Wonderful property, hosts and location!
Beautiful property, stone and beams inside, very rustic, equiped with everything you could need including BBQ and very comfy bed! Wonderful views whichever way you looked, a lovely pond where I saw fish, frogs and water snakes! The owners Sarah and Tim are fantastic! Such lovely friendly people with a wealth of local knowledge! (Including advising us of the best way to get to the rugby in Bordeaux!) I must also mention Tia, their rescue dog who we became very fond of! Such a well behaved friendy girl! Lots of nice places to visit a short car journey away! Cute villages, towns and Chateauxs to go wine tasting! 🍷🍷🌞🌞 We had an amazing time! Would definitely recommend! 🙂🙂🙂

Relaxing Rural Gite
Trois Maisons provided spotless, comfortable accommodation in lovely old farm buildings. Sarah and Tim made sure we had everything we needed and lots delicious tomatoes and produce from their garden. They have created wonderful grounds with shady trees/sitting areas and pool with plenty of sun loungers . We totally relaxed sitting next to the huge pond full of lillies and frogs and enjoyed exploring nearby by foot and on the bikes. We enjoyed the chickens, ducks and all the wildlife and of course fell in love their great dog Tia. A very French country holiday with the added bonus of a kettle!

We moved to France in 2002, from the South of England. Sarah had a background working with animals, especially horses, Tim had his own groundworks company. We met only 18 months before moving here,we decided to take the plunge, neither of us speaking french! We have learnt as we have gone along, taught by our neighbours, with many a laugh at our expense. We have learnt enough french to run our own carpentry business in the area, doing traditional oak work. We were married in our village in 2005, much to the delight of all the locals, who supplied all the liquids necessary, good and bad!!

Why they chose this property

We are country people and when we found Les Trois Maisons, with its fantastic view and large farmhouse kitchen we knew that it was for us - we loved the idea of renovating 3 ruins and a very smelly house! It was a long hard slog over 5 years, doing all the work ourselves, but now as all our guests tell us, it is a wonderful property in a beautiful situation. We have been adopted by our local agricultural community, which we participate in and gives us a very enjoyable lifestyle.

What makes this property unique

we enjoy the fine weather of SW France and the agricultural ambiance, walk our dogs regularly through the country lanes and woods, where we gather mushrooms and chestnuts in good french style. Although we are rural, the small local village is convenient, with all facilities, it can be reached on foot, by bicycle, and occasionally by car if you must!
