CASA da MANGA Madeira is located in the south of the island, at elevation 100, 500 meters away from the sea. The atmosphere is great. Very quiet location, with sea and mountain views.
The house, designed for holidays, has a swimming pool, outdoor leisure area, barbecue and spacious lawns. Inserted in a small property of certified biological subtropical fruit production, with fig trees, mango trees (mango fruit) and banana trees in production. Fertile land where you can practice agriculture. You can pick seasonal fruits (figs, mangos and bananas) for your dessert from the trees marked for this purpose.

Fantastic house!

Four of us shared this house for a week. It's ideally situated on the sunny side of the island. The three bedrooms were perfect for our needs. Despite the inclement weather we managed a few dips in the pool as well which was a great luxury. Wi-Fi worked well. We loved having the outdoor space to sit and eat / play games and everything was just right. Manuel was very helpful and we knew we could contact him if there were any issues. The washing machine was handy for washing the mud off out clothes after running in the mountains. All in all we are sad to be leaving and would wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Excellent vacation

Rita was the perfect host. She went above and beyond what one would expect from the host. She picked us up from the airport late evening because our car rental shuttle did not show up and arranged for us to get a rental car from another company. We were greeted with a beautiful welcome basket and all the necessary supplies for a full breakfast the next morning. She recommended places for us to see. The grounds around the house are beautiful with fruit trees and we were able to get fresh eggs from the chickens on the property. Thank you so much Rita for making our stay at your place truly wonderful. Clive and Kirti June 17th - June 24th.

Paradise

Madeira was warm and sunny in February- exactly what we were seeking. Manuel’s house is just wonderful. We used the heated pool several times and just generally enjoyed being outdoors on this beautiful island. We chose not to hire a car because we wanted a different kind of holiday- we walked a lot uphill and downhill! It’s possible to walk down to the town - maybe less than 30 mins. If we had shopping we got a taxi home for €10. Manuel is a lovely man and very thoughtful - he gave us a little welcome package of papaya from the garden, Madeira wine, local bread and more! We would definitely return and we highly recommend Casa da manga! Thank you Manuel

Wonderful stay!

Ordering process and communication with Rita was very smooth. We received a welcome basket with bread, cheese, eggs, wine and delicious mangoes, which was such a nice gesture! The neighbourhood is great: very quiet, beautiful views of the hills and banana gardens, close to Ribeira Brava. Easy to reach any place on the island. The house is spacious, there is bathroom on each floor, kitchen is equipped with necessary items (oil, salt, spices, pasta, etc). The area around the house is big - there is a mango garden with roosters and hens, swimming pool and barbeque area. We enjoyed our breakfasts and evenings on the terrace! The roosters start singing before sunrise, please keep this in mind if that might bother you. For us it was fine. We found good books about the hikes in the living room. Overall we had a great stay and would return again. Highly recommended! Vilija

Well presented property which was spotlessly clean on arrival. Great communication from the owner who was easy to contact. The villa was as described with everything we needed, plus a few unexpected extras, which were much appreciated. The outside area was lovely and the villa was a great base for exploring the island. The washing machine was very useful following our hot and dusty levada walks, and a great villa to come back to for a dip in the pool and to relax at.

Un super endroit

La location est vraiment très belle et fonctionnelle. Facile à trouver sur G Maps grâce aux indications de Manuel le propriétaire qui est très réactif, accueillant et sympathique. Bien équipée, piscine impeccable et bonne situation pour visiter l'île.

Madeira wie es sein sollte

Wir können uns den bisherigen Bewertungen nur anschließen. Das Haus hat alle Erwartungen erfüllt. Die Lage des Hauses, der Blick aufs Meer und die günstige Lage für viele Ausflüge waren nur einige der positiven Aspekte. Unsere Jungs waren begeistert von den beiden Hühnern, die uns täglich zwei frische Eier bescherten. Auch der beheizte Pool wurde reichtlich genutzt. Und die von Manuel geernteten Bananen schmeckten wahnsinnig lecker. Vielen Dank an den herzlichen Gastgeber.

