is available. We chose this unit so we could ski back for lunch and not use our truck. The trails to ski back to were closed and unable to get to the mountain without using our truck. This limited our time and impacted our schedule greatly.The sheets need to be replaced. They are worn out. This is true of most of the unit's items except the towels.Throw out the old cookware - buy new!

It met our expectations, but...

I was responsible for coordinating a ski trip (8 total skiers). We booked this unit primarily because it was in walking distance of a ski lift (ski in / ski out). We also liked the fact the unit included indoor/outdoor hot tub and heated indoor pool. We found the gym, pool and hot tubs to be refreshing. The place worked out well for 8 folks and it was as described in the listing. No complaints regarding the unit or its upkeep. The time we did spend in the unit, we were comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. Just a few things to note: - you may want to bring extra bath towels if you have more than 6 people. Between the pool facilities and showering, there was a shortage of towels. - we went in Feb, and there was very little snow on the slopes. If Bear Mountain is closed, you must drive 15 mins. to another mtn./lift. - if you are interested in night life, you are isolated to the point where it was extremely difficult for us to get taxi services to and from the unit Lastly, I could not recommend this rental to anyone due to my experience after our stay, hence the 2 star rating. I own rental units. I've also used VRBO in the past and will continue to do so. I value good customer service and make it priority #1 for my own tenants. Two weeks after we checked out, I inquired about the status of my security deposit. After multiple my emails were ignored, at week 3, I contact Elliot via his cell phone. He was very short with me. I felt as though I was bothering him. I learned he still didn't send the cleaners (which we paid for) to check out the place and acknowledge everything was in good order. He has been busy with work he said. At week four I contacted his cell again. I heard again, in a snarky tone, how busy he was. He did finally emailed the cleaning service after week 4. It took more than 4 weeks and several attempts to collect my deposit. I find this to be 100% unacceptable and will be looking elsewhere next year when we return to Killington. This isn’t the way I like to do business with people. It was highly disappointing to have to deal with this on the backend.

Great Killington Condo

This property is as advertised. A great spot to stay in a relatively new luxury condo that is a short walk to the Sunrise lift and the clubhouse with pool, gym and hot tub. The owner kept an open line of communication even with some difficulties involving the vrbo listing. He was always responsive. Overall it was great, just as great as the listing suggests.

Why they chose this property

We are a skiing family, and Killington is known as the best mountain in the east. The location is excellent and once the snow falls you don't have to do anything but put on your skis and head down the mountain. The mountain is open for skiing through May most years.

What makes this property unique

You can walk (ski) over to the Sunrise chair and access the mountain from there. There is a trail you can use to ski directly to the front of the condo (weather permitting). This condo is spacious and comfortable.
