Woodlands Cottages Yalding

Two charming 3-bedroom cottages with private en-suite bathrooms, set within 2.5 acres of Kentish gardens and woodland. Perfect for families, friends and wedding guests, with a tennis court, children’s play area, walking trails and historic Yalding village nearby. Dog-friendly and just 45 minutes from London by train.

Each cottage sleeps 6 and features three en-suite bedrooms, a stylish open-plan living area, Smart TV, Bose SoundLink speaker, fast Wi-Fi and a fully equipped kitchen. One cottage also has a 9ft (270cm) dining table that comfortably seats 12, making it ideal for shared meals.

Guests can enjoy an in-house ice cream parlour stocked with award-winning Taywell Kentish ice cream, made around four miles away. Cones, chocolate sauce, sprinkles and chocolate flakes are provided, with vegan sorbet available by prior request.

There is also an old-fashioned candyfloss machine with three flavoured sugars and a cinema-style popcorn machine. Popcorn sachets containing kernels and oil are provided, ready for you to make your own fresh, buttery popcorn.

Guests can also enjoy the mature woodland, tennis court with rackets and balls, children’s play area and south-facing balconies with outdoor dining furniture.

We had a wonderful stay at this holiday cottage! Everything was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. There was so much to do for all ages — from relaxing in the lovely surroundings to exploring the nearby attractions. The thoughtful touches throughout the cottage made it feel extra special and really showed the care that goes into hosting

Ideal for a family get together

Excellent facilities, well equipped kitchens, comfortable beds and all you need for a group/family gathering. The units were spotless and all equipment worked-+ the best showers I've had in along time. Externally the extensive grounds were a paradise for the children together with the climbing frame/slide and of course the tennis court. We wouldnt hesitate to visit again.

A perfect weekend

We had a fabulous weekend, went as a group of 12 friends for our annual early Christmas getaway. The cottages are beautiful, very clean, spacious and very well appointed. The beds were extremely comfortable. Lieven and Lydia are the perfect hosts, couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Would definitely book again.

We were amazed by the quality of this let. The owners had thought of everything to make our stay trouble free, even to the extent of plugs and usb sockets each side of every bed. There was plenty of room for all of us and the kitchen was well equipped.There was an ice-cream stand for us to have our own ice-cream parlour. The patio at the back had a table and chairs with a lovely view over the large back garden with a tennis court and child' s wooden play house. The owners were easy to contact pre-stay to arrange some details. We rented 2 cottages- each had an ensuite bathroom with a bath in the kid's rooms and showers in the others, and there were large tables inside one to seat everyone from both cottages.There are plenty of toiletries and very comfy seating. Cannot praise this enough

Lovely, well equipped cottages in beautiful location, with great owners

We had a lovely stay at these cottages. As a group of 12, it was great that each couple had their own beds and bathroom. The cottages were very well equipped, spotlessly clean and big enough to easily host our group. A ten minute walk to the lovely village of Yalding, with a fantastic back garden for the summer and loads of parking. The owners communication was excellent, and we really appreciated their little touches of local ciders and wine when we arrived, and good quality bathroom products. I thoroughly recommend staying here.

Clean and comfortable cottages in beautiful grounds

We rented both cottages for a group of 8 so lots of space. Loved having all ensuite rooms with high quality furnishings and good water pressure in showers. Kitchens well equipped except for bowls - we needed more of these. Big omission for us was no dryer for all washing that comes with young children. Tennis court and grounds were a delight to wander in and children loved all the toys.Thank you.

We had such a lovely stay! The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy. We were delighted to find an ice cream fridge there upon entry too! The garden was absolutely beautiful too - we had lots of fun playing tennis. We were staying there for our wedding and the hosts even left us a very nice gift. Would recommend!

Great for a family stay before a wedding

Very friendly hosts, incredibly helpful as we were a large party travelling from different parts of the U.K. in letting us check in early. Great location in the village, walkable to village pub and perfect for the venue (The Gardens in Yalding). Also brilliant that there are two cottages that can be rented at once for larger groups. We were a group of 11 so that was perfect. The cottages are a little rough around the edges and could use some upgrading in places which can’t really be seen from the photos. Bathroom extraction also not the best and bathroom lighting very dim, mattresses not comfiest in some rooms. A dressing table or two to allow someone to dry hair or put on makeup would be great. Whilst clean enough also not as clean as they could be. All in all great to be able to accommodate so many family near the wedding venue for an extended stay and friendly hosts but a bit of attention now needed to the properties.

