About this property

Manoir XV century. with its heated indoor pool

Surrounded by meadows among a handful of cottages between Nantes and the sea, this beautiful mansion of the fifteenth in the seventeenth century, with its indoor heated swimming pool and its adjoining house of friends, offers a magical experience for 16 people, including 14 adults.
The mansion takes you into another world, each room has been restored in the state of the art; cob, tiles, beams, two large fireplaces, views stones, antique wooden staircase in the tower, huge entrance porch and moats. All parts are between 30 and 40 m2.
The guest house, which has just been renovated, has kept all the charm of the country house, like the kitchen floor in old tiles or its beamed ceilings, or its many walls whitewashed.
The indoor pool that connects the manor house and the guest house provides a moment of conviviality for everyone and at all times.
The beaches, restaurants, Natural Reserve and largest city Nantes offer a multitude of activities for those who want to visit.

Magical place!

We visited with a family of 10 and a dog. This included 4 young children who were spellbound by the castle, the pool and the grounds. We only left the Manoir to go to the supermarket and vets and never got bored. Everything we needed was provided and the kids had great fun exploring all the different rooms. Belinda was a lovely and helpful host, making sure that we got the most out of our stay. The grandchildren have already asked when we're going again! Thank you Belinda.

We had a wonderful time at the La Simonais. Belinda was a brilliant host, greeting us on arrival and making us feel very at home. We had a group of nine, five children of various ages and four adults, the house, grounds and pool are so spacious that there is always a quiet spot to find. The garden and grounds are beautiful, and we spent many evenings walking through the fields and down to the canal to spot the coypu in the water. With La Baule close we headed off for a days horse riding and a trip to the beach, also ventured to the submarine at Saint Nazaire and had a lovely warm day in the delights of Nantes. Would we go back - 100% what a wonderful holiday, even the odd day of rain didn't affect our stay. Thanks once again Belinda, you've got a gem of place there!

Wir waren mit mehreren Familen und Freunden über Silvester in diesem schönen Manoir. Für alle gab es zahlreiche Möglichkeiten in den verschiedenen Räumen (zwei Wohnzimmer, Schwimmbad, grosses Esszimmer) den eigenen und gemeinsamen Interessen nachzugehen. Highlight für uns begeisterte Hobbyköche war definitiv die voll ausgestattete Küche die keine Wünsche übrig liess.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cet endroit magnifique, nous sommes tombés sous son charme dès l'arrivée. Nous étions 20 personnes plus un bébé et n'avons jamais manqué d'espace. Les extérieurs sont aussi agréables que le Manoir et nous avons pu nous créer plein de merveilleux souvenirs. Je conseille vivement ! (Seul petit bémol, l'odeur de la fosse qui nous a dérangé à certains moments)

Lovely property with huge outside decks and beautiful pool

We are a large family group including grandparents, children and the grandchildren ranging from 4 years old to twenty somethings. It suited everyone, especially the pool !!! The Manoir is very private with everything you need it has very large gardens which were a haven for birds and wildlife. Whilst we were there we had visits from numerous birds, bats, frogs, deer, coypu and one night even wild boar. This is an ancient building and only in France could you get the opportunity to stay in such place, we felt lucky to be able to say we had stayed in a Castle . The area has many lovely places to visit including La Baule , Croisic, Guerande, Pornic, San Marc, Briere National Park all with festivals galore and the for those looking for something different the WW11 Submarine pens in St Nazaire. Our host Belinda was lovely and contactable at all times as was her housekeeper Isabelle . A lovely family holiday .

What an amazing place!!

We stayed at the Manoir for a week-long family gathering which at its peak comprised 10 adults, 2 teenagers, four children, a baby and a dog. The house and cottage together provided ample space for all and we never felt crowded. All the rooms are spacious and there are many living spaces as well as all the bedrooms so lots of different activities can proceed in parallel. The property is a beautiful old manor house and was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, well equipped and quiet.  The pool was a favorite with youngsters and adults as was the outdoor table-tennis table. We arrived a little early and Isabelle, the housekeeper,  met us and gave us a very useful tour of the house including instructions on how to operate the pool cover and cleaner. All in all it was everything that we had hoped for.

Hele fijne woning, wij waren met 3 gezinnen, totaal 6 volwassenen en 8 kinderen.

De woning is mooi gelegen en makkelijk bereikbaar, vanaf de lokatie zijn de toeristische plekjes goed te bezoeken. De woning is van alle gemakken voorzien al kan de oven Wel vernieuwd worden, de robot in het zwembad doet volgens ons niet veel maar het water was er niet viezer door, wel goed bijhouden met schepnet en 's avonds afdekken.

Excellentes vacances au manoir de la Simonais

Nous avons séjourné au manoir pendant une semaine au mois de juillet. Toute la famille (3 générations) a été plus qu'enchantée de ces vacances. L'espace disponible pour chacun, la piscine, les chambres toutes plus jolies les unes que les autres et le ravissant parc avec son boulodrome ont rendu notre séjour très agréable. Notre très sympathique hôtesse Belinda nous a accueillis chaleureusement et était toujours disponible en cas de besoin. Nous reviendrions avec plaisir dans ce très bel endroit Murielle

La vie de château pour un WE familial

Grand WE familial de 3 jours très apprécié au manoir. De la piscine au terrain de pétanque, des pièces de vie chaleureuses aux chambres atypiques, il y a de quoi se sentir vraiment bien… dans un endroit qu'on a rarement l'occasion d'habiter. Comme la météo était clémente, même en octobre, les enfants (et les adultes aussi) ont bien profité des extérieurs. Côté pratique, on a trouvé sur place tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner pour 15 pers, pour faire des jeux de société avec les enfants et pour visionner sur grand écran une défaite de l'équipe de France de Rugby en coupe du monde. Autre élément essentiel que l'on retient : le sens de l'accueil de Belinda et Bertrand. Ils ont été aux petits oignons avec nous et en toute simplicité. Conclusion : on passerait bien un autre WE ici !

Wonderful property, 15th century with 21st century

Beautiful house in very private grounds and extremely well equipped, lovely pool and decking area. Owner very helpful and always answered emails and kept in touch right up to the end of our holiday. We went as an extended family of 14, 11 adults and 3 children for 2 weeks. It was fabulous. Only warning if you are not too steady on your feet then staircases are a bit tricky. Many thanks to the owner for the use of a fabulous house that we will all miss!!!

Des vacances magiques

Nous avons passé 3 semaines de vacances inoubliables... des propriétaires chaleureux et ô combien sympathiques, un cadre divin avec des coins charmants et tranquilles disséminés un peu partout dans la propriété, la piscine idéale pour un temps incertain, oscillant entre grand bleu et crachin breton, un équipement plus qu'adapté aux grandes tablées, des chambres somptueuses... la campagne à 20' de la plage.... Juste génial;... Merci Belinda et Bertrand!

Super week-end...!!

Nous avons passé un super week-end de 4 jours dans un endroit tout simplement magnifique... Manoir, Cottage et jardin tout est conforme au photo voir même plus. Location en tout point conforme à nos attentes, très bien équipés rien ne manque et enfin une vrai piscine CHAUFFEE !! Un grand merci à la propriétaire qui a été d'une grande gentillesse et très attentionnée. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!!!!!
