Our house 'Le Clos du Trait' in Roffey, near Chablis in Burgundy, is a perfect meeting point for family reunions or friends, for a w-e or more in all seasons.

You rent your second home, everything is ready on your arrival, the beds are made, the garden is maintained, the pool is hot from April and the house, heated in winter before your arrival, will welcome you with a surge!
This beautiful and large charming house (400 m2) still classified 'furnished tourism 4 stars' in 2023, is our family home, we have restored with love.
It will seduce you with its 4-star comfort, its authentic charm and the calm of its location on the outskirts of the small village of Roffey 15 minutes from Chablis.
Flowered garden and enclosed, large pool 9 m x 4 m x 1.5 m, secured by electric shutter, in use and heated from April-November. Luxurious JACUZZI BEACHCOMBER at 38 ° all year round.
Sheltered terrace facing the pool with built-in barbecue, summer kitchen and infrared heating for outdoor dining. Private parking for 8 cars, bike and motorbike shelter, ping-pong table
The large living room of 55 m2 with its corner of fire (wood provided) will be appreciated for the cool days. The 8 rooms comfortably accommodate 15 people.

Close to the river 'Armançon' and the Burgundy canal ('bike-canal' path, fishing, river cruises) and golf courses at Tanlay Castle and Chaource, everything is together for quality family holidays.  You will appreciate the very large living room (exposed beams and stones), surmounted by a mezzanine, the corner of fire, with its comfortable sofas and its big flatscreen TV, access WIFI free and free
Very appreciated also the sheltered terrace heated with the demand, with barbecue and summer kitchen, opening on the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. The price week and W-E is indicated for 15 people (maximum to sleep, according to the fire safety legislation). If you are more numerous, for the night, a small cottage near can accommodate 2 to 6 people, with supplement.

ACTIVITIES: If you are sporty, the bike path along the Burgundy canal will seduce you.
Golf 15 km to Tanlay castle

Visit of the vineyards and wine festival: On request, we can organize cellar visits with tasting for the vineyards of Chablis and Tonnerrois.

Visits to make:
Tonnerre, 8 km away, is a pretty town with an important artistic heritage. The tourist office can arrange a guided tour of the city or get documentation and plans for a self-guided tour. You can rent bikes and enjoy the beautiful way recently fitted along the Burgundy Canal. You will find Clos du Trait extensive documentation on visits to within 30 km: castles of Tanlay, Ancy le Franc, Maulnes; Pontigny Abbey, village of Noyers one of the most beautiful in France etc ...
GOOD TO KNOW :
The house is NO SMOKING, the terrace sheltered and heated on demand allows smokers to be outside.
Bed linen and towels are included, beds will be made upon arrival.
Dog accepted: 50 € per stay.
If you party outside the house, you will limit the decibels reasonably so as not to disturb the neighbors because the noise spreads far.

Super French stay Roffey

Just come back from a wonderful week stay at this Roffey property. Exactly how it was described and perfect for our dads 70th birthday treat. 6 adults and 2 children , plenty of space, pool and hot tub made it extra special . It was also a great location for visiting Chablis and many other picture perfect villages. The host was always helpful with any questions and replied promptly to any messages. I would highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely be returning to explore more of the area.

Great for a large group

The house was perfect for a large group, we ate most of our meals in the outdoor area which was sheltered from the sun and we could watch the kids in the pool. The house was well equipped and clean. It was great having the outdoor cooking area which had a fridge and dishwasher. There isn’t anything in the village but activities are close by so it’s not a problem. I would recommend for large groups.

Beautiful site, full of amenities

This is a wonderful place for families and friends to hang out, even through cloudy weather. The outside porch area is amazing for eating and keeping an eye on the kids in the pool and tub. The rooms are clean, some of them quite lovely. There are a lot of instructions and it was kind of hard keeping them straight. Pay attention to hot tub use and recycling and trash and electricity use and you'll be all set.

Gite très bien. Nous étions 14 personnes à passer le réveillon. Tout c'est bien passé. tous les couples avaient une chambre. J'avais un doute sur le surcout en électricité avec le spa mais au final on n'a pas dépassé le nb de KWh. Le gite dispose de tout les équipements. La personne qui est chargée de l'accueil et de la restitution est très sympa. Je recommande.

The perfect stay!

The house is very tidy and offers many possibilities. The biggest advantages is certainly the covered terrace where you can sit outside all night and go in the jaccuzzi whenever you like. The neighbourhood is very quite, but bigger cities are within driving distance. A special mention to the employee Laurence who was very communicative, gave us an excellent explanation at check-in and check-out!

A fantastic house for a big family holiday

My husband and I spent a week at this charming house and celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our parents, children and grandchildren, along with our dog. There were ten adults and four children ranging from one to five years old. We were warmly greeted by Christine who showed us round and explained everything. It was useful that there was a downstairs room with bathroom for my Mother who is eighty nine and struggles with stairs. The two rooms upstairs with air conditioning were used by the parents with young children. It was great having one communal room with lounge and dining room and kitchen, although the most part of our holiday was spent around the pool and on the outside terrace which has its own kitchen. The pool was a great success and enjoyed by all. The hot tub was also a huge hit. There was plenty of seating and play activities, including the table tennis table. We all had a lovely time and the weather was glorious! With our young children we had to be highly vigilant given that the pool was not fenced off but with arm bands and swimming aids the children benefited from swimming every day. Our only slight concern was the extra payment for electricity used over the allowance. We used the air con and heated the hot tub every day during our stay and it was about 65 euros extra, so not too bad! All in all we had an excellent time staying at the house and we would strongly recommend it. Thank you to Christine and M and Madam Ragot.

