We had an amazing holiday on this beautiful Island. Our host was more than helpful and helped us get the most out of our holiday. We would happily stay here again.
Great property and the host Ettore is very helpful. Many good recommendations and helps connect you with local services. We enjoye this oasis from the busier parts of Capri and Anacapri. Unforgiving walk down to the Blue Grotto - we would definitely return here!!
Our host was incredibly accommodating and generous to us. We loved our stay and would highly recommend the place. Great location as well!

An oasis and home away from home!! Such a beautiful property with every small touch to make the stay wonderful. The host went above and beyond to give tips and help us out - the pool was wonderful, beds comfortable, and one of the best places I have ever stayed!
A brilliant, stunning getaway. Ettore was the most incredible host and went above and beyond to make our stay the best! If you want a charming and authentic taste of Anacapri, this is your place!

Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend
The taxi does not get you close enough to the villa. If you have multiple lougages I would recommend staying closer in capri town. The villa is very outdated, definitely needs a remodel. The kitchen light was out and didn’t work.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations.
We would like to clarify a few points for you and for future guests:
Property Access: As specified in the description and in the instructions sent before arrival, our house is located in a quiet and picturesque area, a few minutes' walk from the bus stop and less than 1 minute from the smaller taxi stand (like the one that, without any difficulty, picked you up upon your departure). As is typical of Capri, access is pedestrian to preserve the island's authenticity. We are always happy to assist our guests upon arrival.
Villa Condition: As clearly shown in the pictures of our listing, our property is a traditional Caprese house, and its decor reflects this authentic character, which is highly appreciated by our guests for its unique and historical charm, not a modern structure.
Maintenance: We are always available to deal with any technical issues. We regret learning about the kitchen light issue only now, through this review. Had we been informed, we would have attended to it immediately, as demonstrated by our prompt assistance in the middle of the night (at 1 AM) when you caused the main circuit breaker to trip. We are available 24/7 for emergencies.
An important clarification: We believe the unusual rating and the nature of this review are unfortunately linked to an administrative matter resolved during your stay: the failure to comply with the original booking for three guests, as you showed up with six. The adjustment of the cost for the additional guests, as per house rules, was a necessary procedure.
Despite your observations, we hope you were able to appreciate the beauty and magic of Capri.
Etrorre met us and was great in communications and help throughout our stay, couldn't do enough to help. The location was fantastic, Ana-capri is delightful, plenty to do and see, restaurants, bars were great. You do need to be fit as it is extremely hilly, although there are plenty of transport option to combat this. The property itself though whilst very clean needs some TLC its quite small and dark inside, our freinds had to use the lounge as a wardrobe because the room was too small. The outside gardens could be amazing, however was overgrown with dead plants all around, floor could be swept etc the gate lock is broken so has to be secured by a padlock and chain. Non of this spoilt our holiday and we loved it but it is a shame.
This property was a magical getaway with everything you could possibly need. Ettore was the friendliest, most informative host- he took care of every question and every need we had. The path to the Blue Grotto was so intensely beautiful- this was an experience we will never forget!

Once in conversation with Ettore shortly before arrival, the stay was on a good track to be excellent. He gave guidance for the arrival with luggage to be only a short walk. Time was used upon arrival for us to become familiar with the functions of the residence, and this all worked out well. There was also help with points of interest information and guidance for transport that was invaluable. Thank you very much for fond memories during this stay.
First, Ettore has been incredibly helpful, the nicest owner we have ever dealt with. He was always accessible and would go over and beyond to provide suggestions and answers to any questions we would have. He was also very helpful in directing us to the house and then setting up a drive back to the ferry. The property itself is incredible. Beautiful yard with a pool, tables, benches, etc. Home is very clean and very cozy. The area is very quiet and peaceful, walking distance to Anacapri. Wonderful cliff side restaurant only 5 minutes walking distance away. The blue grotto is also nearby but prepare for an uphill walk back to the house. Overall we were extremely satisfied, would definitely come back.

