This is a weekend getaway apartment located just one block from the Lehigh River and fifteen minute walk into historic downtown Jim Thorpe. The apartment is equipped with a queen size bed, a sleeper sofa, gas fireplace (cold months only), basic cable TV, a DVD player, WIFI, new kitchen, rustic living room and new bathroom. There is a shaded brick courtyard in the back to relax outside. The apartment also has original artwork hanging on the walls painted by the owner. Painting reproductions are for sale online and original tee shirts available at the treasure shop located on Broadway two shops up from the Inn at Jim Thorpe.

Clean and comfortable property. Although we didn’t walk to town my guess is about a 15 to 20 minute walk. But it’s all uphill coming back.

Fun weekend getaway

Property was clean and decorated cute. Owner Steve was very nice and checked in to make sure everything was ok. Not much by the property but about 10 minute walk across bridge to downtown Jim Thorpe to restaurants, shops and the train. Close to lake, bike and hiking trails. Very enjoyable stay

Lovely quaint property

We really enjoyed this quaint little spot. It's close enough to the town to easily pop over but far enough away to be very quiet and calm. The hosts were so kind and welcoming- we would dediniteky go back.

Unfortunately my partner and I had to end our trip a bit early due to unforeseen circumstances, but our time at the Weekender was fantastic. Place is nicely located, kept in immaculate shape, and was cozy and pleasantly decorated. Strongly recommend.

Perfect Stay!

We traveled up to PA for a wedding in Tamaqua and decided to stay in Jim Thorpe because the couple had a shuttle going out of downtown. I chose this place at the last second and it was a great decision! The VRBO was clean and very easy to check in and out of. It was within walking distance from town and was nice because we could park the rental car right out front. Steve was amazing and I would highly recommend this place!

Lehigh Gorge Bike Weekend

Perfect for a weekend stay. Steve is a wonderful host. Biked 23 miles on the Lehigh Gorge D&L Trail. The nearby Union Publick House was terrific bonus with fast & friendly service.

Fourth time?

I believe this is our fourth stay! It is so close to everything. This time we went for a train ride and a concert at the Opera House. Little shopping too! House is clean and Steve makes sure it is ready for guests!

It meets your needs

This is a place that has the basics. It met our needs. We wanted to go to Jim Thorpe but we didn't want to pay the high prices to stay in the historical part. This is located just across the river and takes about 2 minutes to get to the historical area of Jim Thorpe.

Bike train

Excellent location to visit JimThorpe, just a ten minute walk into downtown so no need to find/pay for parking and a quite residential street for a good night sleep. With a great bed, super bathroom (high pressure shower ) and great full size kitchen ,its the perfect place to relax. Our main topic was the Leigh trail bike train but also found sone good golfing 20 min away, Host was excellent and had some original artwork hanging in the rooms.

A perfect find

This was one our best rental finds. What a gem. Perfect location. It is about 1/2 mile from the train station and everything else Jim Thorpe has to offer. The property is set in a very quiet location. Everything as far as kitchen utensils, bathroom supplies and linens are provided. Steve,the owner,was very kind and helpful on our arrival. We will be back asap!!!

Great place within walking distance to downtown Jim Thorpe.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Weekender. So nice to park our car in front of the rental and walk about 15 min. over to the Olde Time Christmas in Jim Thorpe. Some of the best things about this rental are the location, comfortable bed, gas fireplace and cozy welcoming feel. I also loved all the hooks. (you can never have too many hooks) Steve sent us great instruction/suggestions to make our stay even better and sent a message after our check in to make sure everything was okay. On his suggestions, we took the trolley ride and really enjoyed it. We took a quick ride over to Leighton to have dinner at Bonnie & Clyde Pub. Great service and food. We would stay here again if we were to visit the area again.

The property met our needs. The town was very fifgiculy to navigate gor a prtson with limited mobility The host contacted us by email and we had no issues The place was clean and on a quiet street. The bed was adequate. We didnt need the propane fireplace The individual baseboard electric heat warmed the main rooms, bathroom and bedroom.The kitchen was great with working appliances
