Great location

I really enjoyed my stay at Hillside Villa. The home was clean, well appointed and Denise and Rebecca were fantastic. The location is a short walk to the beach, private and has a fully equipped gym next door. I would recommend this spot.

Our return to Hillside Villa was amazing. As always there is everything you need both at the property and on the doorstep. Carol and Denise were excellent as always. Denise ensures that the property is sparking and that you have everything you need. Our second visit to the property will certainly not be our last.

Beautiful Property

The property was it is was described. We even had extra visitors to watch while in the pool, a family of monkeys traveled by. We ate out at night and never had to take a cab because of all of the nice restaurants in the area. Carol was extremely quick to answer any questions. The housekeeper is extremely helpful and even cooked some fish for a snack for us that we had caught on a fishing trip. I would highly recommend this property.

Tropical paradise

Our stay at Lime Grove was wonderful! The property is beautiful - about a 5 minute walk to the beach, with lovely grounds and a plunge pool. I had several changes/adjustments between when I booked and our stay and our host Carol was so responsive and accomodating, and the housekeeper, Denise was friendly and flexible and took great care of us! The house itself is gorgeous - brand new, bright, airy, nicely decorated and with everything we needed including reusable shopping bags for the grocery store just a quick walk away. The location is perfect - close to the beach, shopping, bars and restaurants but also far enough away that we weren't bothered by noise and had plenty of privacy. Barbados is a lovely island, the people are gracious and friendly. Highly recommend!

Epic Vacation 2023

Our vacation stay was fantastic !!! everything as described of the property was perfect for a family of four. I have to say the photos does not do the property justice. It is much better in person.We’ve been coming to Barbados for years now, but this vacation was the best. Your villa was perfect for us as a family and we enjoyed every bit of that property so much so we are looking to purchase, thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to stay at your place. Beautiful Villa and The Perfect Location!

We were a group of 6 adults and spent 8 nights at Groves Residences. Everything was perfect. The villa is even more impressive and luxurious than what you see on the photos/video. Everything you need to feel right at home and much more. Denise the housekeeper was great and Rebecca the property manager answered all our questions promptly and helpfully. Having explored most of the island during our vacation I have to say that Holetown is the best place to stay. Everything you need is there, from a supermarket, nice restaurants/bars, gas station, pharmacy, shopping and clean/beautiful/tranquil beaches. Also walking distance to catamaran/snorkeling services, scuba diving and other water sports. As for rum tasting I recommend visiting St. Nicholas Abbey (northeast of island) instead of Mount Gay Rum Distillery, the grounds are beautiful with lots of history and craft rum, also a short drive from there to Animal Flower Cave, which is a must see! Our group loved Barbados, the food, its friendly people and clean/beautiful beaches. We would definitely go back and stay at Carol's beautiful villa. We highly recommend it. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Great Property But Some Misrepresentations in listing

The property is very nice and both Denise the housekeeper and Rebecca the house manager were very helpful and I couldnt say enough good things about either. We stayed for 10 days at Christmas Week and as such paid double than what was normally offered and as such I didn't expect to be charged additional $$ when we actually used the extra bedrooms but the additional guests(3 kids for a total of 5) added another 15% to the bill. When that appeared in the contract we should have walked away from the listing as there are much better options for far less money in Holetown. The property is not 3 minutes from the Beach as advertised . According to Google it is an 8 minute walk(No water view BTW) The listing said that it is the only villa of the LimeGrove Villas that have air conditioning on all floors. While that may be correct, half of the buildings are not fully constructed. Moreover, her revised listing(1/20) indicates that they will not provide air conditioning on the 2nd floor and that the breeze will help. Why indicate is fully a/c when you wont turn it on? In reality, during our entire stay that floor never got below 27 degrees Celsius even on Christmas when the kids where opening their presents and during dinner. The owner controls the air remotely and would not accommodate our request to make our family time more comfortable The Level Up Health Club which has 5 pictures(10%) on the listing is not included in the price even though the listing in August 2019 indicated otherwise. The owner makes it abundantly clear with all their signs(restricting various uses) inside the townhouse that this is their residence, however, the lack of pots, pans, utensils, glassware and storage containers indicate otherwise. This is clearly an understocked rental. That being said this was the only request that they accommodated by buying more containers on our 2nd day. We own 3 rental properties(1 a second residence) and we have stayed at numerous rental properties throughout Europe and North America and was very disappointed on the deceptiveness of the listing and owner's lack of response.

