Ideally located in the heart of the Loire castles, in the Anjou-Touraine national park, allowing you to access the many major historic sites of the Loire valley in no time. the surrounding countryside will invite you to escape to the forest, to stroll along the water, to discover here and there a vineyard lodge of a washhouse ... fishermen will not be outdone, they will be able to tease the stud, the roach, the minnow ... in the manse, the vienne or the loire. children will appreciate the proximity of the futuroscope, the zoo of doué-la-fontaine and the aquarium of touraine ... depending on the season, gourmets can freely enjoy the fruits of the orchard.

We very much enjoyed staying in this private and quiet property, which is located close to attractive towns , villages and Châteaux , as well as excellent walks. (Richelieu ‘s tourist office has walk guides in English.)

Cozy but spacious, dearly loved home in a peaceful village in beautiful countryside

We loved every minute of our stay in this house and in this area. The house is so well-appointed, we enjoyed the woodburner stove on colder days, and we could sleep with windows wide open because it is so quiet at night. Only the beautiful bird song will wake you up in the morning. House is very comfortable, beds were great, kitchen had everything we needed - and more! Owners were super friendly and helpful. We couldn't wish for a better place. Cycling was excellent in the area, as were historical castles and chateaus.

Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, entsprechend dem Charme des Hauses. Es war alles vorhanden, was für den Aufenthalt benötigt wurde. Außerdem gibt es direkt im Ort eine Möglichkeit, ein E-Auto zu laden. Das sollte auf alle Fälle in die Beschreibung des Hauses mit hinein.Die Vermieter Familie war sehr hilfsbereit und entgegenkommend.Und die Lage ist optimal um von dort aus viele Loire Schlösser zu besichtigen oder auch auf einem Weingut Stop zu machen

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans cette superbe maison qui a vraiment beaucoup de charme. Elle est meublée et décorée avec le plus grand soin, et contient tout ce dont vous pouvez avoir besoin durant votre séjour, y compris pour cuisiner. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les déjeuners dehors, le jacuzzi, le calme et les bruits de la campagne (chant des oiseaux, poules...). Cela également été une bonne base pour découvrir de très beaux lieux à proximité (Azay-le-Rideau, Valandry, Ussé, Chinon). Nous recommandons sans hésiter ce très bel endroit pour un séjour en Touraine.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé un tres agréable séjour chez Juanella, qui est une hôte habitant la maison d'à côté et qui est très disponible et aidante. Le jardin est fort agréable, grand avec des tables pratiques pour manger dehors et une table de ping-pong. A noter à l'intérieur que la chambre simple est en haut d'une échelle de meunier délicate a gravir, que l'autre chambre simple est dans le passage des deux dernières chambres ainsi que de la salle de bains, attenante à la seule chambre parentale.

Perfectly clean, the hosts are wonderful and you have everything you need. Easy reach of several chateaus but car is essential for everything. Supermarket just a 5 min drive. House is really fun and full of character and charm. The drought had destroyed any grass on the lawns but there was still lots of colour in the garden and the ping pong table was very popular! Worth knowing: All of the upstairs rooms involve using awkward steps. Our daughter has slight mobility issues and struggled. You have to walk through the office (downstairs bedroom) to get to the upstairs rooms and bathroom. The only bath/shower is the en-suite to the main bedroom. Lots of moving through each other’s bedrooms so just make sure you are comfortable with sharing space! Also worth knowing that there is only one very small oven (smaller than a microwave) and two small gas rings. There are two additional electric rings you can plug in and the BBQ is excellent. We loved it once we got our head around a slightly different way of living. Great fun!

A Delightful Gite

A peaceful property, spotlessly clean with lovely owners. We arrived in May, one of the hottest for many years but there are plenty of spaces in the generous garden to find shade. It is ideally located for visiting all the major places of interest. Due to the heat we spent little time inside as the bbq provided evening meals, but there was everything we could have needed at the property for a our visit. Just a note about the stairs in the property, if you have mobility issues, these would be challenging. We had a brilliant stay here. A week is just not enough time to see everything this region has to offer.
