Mountain Near House is a beautiful home situated slope-side to Salamander Ski Trail which is fabulous for ski/hike/bike adventures. Ski-in/ski-out from lovely Mountain Near House aka Northface 38. Watch the skiers and snow-boarders come down Timberline's famous Salamander Trail as you take a break by the cozy fireplace. Hike and mountain bike the trails during warmer weather. Enjoy the hot tub and game room with pool table year-round. Hike the Dolly Sods Wilderness or a few minutes drive to numerous West Virginia State Parks. Mountain Near House has three levels of space to enjoy with bedrooms on the lower recreation level and on the third floor. The main level boasts a fabulous view of the trail and in winter you can sit in the hot tub while enjoying winter skiers passing by. Privacy and a summer treehouse affect can be enjoyed in summer. Fall leaf peepers will enjoy the view that Mountain Near House provides!

Slopeside/Trailside at Salamander Ski Trail. Ski-In/Ski-Out. Please note that you will need 4 wheel drive or chains to access Mountain Near House during inclement winter weather. You should have at least one 4 wheel drive vehicles in your party. Parking for non-4 wheel drive vehicles is available in the resort parking lot a short distance away. You would need to use your 4 wheel drive vehicles to carry your group from the parking lot to Mountain Near House , a distance of about 300 yards. We can provide assistance if needed during normal hours.