Thank you for taking the time to write a “review” and for your booking. I’ve answered your points in the order raised: BOOKING RATE You booked during the Holiday Season. You were charged the seasonal rate per person. There was no additional fees for the bedrooms during your stay. HomeAway bookings are transparent so you know exactly how much you pay. If you could not afford the Holiday Rate, why did you accept the booking and not “walk away”, and book a cheaper option in Holetown for your very basic requirements? LOCATION It is clearly stated in the listing that Holetown Beach is “5-10 mins walk”. It took you 8 mins. What is your point here? Water view?? The listing does not mention a “water view”. AC It is clearly stated in the listing, and was explained in our pre-arrival messages, that there is NO AC on the 2nd level. GYM It is stated in the listing, and in our pre-arrival messages, that the gym “is on the grounds” and is “not part of the booking”. KITCHENWARE & “RESTRICTIONS” We have safety and usage signage in the propety and especially around the pool area - ie you ignored the under 12 age restriction and arrived with 2 under age children. The kitchen is sufficiently stocked for holiday makers. However our Villa Manager kindly provided you with storage containers - which you gifted yourself when you vacated?! IN A NUTSHELL Communication was extremely difficult and poor. You ignored important information, including our pre-arrival messages. Generally our guests provide honest and positive feedback. You clearly had a great time at the villa and are finding fault with misleading and petty issues that had no effect upon your stay, and would have been clear to you if you had taken the time to familiarise yourselves with the listing. Our unique, luxury home is marketed to attract the right people. Once again thank you, and all the best!

The Hillside Villa was everything that the listing outlined and more. It was very clean when we arrived. The villa was equipped with everything that we need for our stay. It was more then spacious for four adults, each having a large bedroom and space to hang out on their own, if they so desired. The location was fabulous. It is easy walking distance to the grocery store, numerous restaurants and the beach. The area was close to everything yet very quiet during the evenings. We would definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful modern townhouse in an excellant location!

We spent 10 days here with another couple which we thoroughly enjoyed. The Villa was clean, spacious and ultra modern with everything you needed to hand.It is close to everything with only a short walk to the supermarket, beaches,restaurants and shops. The villa was beautifully kept and Denise the housekeeper greeted us with some lovely rum punch on our arrival but also came twice more to keep everything up to scratch and nothing was too much trouble. Rebecca the house manager came and met us too to make sure everything was running smoothly, she was charming and gave us lots of information on local events and was only a phone call away if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend the villa and would say it is the very best location for seeing the whole of beautiful Barbados.

SIMPLY PERFECT!!!

My family and I stayed at Hillside Villas for our long awaited return to the beautiful island of Barbados. It had been 9 years since our previous visit to the island where my husband and I married. Having previously stayed at a superior all-inclusive hotel, we decided to this time rent our own property and were certainly not disappointed!! The property was perfect in every way!! Location, style, cleanliness, facilities……. you name it - it had it! Having a (very mature for his age) six year old with us was not a problem. He (like the rest of us) loved the pool and outdoor facilities as well as having access to the Wi-Fi and many TV channels when we wanted to escape the heat. Even the odd visit by the local monkeys proved entertaining. As mentioned above the location was perfect. The villa is within easy walking distance of the beautiful beaches, the supermarket, duty free shopping and our regular stop of the West Bar in the Limegrove Centre. The whole area felt very safe and secure and we were happy to walk around day and night. Taxis were able to locate us easily and also the parking facilities on site meant that we could hire a car for the week and explore the island further. Before I forget I should give a special mention to Denise the housekeeper who was simply lovely and very helpful, as well as to Carol the owner who responded very quickly to my numerous queries before we arrived. I think there is nothing more to be said than we will certainly not only visit Barbados again, but would consider staying nowhere else when we do! You cannot beat perfection!

Amazing Property in an ideal location, its peaceful, beautiful, and immaculate internally.

Me and my three friends really enjoyed our stay at this modern Hillside Villa near the limegrove centre, everything was provided with the property that one would need on a day to day basis, the owners, house keeper, and management were kind and very helpful from start till we left. Villa is walking distance to the local Massy super store and limegrove shopping mall. The beach is also walking distance. We could not have asked for anything better. Great vacation.

30th bday/girls trip

My stay at hillside villas exceeded expectations. The home and location were perfect! We started each morning in the plunge pool and hung out on the balcony most nights. The beach, high end shopping, and nightlife are seriously only a few minutes walk away. This helped to keep taxi costs at a minimum. It was also nice to be able to walk home from the bar. I especially enjoyed the staff. They took care of us at the property and throughout Barbados. Ms Juliet, the property manager, was SO helpful and nice. She even surprised me with a birthday cake and a special surprise at Harbour lights for my birthday dinner. I lost my phone in a taxi and everyone was super helpful in recovering it. Even before I arrived Carol had helped me with transportation, groceries, and other questions that I had about the area. I really felt safe staying at hillside villas and if I make it back to Barbados I will make sure to stay here again! Thank you for a great 30th birthday and girls trip! We had a blast!
