Property was very clean and welcoming! Lots of space for everyone to hang out and for the kids to play outside. Close to the beach and all the fun downtown shops!
We were all pleased with the space and amenities. Clean, comfortable and close enough to downtown to walk. Excellent response from host. Lots of restaurants to meet the needs of special diets. Beds were comfortable and enough showers to accommodate. Thank you!
They have done a nice job of updating an older property. The weather was colder than we would have liked, but thats the chance you take when booking vacations.
Great home, very well supplied. Prompt communications with host. Very spacious and many common areas if the weather is bad. Great walking distance to beach.
I’ve been to the town of Pentwater before so I knew what to expect as far as the area. The house itself was beautiful, the host always responded to my nervous check ins in the months prior as well. Everything was spotless and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
House was perfect and exactly as described in the posting for our ladies fishing weekend! Absolutely wonderful host that was immediately responsive when asking questions! Tons of room, great outdoor space, and lots of beds for all the friends and family. Super close to downtown and very quiet neighborhood! Would love to stay again!
We had 2 families together for a cousin weekend. Unfortunately it rained all day Saturday, but the house was the perfect place for 10 kids ages 7-15 to play games, watch tv, and just enjoy each other's company. We loved the grill and fire pit too.
Perfect house for a family get together! Great kitchen and gathering space. Several rooms to go to relax or play games. Outside spaces available. Close to town but away from the noise. Close to the state park! Perfect!
This location was wonderful and the house comfortably slept all 17 of us! There are many gathering spaces for smaller conversations, and the great room was wonderful at meal times. We spent time on the back patio and walked several times to the downtown area. If you are headed to Pentwater, this is a highly recommended listing. We were minutes from the beach (walking or driving), and the neighborhood was quiet and lovely.
I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The house was set up perfectly for our family vacation with lots of space for everyone to gather together or to do their own thing inside or out. House is very clean, beds are comfortable, large dining table and kitchen has anything you could need. It’s location is great. We could walk to the beach or downtown to shops and restaurants. Thank you for sharing your house. We hope to return next year.
This place met all of our needs. It was perfectly spacious for our group of 13 adults that came to the area to play as many disc golf courses and board games as possible. The outdoor picnic tables were great, the beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet - yet close to anything you need. Becki was extremely easy to coordinate with and super responsive. Remember to bring your own linens and towels!
The property was very clean and located just a few blocks from main street Pentwater. We enjoyed being able to walk downtown to look at shops and grab some ice cream or coffee. The beach is walking distance and was very pretty! The kitchen within the home was well stocked. The home provided several rooms to gather and hang out in . We enjoyed the outside areas for gathering around the fire pit, games, and for eating. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this home!
We normally take our VRBO vacation at a waterfront setting, so we were a little unsure about an "in town" setting. But it was fun being able to walk to town, go through the interesting shops, and golf cart around the neighborhoods. The house we stayed in was perfect for our 16 member family, having multiple gathering and sleeping areas. The house was well equipped with kitchen wares, outdoor furnishings, and even bicycles! All in all, it was a good choice for a great vacation.

Older home - has space - not worth price
While the home does have space for the amount of people we had and a nice outdoor space - home was very outdated and unsafe in some areas. Kitchen was small and not a ton of space to prep or in fridge. House has washer and dryer but you are unable to use it. Laundromat is not always stocked with quarters or detergent and the washer/dryers do not work well. Ceiling fan broke in one room and almost hit a child sleeping on a bed. Have exposed wiring in upstairs rooms. Internet only worked here and there but very slow. Overall not worth the price they are charging.

Our 1890 historical home we purchased in 2014 has had countless updates including a new electrical service in 2015 and all new plumbing including two new bathrooms in 2017. The kitchen easily accommodates three working adults with over 8' of available counter top for prepping and many empty cupboards for grocery storage. The newer refrigerator is 22.1 cubic feet with a lower freezer drawer. We have had three seasons of full bookings with wonderful reviews and many repeat guests. The washer/dryer are not listed as amenities.
Any home is unsafe for unsupervised children who hang on ceiling fans. (The metal blade arm was snapped off and hit the floor leaving a gauge in the wood and light bulb pieces were found in the bedding.) We assume it was the same unsupervised children breaking several branches off ornamental trees in the yard and putting a hole in the screen door. We attempt to be as accommodating as possible and in this case have exhibited good will by making all repairs and refunding the full security deposit.
The internet provider has confirmed one short interruption in service for this week. They also stated that five or more devices could cause slower service.
Our goal is to provide a spacious, comfortable home for our guests and their friends/family to spend time together making lasting memories in beautiful Pentwater.
Becki is the nicest host. She was accommodating our early check in request and was very easy to communicate with.
While our party included just 6 people, I was amazed to see how the house is perfectly organized to accommodate large families. Lots of communal spaces inside and well distributed relaxing/ eating areas outside. The kitchen is super equipped with plenty for large groups.
Immaculately clean and conveniently located.
We had 7 adults and 3 kids and the house was big enough for everyone to have their own space if they wanted it. The property manager was very responsive, the place was spotless and had everything we needed for the weekend. We would definitely stay there again.
The house was absolutely beautiful. We had 20 girls stay at the house. Which there was plenty of room. The only thing that we had a problem with was the fireplace. It just kept turning off. But we figured it out
The town was very quiet which was the off season. Nothing was really opened. The bear in was a great place to eat. The antler restaurant was not. They didn’t want to serve us which was very disappointing. But we made the best of it.
Overall it was a great relaxing vacation. The house was great.
Thank you

Why they chose this property
We have vacationed in Pentwater for over 30 years and ran across this house for sale with no plans on buying. When we walked in we knew this was supposed to be our home. Plenty of room for friends and family to come and enjoy our favorite vacation spot with us. We aren't able to be there full time and want to be able to share it with other families. Pentwater is a place to slow down, recharge and reconnect with family and friends. Beautiful beach, farmers markets, fishing, etc all a bike ride away. Park the car for the whole week.
What makes this property unique
We absolutely love that the house can be full of people and there is still room for everyone to have their own space. 8 teenage boys can be upstairs watching TV, while the little kids are playing catch in the yard, couples sitting in the sunroom or on the deck relaxing after a great day at the beach. Grandpa catching the news in the sitting room and mom and grandma reading in the living room while the girls are playing a board game on the dining room table. Where did dad go? He's taking a nap after getting up early to go fishing this morning. Perfect family get away home base.
