About this property
Romantic Getaway in Loreto Bay, the Cabo alternative
Our beautiful Loreto Bay casa is perfect vacation rental for honeymooners or couples who want to get away from it all. Unlike the touristy areas around Cabo, Loreto offers a glimpse of the real Mexico.
Why rent our home? This is a two-story, two-bedroom townhome. The unique floor-plan means lots of open spaces. The primary bedroom is spacious and the main living area filled with light. Adjoining this space is a large, private patio with a fountain, chaise lounges and a bistro set. Perfect for breakfast in your robe.
Rather than a viewing tower that many homes have, our casa has a large terrace on this top-floor level which offers greater privacy and exceptional views toward the mountains, the pool area and the paseo. This level also features a gas barbecue and dining space, plus lounge chairs for relaxing. (The second bedroom on this floor is the homeowners' private space and is not available for rent.)
The primary bedroom with its king-sized bed is extra large with a roomy closet. Linens and robes are provided. The primary bath with double sinks, sunken tub and shower are finished in Travertine.
The kitchen is fully furnished with all major appliances and lots of extras. The owners like to cook, so the knives are sharp and you'll find virtually any handy tool you're looking for, including in the barbecue area.
Located in the Founder's neighborhood, Casa 465 is in the heart of the action, adjacent to the community pool and a short walk to the beach. Downstairs is the Nopolo Wine Cellar, the place to meet the Loreto Bay locals and other visitors. A few doors down you can have a French breakfast at Le Bistro.
Renters have access to recommendations about local resources and comprehensive FAQs are provided prior to arrival.
If your previous experience visiting Mexico is going to a resort area, Loreto Bay offers some of the same amenities, but without the hustle and bustle and party atmosphere. Instead you'll find a community of neighbors and visitors, a place to relax, kick back and enjoy the laid-back vibe of the Baja. And Casa 465, with it's handy location and lovely setting is the perfect spot to take it all in.

The Casa was very comfortable and relaxing for us. We enjoyed the location. The pool, beach, restaurants, everything was close by. We particularly enjoyed the views from the upstairs terrace. For us, a bit of a drawback was the full flight of stairs to get to the main level. A one bedroom was perfect for us.

Very nice property
Great location to the beach, nice interior. Only issue is the restaurant noise at night, which is a problem unless you have some background noise like television. Internet access is from the restaurant and very poor.

Donna, I'm glad you liked the convenience of our casa. You're right, there can be a buzz from the wine bar when it's open; I compare it to white noise. And Internet speeds are a problem throughout Loreto Bay because there isn't a lot of bandwidth. I'm exploring upgrade options and expect to have improvements if you decide to revisit next year.
We loved our stay. Only caveat is downstairs wine bar during the US football playoff games gets noisy which is mid-January, but maybe we don’t want anyone else but us to be staying there since our Jan vacation was so great!!!!
The kitchen was very well stocked with all the essential equipment for

Nice accomodation
We had a great time at Anita's house. All you need for a comfy stay and more.
It was not a big issue for us, but the Wine Bar downstairs gets quiet only after 11 pm (closing time is 10 pm, however it might take a bit longer on certain nights).
So we had to joint the "late party" for a few evenings,...they even offer us a free drink !
Again no big issue unless you really need to go to bed early.
A real "plus" is the $155 US for one week membership at the nearby Golf Course, we've definitely took advantage of the unlimited golfing !
We'll be back.

Peter & Edith,
Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Casa 465 and got in some good golfing while you were there. Staying over the New Year's holiday can be a busy time at Loreto Bay and people are in a party mood. Joining in on the festivities is part of the fun. Would love to have you back anytime.

Beautiful house, great location & amazing views!
My husband and I went for our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet Loreto was (tourist-wise), compared to our experience with other Baja towns. The house is located in the perfect location. In Loreto Bay, you’re steps to what we called the “Paradise Pool” and a wine bar downstairs (they close at 10pm sharp, so the noise never bothered us). You’re also less than a 5 minute walk to the local cafe, market, hotel, golf course and best of all…the beach! Then just a 15min drive away is the town of Loreto which has great food options (try El Rey del Taco and El Zopilote Brewing Co), water activities and sight seeing options.
The house was perfect! The kitchen was fully stocked, the king size bed was amazing and the bathtub inviting (but it was too hot to think about bathing when we were there!). The TV only has a couple options but the community center has DVDs on loan. The WIFI was great inside the house which was helpful when we needed to check email for work.
Our favorite part of the house is the upstairs terrace. There is a BBQ, large table and lounge chairs to catch amazing views of the mountains, palm trees, birds and night stars. We spent the majority of our time up there listening to the birds and reading books.
The hosts were great and were quick to reply. We’re already planning our trip back and would highly recommend this rental.

