Dear Stacy, Thank you for taking the time to send us your review regarding your experience at Scrabble House. We are very sorry that you had such a disappointing stay at Scrabble House and truly regret that our office was not contacted during your visit. Our records show that George the Caretaker for Scrabble House (for at least 6 years now) was attending a Boy Scouts of America Wilderness Trip with his teenage son. His wife was left in charge during his absence and possibly in their preparation to travel neglected to leave the change of phone # to his wife. George would not have had cell service out in the wilderness. Given this, it may be the reason you did not hear back. We have no record of hearing from you that there were any problems. Had we been called to task, Taos Prime Pest Control would have been there within minutes. There is no excuse for soil of any kind on any bath mat as Housekeepers are instructed to launder every linen and towel whether it looks used or not. As for the pool, the photo is labeled as it being an "Endless Pool". Endless pools are miniature pools that have a swift pump creating a strong current that guests swim against as a means to work out, swim and stay fit. They are almost never large pools as they are used as a means of staying fit by swimming into the current. Your review will be forwarded to the Homeowner and the Caretaker and we sincerely thank you for the "heads up". We will be talking with George to see if any light can be shed to help us better understand your report and we will get back to you regarding the pool that was not working. We at Premiere Properties take pride in providing our guests with an excellent vacation experience. We are sorry that the Scrabble House was not up to this guest's expectations at this 4.5-star property. That being said, if is only fair that we respond to some of the comments in this review. The guest was not cooperative to allow the caretaker to go to the home and qualify some of her observations. *The entrance pad was fully functional and was checked remotely within an hour of their arrival. *The caretaker did a full walk through prior to the arrival inside and out and there was no garbage or cigarette butt visible. *On departure the caretaker checked, and all 3 bathrooms had shower curtains. *The home was just exterminated so there were probably still insects that were dying. *All sinks and shower drains were working during arrival inspection and the caretaker was not permitted to check this out. *The towel rack had been fixed but broke again and since has been repaired. *This property does supply wash cloths and scrubbing brushes in the kitchen in the effort to keep this property “Earth Friendly”. * All doorknobs are fully functional, and caretaker was not allowed to qualify this observation. *The garbage can in the casita sits directly to the left on the sink and was still there upon the guest’s departure. *All window cranks are being replaced and there are a few that are not functioning properly. *The caretaker was not allowed to qualify leaky refrigerators but were working fine upon the guest’s departure. *The damaged light shade had been stored in the closet and the guest removed it. *All light switches are fully functional. *Instructions on how to use the evaporative cooling system in the main house were not followed and the one in the casita is brand new and fully functional. *The home advertises Smart TVs not cable and the Wi-Fi connection is Fiber Optics allowing guests to use their own streaming accounts.