The single story bungalow was small and comfortable. The walk to both Anacapri or down to the water was about 20-25 minutes. As mentioned in listing the roads are very narrow and a car is unable to get you all the way to the bungalow. From the ferry it will require two taxis and some walking to actually arrive. Communication was challenging. Zero until a couple of days before arrival to overload. The property manager requested additional fees for check-in and communication on WhatsApp while on island. We booked for 5 days and left after 3, moving to a boutique hotel in Anacapri. A guest information book with check in/out instructions with bus schedules, local maps and suggestions would be very helpful. The owner did provide lots of helpful information when he met us at the bungalow and text, however with so much information it would have been easier and much more helpful to have it printed in a bungalow information book. Most importantly, make sure all fees are included at time of booking so not to be surprised by additional cash fee requested at check in. Also bring your own pool/beach towels as none are provided.

Beautiful place to stay. The house is traditional, compact and very quiet. The area is a steep walk up or down to either the village or restaurants/the coast. You have to be fit and able for this! Otherwise you will spend a fortune on taxis!I would have wanted more information before we arrived so I could plan our stay more. Ettore was fabulous once we had arrived and sent loads of local info via WhatsApp, but that would have been useful to have beforehand. I asked for this but nothing came until a few days before our arrival. The location is residential and traditional. The kitchen is very small, so cooking for 5 was tricky but not impossible. The BBQ gas cylinder was empty. Supermarkets were shut when we arrived and Ettore didn’t know this. Restaurants in Anacapri vary in price. We gauged them on the price of a Peroni and Margarita pizza. For getting around, the bus stop is a short walk from the villa but the buses get full very quickly. Taxis costs are set. To the port is 50 so this can soon add up. We went to a beach club one day which was nice. The bar at the Blue Lagoon has deck chairs/loungers and ladders to the sea. Snacks here were good value. There is lots to do if you look for it. The culture/history of the island is interesting and this is the information that Ettore shared once we had arrived. The pool is small but secluded with a lovely day bed. Watch out for mosquitoes!! Ettore did supply an effective spray, but a body spray is recommended.
My family had the pleasure of staying at this lovely vacation home during our visit to Anacapri. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and assisted us throughout our stay. We enjoyed the pool and the other outdoor areas on the property. The property has excellent air conditioning and comfortable beds. The kitchen is functional with a good quality gas stove.
There is a nearby bus stop to take you into town where you can switch to another bus to take you to Capri or other beaches and locations. Cabs are also available in Anacapri, though they are a bit expensive.
There is an excellent restaurant Giorgio's a brisk downhill walk from the villa, with shuttle rides available back up the hill. The more physically adventurous family members walked down to the gorgeous Grotta Azzurra to swim, but there is also a bus available to and from that location.
The location of the villa is not for anyone with mobility issues. Anacapri consists of extremely steep, narrow roads. There is no vehicle access to the villa entrance, but rather a narrow footpath.
I enthusiastically recommend the villa to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or active individuals looking to really get to know the island.

The host, Ettore was very accommodating and was so helpful. It’s a unique with charming place to stay and feels like an island cabin getaway. Ettore is a splendid and made our stay so comfortable. Just make sure you have mosquito repellent for outside!
We ended up loving the location but we did not realize that there is a 100 meter hill you need to carry your suitcases up and that most cabs will drop you 300 meters or more from the place due to narrow streets. That said, it is a charming cottage without air conditioning and with a serviceable small kitchen, not for gourmet chefs. Ettore was fantastic and helpful. We would recommend renting electric bicycles in Naples since they don't rent them in Capri but everyone uses them.
One of the surprise highlights once we got used to the long walk up hill into town, was that we really got in much better shape. Capri is all hills and tiny narrow roads. This place, like many on the Island, is off the beaten path.
Ettore was generous with his time and greeted us with proseco and a stocked kitchen. We had hoped to rent a scooter and had pre-arranged it but the scooter company owner refused to rent them to us for safety reasons when he realized that we are not regular scooter riders.
Anacapri is divine and away from the hype and noise of Capri. We are in much better shape than when we arrived. Thanks Ettore. The stay was magical.

