Be sure to notify caretaker long before arrival should your group require twins.

A recently remodeled country kitchen with granite counters and custom crafted knotty alder solid wood cabinets, Wolf commercial oven/range delight both the novice cook and the gourmet chef.

Radiant heated floors add to the quiet comfort and ambiance of this spacious, light and bright home. 4 bedroom and 4 bathroom sleeping 10 guests (or 12 to 14 guests with special arrangements including the cabin / casita / studio guest house).

Needs some updates and refreshing, but overall a good rental. Kitchen is great - except for the fridge which has no ice maker and broken ice maker drawer - had to buy ice for the whole stay. Swamp cooler works well, but one bedroom has no way to vent to outside during our stay - which is necessary for a swamp cooler to be effective in that room. Gas grill needs a upgrade. Hot tub was great! Beds were very comfortable. Patio very comfortable. Overall a great house potential that is very good but needs some attention from the owner to bring it up to great.

Amazing Experience!

This property was stunning with a great view of the mountains and a lot of lush trees that blocked the view of other houses and the beautiful acacia running right through the back yard. The overall impression given by the property was an isolated mountainside house. The inside was beautifully decorated and comfortable and the neighbors were incredibly kind and talkative. Any problems were quickly and effectively addressed by the property manager which made our stay even more pleasant.

It’s located on the way up to Taos ski resort but also very close to restaurants. The kitchen is fully stocked and so much room to cook whatever you want. The rooms are very large and the master bathroom is pretty spectacular. The place is perfect for a large group, mountain getaway!

The house has pretty much everything we needed and gorgeous views. One bedroom was even off on the opposite side of the house which was nice for separation for our extended family. One of the bedrooms was extremely hot throughout the entire stay. We were told that this room just stays hot and that there wasn’t much we could do. The guests in that room ended up having to sleep in the living room to get relief and rest. The hot tub also doesn’t get incredibly hot which could have been nice after a day of skiing. Otherwise, the house was nice and comfortable.

Beautiful property in need of a few updates

The house is really lovely. The amount of space for our family of 9 was exactly what we needed. Everyone had their own bedroom with a kitchen, dining and living space that met all of our needs. On the not so great side; the house was not as clean as I had hoped. So much dog and cat hair were missed. We have major cat allergies so asthma was an issue during our stay. The gourmet kitchen needed an upgrade to their dishwasher which would not rinse soap from the dishes. The pots were great but the pans needed replacing. The hot tub cover needed fixing but the tub itself was great, especially in the winter weather. The house has a new caretaker and I was assured it would be getting a deep cleaning and all of repairs would be fixed. The property is beautiful, in a qreat location. I would rent again as long as I knew the deep clean was done.

Taos in July

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Casa Bella is a lovely home and the outdoor patio and stream were very surreal. We really enjoyed the outdoor space. The mattresses in all rooms were very comfortable as well. Unfortunately, the home was not as clean as we would have expected it to be, and the upkeep was very disappointing at best. My daughter took a shower in the master bedroom located by the washer and dryer. The floor of shower was slimy and slippery, and it had dead bugs. The shower was also plugged and would not drain. We called the caretaker who came with tools at 10:00 p.m. My husband offered to assist in taking the drain apart and successfully cleaned it out. The shower door was dirty with soap scum from top to bottom and the bathroom walls were very dirty. This master bedroom was full of bugs and had very small mosquito-like insects on the bed and pillows. The mattress was stained, and the carpet had big red spots all over it. The headboard had spiderwebs and there were dead spiders in the closet. The shower closest to the entry door in the other master bedroom did not have hot water. A couple of our guests had to take a cold shower. The mirrors were dirty and not all the showers worked and also were slow to drain. The door leading to the covered patio from the master bedroom has a shattered glass panel and we were very hesitant to use it. Also, the doorknob pulled off when we tried to open it (my husband was able to fix that as well). The skillets should be thrown away as they are extremely bad. Most of the pots and pans, dishes and silverware where dirty, so everything we used had to be washed by hand. The towels had a very bad smell, and there weren't enough towels especially for those who went swimming. The blind covering the large picture window facing the patio and stream was broken. It has a beautiful backyard with an irrigation stream, that when running, is amazing and spa-like. The property itself is interesting - many great things: huge kitchen, Wolff stove, big dining table, living room with huge windows, mountain views, very private and super clean. The master bedrooms are ok - old and dated bathrooms, but with character. Overall, the home has tons of character, fits a big family perfectly and is super private and quiet. And, probably 90% better than most homes in Taos, as it is an old, dated ski town. The management company is TERRIFIC and the home is impeccably clean! I would recommend this property next time you are in Taos!

First time in Taos, and specifically Arroyo Seco

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time in the Taos area. Let's start with the exterior of the property. It is private, peaceful and relaxing. The covered porch during rain is amazing! The creek in the back has a wonderful little waterfall. Lush and green. The hottub is an added bonus. Star gazers would love it here! We spent most of our time in the backyard. The interior needs to be updated. The shower heads need to be replaced, the dishwasher needs to be replaced, and it does need a full deep clean, meaning all carpets, rugs and couches. I would also recommend with someone who has fear of spiders- beware - There are lots of them. Home defense products work great for that. Kitchen is wonderful for home cooking! Expansive TV for those who love movies! (Which we watched a couple). The Beds are comfortable! I loved the layout of the home. Overall the caretaker is awesome, helpful and responsive! The management company is very professional. It is perfectly located! Everybody is very friendly. Short drive to pretty much anywhere.

Beautiful views, nice layout

Casa Bella is a lovely spot. Our family of 5, avid skiers, enjoyed our location right around the corner from charming Arroyo Seco, easy drive to Taos Ski Valley and easy drive to Taos. Our property manager was terrific and the house is comfortable and well laid out. Thank you!!

Excellent family retreat!

My parents (70s), brother and I (50s) stayed here for a week. The house was perfect for us and provided the right amount of space for being together and yet not being on top of each other. The back patio was PERFECT and we enjoyed meals out there, taking turns napping in the hammock, listening to the creek, and viewing the stars from the hot tub each night. A really peaceful and restful week. Thank you!

Peaceful stay in beautiful Seco

The photos don’t do this property justice. It is quiet, peaceful and a breath of fresh air. The stars at night couldn’t be beat. The property easy to find especially in Northern NM and equipped with many items especially the kitchen. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space for many. Kristi was very responsive and kind throughout the process As a former Taos resident, it felt like a bit of home. We hope to be back soon!!

Great Location, Property Needs Updating

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented another Casa Bella for a girls weekend in the summer of 2021. The location is amazing and we loved the backyard of this home - complete with hammock, hot tub, a stream and gorgeous mountain views. The home itself has a strange layout. There are four guest rooms and four bathrooms, but the master suite contains two bathrooms. The home was clean enough but light fixtures and sofa slipcovers were in need of washing. There are also things that needed maintenance - one shower head in the master did not work, there are loose deck planks, none of the light fixtures contained two light bulbs, the game table needed tightening, and the refrigerator hadn't been wiped out prior to our stay. There are also some areas of drywall damage and the home could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We also were not notified that the caretake lived on the property. This was not a big deal but we had parked next to the garage and were scared one evening in the hot tub by someone letting us know that they could not park in the garage. I'd recommend this location and the gorgeous backyard. With a few easy maintenance fixes, the home would be great.