Il est indiqué une maison 4 étoiles, certes, mais qui n'est nullement indépendante, puisque la maison des propriétaires s'imbrique, totalement, dans la location (avec des portes indiquant "privé"), qu'il n'y a pas de séparation des jardins et que les propriétaires circulent dans l'espace réservé à la location.

Séjour familial parfait

Nous étions 12 adultes et 2 enfants. C’est une belle maison typique, pleine de charme, très agréable à vivre, avec plusieurs espaces de vie : terrasse couverte - barbecue, espace jacuzzi – piscine - transats, espace pingpong, espace jardin, espace télé… il y en a pour tous les goûts ! Elle est très bien équipée au niveau de la cuisine, ainsi qu’au niveau des services d’assiettes pour faire des repas famille nombreuse. La cuisine d’été extérieure a été très appréciée. La semaine où nous étions présents, la météo n’était pas favorable sur 3 jours (froid et pluie), mais nous avons profité de la région et de ses caves (Chablis, Irancy) ! Coté chambres : Celle du RDC est bien adaptée à une personne âgée, car au calme, étant du côté opposé à la terrasse, où les soirées d’été sont animées (attention : il y a une marche pour accéder au salon). A l’étage, 3 chambres sont réellement indépendantes, les 3 autres sont communicantes et adaptées à une grande fratrie. Seul bémol, le manque d’une salle d’eau supplémentaire à l’étage. Nous avons tous beaucoup apprécié ce séjour, et nous reviendrons au Clos du Trait avec grand plaisir. Le jacuzzi a été particulièrement apprécié par le temps frisquet que nous avons eu ! Merci à Laeticia pour son aide précieuse et sa disponibilité.

Maison jolie et agréable

Très jolie maison avec le charme et le cachet de l'ancien où il fait bon vivre. La terrasse couverte est très agréable, spacieuse, elle permet de profiter de dehors quelque soit le temps et donne directement accès à la piscine et au jacuzzi. Le salon et sa majestueuse cheminée est un lieu de détente idéal. J'ai également apprécié l'équipement pour les jeunes enfant : lit, table à langer, baignoire, balançoire et lecteur de DVD, ma fille était ravie! Pour finir, j'y ai bien dormi, le lit étant grand et confortable. Un séjour au top!

Nous avons organisé un séminaire sur 2 jours pour 12 personnes fin mai 2016, malgré le temps pluvieux quel dommage ! Tout étais parfait, conforme à la description, propriétaire charmante et au service de ses hôtes. Génial pour un week-end

Nous avons passé un moment, agréable et génial. La maison est très belle, propre et fonctionnelle même dans les placards de la cuisine qui nous laisse un grand choix de possibilités pour les repas (fondue, raclette, couscous, ...). Magnifique demeure dans une très belle région

Nous avons séjourné au Clos du Trait à l'occasion d'un week-end entre amis et c'est un gîte que je recommanderais sans hésiter ! Les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables et décorées avec goût, la salle à manger et la terrasse couverte peuvent accueillir de nombreux convives, la piscine chauffée et le spa permettent des moments de détente bienvenus après les innombrables excursions que proposent les environs. Les hôtes sont charmants et vous indiqueront les sites à ne pas manquer dans la région, qui compte de superbes châteaux, villages médiévaux, vignobles, etc. Nous avons notamment fait une dégustation dans le village voisin d'Épineuil et avons visité le village de Chablis, où un marché a lieu le dimanche matin. Nous avons quitté les lieux à regret !

Magnifique séjour entre amis.

Nous avions découverts ce gîte sur votre site et avons passé un séjour délicieux. La situation géographique de la maison était idéale pour nous car non loin de chaque ville d'où nos amis venaient. Superbement aménagée, rien ne manquait. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un temps superbe et la piscine (chauffée) ainsi que le spa (formidable au coucher du soleil avec vue sur la campagne) ont ravis petits et grands. Avant le barbecue sous la grande veranda couverte et chauffée elle aussi, c'était un grand bonheur de se retrouver dans de telles conditions d'hébergement. A ce sujet, les propriétaires ont été d'une gentillesse et d'une disponibilité parfaites, nous indiquant les endroits à visiter ainsi que les vignobles environnants (le Chablisien en particulier pour les amateurs), et surtout le Golf de Tanlay car nous avions 4 Golfeurs dans le groupe. Pour finir je voudrai insister sur la très bonne tenue de la maison (propreté, literies, décoration, jardin etc...). Je recommande chaleureusement cette propriété pour toutes familles ou groupe d'amis souhaitant passer un bon séjour. Un grand merci aux Propriétaires (Monsieur et Madame Ragot) pour leur acceuil.
