It’s clear there is a lot of love in this space. We enjoyed checking out all the collectables and the bookshelves. The outside seating area was a nice space for coffee and we enjoyed our dinner out there as well. The hosts were very kind to turn on lights for us as we were arriving late. There is a large parking spot but be prepared to practice your skills as you back down the driveway as you leave. Small price to pay for the privacy!

11/10. Killer location up on the hill/mountain in Waimea, views of Mauna Kea from the door. Quiet, cozy spot. Great for couples. Right off of downtown Waimea, minutes from Merriman's and FORC.

Such a cute little place! Was perfect for my fiancé and I to stay the weekend. Steep driveway but was expected from the listing. Very peaceful surrounded by trees and the sound of birds. Kitchen had everything we needed. Very close to good coffee, farmers markets, restaurants and thrifting.

The studio guest cottage was very cozy and well appointed. Waimea has a perfect climate with no need for heating or a/c. I would definitely stay here again.

A very unique place in the hills of Kamuela. Property sits high and has wonderful views through the large wall of windows and from the lanai. I felt very at home here and enjoyed a full functioning kitchen. Driveway is narrow, steep and kind of long so best to heed the advise of the property owner regarding car selection if you are renting one for your visit. I would definitely return!

Waimea was the perfect 'jumping off spot" for our big island visit, and the Captain's Quarters Cottage was the perfect spot in Waimea. Clean, spacious, well-equipped, and with beautiful views and cooling breezes this is where we'd come back in a heartbeat.