Far from what’s expected
It was difficult to find location of the property. I had contacted the host several time via Homeaway and no answer, on the day of arrival had to use address provided by Homeaway to arrive to Anacapri and walk the neighborhood with pictures provided and lucky was helped by a local. When arrived the host said he had been emailing me to my personal email which I never received, he then told us we could go to the beach until check in time and drop our bags outside. While at the beach club he then emailed via Homeaway and said we will need to give him an additional hefty amount of euros as a deposit which he will then wire back after check out(still waiting on this). Property did not have any ac only fan which were not enough especially in the tiny second bedroom which did not fit anything besides the bed. We had to leave all windows and door open at nights in order to sleep. Don’t be fooled by pictures of the view you get none at all just of trees. Host was gracious enough to give us a little tour of places to visit and information on the island.
Ettore was wonderful and welcoming. The villa and the gardens were even more beautiful than the photos. Our children loved the pool and exploring the grounds. Three adults and three children fit comfortably. Ettore welcomed us with fresh tomatoes and everything needed for dinner and breakfast. Exceeded our expectations! Nearby restaurant with incredibly cliff views of sunsets and wonderful dinner. We will be back for a longer stay. Ettore helped us rent a boat for the day to tour the island. Thank you Ettore! Hope to see you again soon!

Quaint and authentic
This property is very quaint and authentic. I give it 5 stars because the experience made me feel as if I lived there. A lot of walking which is needed to balance all the calories from the incredible local restaurant. I would suggest for a couple as it is small. The second bedroom is usable; however if we were sharing with another couple rather than family it would have been tight. But don’t let that dissuade you, the villa was perfect for our needs and the location could not have been better. Our host was enthusiastic and kindly left us with food to prepare a meal. Again ...location, location, location.

Outstanding Villa and great location.
We (3 cousins) had an absolutely fabulous time at the Villa and on the Island of Capri. Ettore, the owner, was the most gracious person we met on our whole trip. He met us at the Villa and gave us a tour and explained the history of the Island and of Naples. He stocked the refrigerator with food so we could cook a dinner and have some great wine on our first night. His recommendations for taxi, boat tour, and restaurants were spot on. He drove us out to a point to show us the view of the Sea and the coast line of Anacapri. Absolutely beautiful. One point that was mentioned in other reviews is that you need some spray for mosquitoes - they are very small hit your legs!! This is a fabulous place and we all hope to return in the future.

Anacapri hideaway--full of pleasures!
Starting with a lovely greeting from Ettore, this garden of Mediterranean Eden—about a half a hectare of figs, pomegranates, and olive trees—will immediately make you feel you have arrived in a special place. Now to get here is a trek—plan ahead and take the fast passenger ferry from Naples. We recommend you schedule a driver ahead of time as the villa is not easily found even by taxi drivers.
This is the perfect hideaway from a sometimes hectic tourist island. Anacapri is an oasis, both close and far from the best of Capri. It’s just a five minute walk to the bus pick up to Anacapri, (a 10 minute ride into this hamlet). All the shopping you’ll want is here, from pantry food to clothing.
The Blue Grotto is about a 20 minute walk down steep but charming stone steps. You can get a regular tourist boat to this destination during the day, but wait until 19:00 when all the tourists leave and take a swim into the cave yourself. Lots of other swimmers will join you with joy in their voices.
The island of Capri is so much about history. From the villa, a 20 minute walk takes you
to the Emperor Tiberius’ Damecuta villa. In Anacapri, the chair lift to the top of Mt Solaro gives a panoramic view of the whole island. See also Axel Munthe’s gorgeous sanctuary with yet more spectacular views of the bay.
Back to the villa! Because you’ll do much walking, return home around 15:00 for your own private swim in the pool’s cool waters. Savor this lovely dwelling and its gardens! The dreamy day bed awaits a shady nap that invigorates for the evening. Be sure to stock up on libations – it’s a perfect place to enjoy a gin and tonic! Another wonderful feature? The out-building shower under the shade of a fig tree. If you’d like a meal out, walk a short distance through the neighborhood streets to Giorgios Restaurante, where the finest seafood await you, complete with sunset!!
The villa is beautifully clean, spacious, quiet and perfect for a couple or small family. It smells wonderful – we would love to capture THIS Capri smell and sell it as a perfume! The kitchen is small but complete with all you’ll need to create some scrumptious meals. Ettore left a basket of staples--fresh tomatoes, onions, lemons, garlic and basil; together with some fresh crusty bread and pasta we had memorable first meal. Come prepared with your favorite red or white wine!
The lighted glass bottles around the property keep a nice glow all night long. Grazie Ettore for sharing it with us