Short walk to the beach, shorter walk to the pool!
The casa is well-appointed and spacious- a short walk to beach and pool. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans and storage containers, etc. On the roof-top terrace there is a great bbq, dining table, and killer views. We enjoyed our time in Loreto Bay, but the area is very quiet, perhaps a bit too quiet for our tastes.

Derek, your comments hit on all the things we love about our casa and the community. The location is so convenient and the large terrace, which is on the same level as the viewing towers in many homes, is an added bonus. Yes, Loreto Bay is pretty laid back compared to the big resort areas, perfect for just relaxing.

We stayed in this apartment last March and found the accommodation and location perfect for our needs, so much so, we are returning in 2017. It was so convenient for the swimming pool , beach and the wine bar was an added bonus. We loved the roof terrace for barbecues with the beautiful views.

Jean, so glad you and your husband enjoyed your stay. You're right, our spacious upper terrace, which is on the same level as the viewing towers in other casas, is the perfect spot for stargazing, barbecuing, or just relaxing. Delighted you'll be back again in 2017.

Very pleasant experience
This property is beautiful and all the furniture and equipment are great. The location is perfect, it is very close to Loreto town which is very convenient for grocery shopping and fine dining. We also enjoyed the Wine bar downstairs for a night cap, the staff is wonderful and the wines are great. The Beach is very close and very clean and the water was perfect. We definitely recommend this property for a relaxing vacation.

Very Nice
Very comfortable, well furnished, second floor condo located above the wine bar in the condo community. We were greeted by a security officer as we drove into the condo complex and he was very helpful taking us to the security office to obtain our condo keys; he even assisted us unpacking our car and getting the luggage upstairs. The condo is well furnished with everything you need to just move in and start relaxing. Parking was curbside right outside the condo and didn't ever seem to be a problem. This condo unit is very close to the pool and we liked that; it was easy to walk to the unit to get something to eat or drink during the day. It is also an easy walk over to the hotel and onto the beach which has palapas and chairs in which to sit. The hotel also has a pool/beach bar. It is very peaceful sitting there and reading your book and watching the birds, seals and other wildlife. We didn't really have any issues with the condo, it was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The toilet did clog up the first time we used it but security was able to bring us a plunger and the problem was resolved easily. The cable TV furnished the four major US networks to us so that we could watch our favorite evening programs. The cable box needed to be rebooted frequently after you turned the TV off, but that was very easy to do; you just unplug the power source out of the back of the cable box and then plug it back in again. We had one morning when we went out to the pool, put our towels out, sat and drank our coffee, read the USA Today news off of my Kindle and then went up to the condo for breakfast. We were gone for about 30 minutes and when we came back to our chairs, security had taken the towels off of the chairs and placed them on a nearby table. When we went back to the chairs, security told us there was a rule about not "saving chairs." We told him that we had only gone to the condo for breakfast and were only gone about 30 minutes; he apologized for the misunderstanding. I have no idea what that was all about but I think some nearby owner saw the towels out and called the security office?! The only other inconvenience was the noise from the wine bar which is located directly under the bedroom of the condo. There were several nights the noise didn't stop until after 11PM; mostly it was manageable. In the end, we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to friends!

Thanks for sharing your impressions of your stay in Loreto Bay and our home, Casa 465. I'm glad you found the location and amenities in our casa to your liking.
The TV issue is one of my nemeses and I've had a phalanx of local experts look into it to no avail. Just one of the "wonders" of technology, I guess. Glad it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.
Yes, the patrons at the Nopolo Wine Cellar can get a bit boisterous at times, and sound does travel in the evening, but overall they are good neighbors and many renters appreciate having a "gathering place" so close by.
You certainly identified one the secrets to the smooth operation of our community, our superb security team. They go above on beyond in assisting guests and troubleshooting issues as they come up.
Thanks again for your feedback and appreciate any recommendations to friends.