Fabulous property

This is a fabulous property, with well maintained grounds, a lovely pool and summer kitchen. If anything, the photos don't do it justice! Casa Manga was extremely clean snd Manuel left us a much appreciated welcome pack with some nice Madeiran touches. The fresh eggs (most days) from the chickens and the seasonal fresh fruit from the orchard area were a welcome bonus. The only real downside to this property is that a car is a must if you want to explore the area or visit a bar or restaurant in the evening. Walking to the property is quite challenging as the road to is steep and windy in places.A word of warning …make sure you have a phone with working google maps before you set out to find the property. Our hire car had a satnav that was not updated so the address and postcode did not register on the satnav. It took us several hours to find the place - we got there eventually but some detailed written directions from the host would have been helpful! Once found, Casa Manga was a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the wonderful winter sunshine!

Wunderbares, ruhiges Haus

Wunderbares, ruhig gelegenes Haus. Alles war sehr sauber und gut gepflegt, wir haben nichts auszusetzen und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Kommunikation mit Manuel war unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Die Moskitos haben uns ein bisschen genervt, aber dafür kann das Haus nichts. Ein besonderes Highlight waren aber die Früchte, vielen Dank noch einmal dafür!

Pure Erholung

Ein tolles Haus, ein toller Gastgeber, extrem ruhige Lage. Schöne Aussicht. Es ist schwer, all die guten Eindrück zu beschreiben. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass man mit dem Flugzeug da hin muss. Jederzeit wieder!

Ein Paradies auf einer paradiesischer Insel …

Die 2 Wochen in dem wunderschönen Haus Casa da Manga waren einfach nur traumhaft. Hervorragende Ausstattung, schönste Umgebung, herrlicher Salzwasser- Pool und eine sehr persönliche und herzliche Betreuung durch den Vermieter Manuel haben uns den Urlaub unvergesslich gemacht.

What a find. Our own little Oasis in the Madeira countryside. We stayed 3 nights after some time in Funchal, and on Porto Santo, but this stood out as our highlight. The heated pool was a perfect size for our young family, and we had exclusive use. The property had everything we could wish for and will be our first port of call if we holiday in Madeira again. Manuel is an attentive host, and is expert at balancing privacy and assistance. Thank you for a wonderful stay, for all the delicious fresh food, and fit the great restaurant recommendation! Everything is in easy reach, and directions provided made the property easy to find.

Ein wunderschönes Haus eingebettet in eine Plantage

Wir haben wunderschöne Tage auf Madeira verbracht. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen, eingebettet in die (Bio-) Plantage von Manuel. Von hier aus haben wir vormittags Ausflüge gemacht, um die Insel zu entdecken und zu erkunden. Nachmittags haben wir uns am Pool und in der grünen Oase von Casa da Manga erholt und entspannt. Manuel hat uns nicht nur mit unglaublich leckeren (!!!) Früchten aus seinem Garten versorgt, sondern auch tolle Tipps für Madeira gegeben. Angenehm empfanden wir, dass das Auto auf dem Grundstück stand; das erleichtert das Be-/Entladen. Das Haus selber ist groß & geräumig, besitzt eine schöne Küche und mit Familie sind auch die zwei Bäder sehr angenehm. Der Pool lädt zum Abkühlen ein und die Terrasse und die Bäume bieten einen angenehmen Schatten in der mit unter heißen Sonne von Madeira. Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder und können dieses grüne Juwel in den Hängen von Madeira bestens weiter empfehlen.

Nous sommes arrivés dans une maison très agréable au calme Tout était parfait . Nous étions très proches de la ville sans le bruit avec des commerces ouverts jusqu a 23 h si besoin et de très bons restaurants pour un nouveau séjour à Madère sans hésitation nous reviendrons dans cette superbe maison qui a tout pour qu on s y sente bien Merci Manuel pour votre accueil et votre gentillesse

Merci à Manuel pour l'accueil chaleureux en français !, les ingrédients nécessaires au premier petit déjeuner, les conseils de levadas et les fruits de la passion. La location est au calme (seul le chant du coq peut réveiller ceux qui dorment fenêtres ouvertes), la piscine est top, la terrasse couverte nous a permis de manger tout le temps dehors. La literie est confortable, chacun utilisait sa salle de bain, la maison est spacieuse, fraiche, propre et lumineuse. Nous recommandons ++