We rented both cottages to spend some quality family time together with our children and grandchildren for my husbands 60th. Our stay exceeded expectation. Cottages, grounds, location were beautiful and would happily highly recommend. Owners provided lots of useful info and left some lovely local cider as a welcome gift

Beautiful Cottages

We have just returned from a lovely trip to celebrate my wife’s birthday with all the family. The cottages are beautiful and all the bedrooms have en-suite faculties. The gardens are great we didn’t want to leave. I must mention how helpful Lieven the owner was, nothing was a problem and he went beyond when I was trying to plan a surprise for my wife’s birthday. Great for families to gather or large groups.

Comfy and ideal for get togethers

We stayed here for 2 nights with family for a wedding close by and was absolutely ideal for us. Great to have all en suites, we got together in Lavender cottage in the evening and breakfasted together too. Clean and very comfortable and lovely view at the back. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottages

We stayed for two nights and it wasn't long enough! Lots of space. Beds were very comfortable. Ensuites in every room useful. Tile floors means kids mess easy to clean. Also like they provided good quality toiletries, all dishwashing items, foil, kitchen roll, cling film etc. Thoughtful. Tennis courts and garden beautiful. Already thinking of when we could come back! Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect cottages

We (6 adults and 6 children) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottages. It’s been such a smooth journey, easy to communicate and always quick to get a response. The cottages are so clean and very well decorated/ equipped, the tennis court is a bonus! Highly recommend!

Great long weekend at Woodland Cottages

The two adjacent cottages were clean and beautifully presented. They had enough crockery and cutlery to cope with a large group, and thoughtful touches like dishwasher tablets and clothes washing pods, tea, coffee and herbal tea bags were very useful. A nice welcome gift awaited us and the owners were ready to help with any problems. Overall, beautiful cottages and gardens which would love to return to at a later date.

Lovely accommodation, in a pretty setting, the grounds are beautiful and we all enjoyed our stay

Amazing Short Break

What can I say about this place that has not been said before? It's a wonderful place where you can switch off from the world. Plenty of space indoors. The outdoors is just brilliant. Plenty of space for the kids to play. A tennis court available for the adults. This is a place where if you want a relaxing getaway to enjoy with friends without distractions of the outside world then book this place!

Family Wedding Accommodation

Rosemary and Lavender are stylish, spacious and very well equipped bungalows. Everything is of an excellent standard. The gardens are beautiful and if you’re lucky with the weather, as we were, the tennis court and barbecues are a fantastic bonus. The rural location is very pretty and only a short drive from The Gardens in Yalding, where we attended a family wedding. Having both properties side by side enabled our large family group to stay together the night before the wedding and relax the day after. Tony and Caroline were very welcoming hosts and well organised. Everything you need is there. This is definitely a great place to stay!

We’ll equipped comfortable property

A lovely property for a large family party. Renting Lavender and Rosemary cottages was a great idea for a family party in the area for a wedding in the village of Yalding. We wished we had booked longer so we could have explored the area more. The cottages were well equipped with little touches like washing up liquid and hand soap at the sink. My grand daughter enjoyed the toys and the beautiful garden . My daughter enjoyed the tennis court. My only quibble is that I couldn’t find any lids to match the saucepans.

Fantastic

Stayed in both cottages with friends and they were absolutely fantastic. Both were modern, clean and very well equipped. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Finally Tony & Caroline couldn't be more accommodating, fabulous hosts. We all had an amazing time and would definitely recommend these properties.

Ideal place for us

We had a wonderful weekend with our wider family. My lovely mum in law is disabled and it was perfect for her in every way. All enquiries were dealt with extremely promptly and helpfully. The accommodation was spotless with everything we needed. We all loved the tennis courts, playing hide and seek in the gorgeous gardens. Perfect place for an Easter egg hunt too! Thank you so much.
