Located in a Historic District on the Slope above Downtown San Diego, this highly upgraded 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom completely private unit within a beautiful and historically designated Queen Ann Victorian building. No expense was spared in the design of this highly upgraded home which accommodates up to 2 guests. The living area features high ceilings, gorgeous hardwood floors, LED smart TV, dining table and chairs framed by multiple windows. The kitchen is beautifully designed with granite counters, accent cabinet lights, microwave, gas stove, refrigerator and everything you will need to cook complete meals during your stay with us. The bathroom has high ceilings and is equipped with plenty of towels. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a blow dryer are all provided. The bedroom features a Queen bed, mirrored closet wardrobe doors, LED Smart TV, ceiling fan and air conditioners. The bed has memory foam mattress. Both TV’s have streaming capability. This unit also features a private patio with Patio Table, Umbrella and chairs as well as a barbecue grill. Additional items provided to our guests include beach chairs, beach towels, a boogie board, lighted make-up mirror, an iron and ironing board and a high chair for the little ones. The unit is beautifully decorated with furniture and drapes of modern classic design. The property is located 5 minutes driving distance to the Convention Center, Gas Lamp district, Ball Park, Coronado Island, the Airport, Balboa Park and the Zoo. Freeway access is located around the corner and bus stop transits to and from downtown are located within a block of the property and local beaches are within easy driving distance. Some of Golden Hill’s most popular spots such as the Turf Club, Panchitas Bakery, Krakatoa Coffee Shop, Luigi's Pizza and Golden Hill Park are within walking distance. Additional features in the common areas include a Barbecue Grill, Gazebo with table and chairs and a Fire Pit with wood provided. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee and city views from the patio table and chairs provided on the front porch. Grill your favorite foods on a gourmet barbecue and relax with dinner under a lighted Gazebo. Share the day’s events and memories of your experiences in San Diego with your favorite beverage by the warmth of the fire pit. There is an on-site coin operated laundry facility. I grew up in Northampton Massachusetts, a town with countless beautiful old homes and lots of woods. I spent countless days in my youth building tree forts never knowing that those 2 dynamics would intersect at this point. Upon arriving in San Diego with an interest in building and purchasing real estate, I became immediately interested in the largely neglected Victorian buildings in this area of town. This property became a labor of love for me many years ago and I hope that legacy will be carried forward by my 3 sons. My wife if Japanese, so our family often divides our time between 2 very different worlds, both with much to offer.
