Elegant, comfortable, private, and a fabulous pool

We were very lucky to have booked this lovely 'casseta' at the last minute when another VRBO property fell through. What a lucky accident! The location in Mondello--suburban Palermo, a straight shot up hill from Mondello Beach--was terrific, and the gated property so quiet and peaceful you feel as if you are far from the city. The cassetta is light, airy, clean, with great AC, good beds, a big well-equipped kitchen, smart-TV, and a beautiful view of the outdoor space--enormous pool, shady patio area, outdoor cabana with shower, all beautifully landscaped and well tended, --is paradise. The owner's house is next door but you will enjoy complete privacy. He was kind, responded quickly to our questions, and we appreciated the breakfast provisions left for us. The only downside was having no washing machine, and we could have used a broom, and some poor bees drown in the pool in the late afternoon. But other than that: perfect. It's a great base from which to explore western Sicily...but you won't want to leave!

Beautiful villa with pool very close to Palermo and Mondello beach

Ada and her family gave us a warm welcome. The house was just perfect to our family of four (two adults and two teenagers). Has two bedrooms and two bathrooms (including a pool shower for two). The villa is located on a private and gated estate. The very big pool and outside area was just fabulous. The house is only a few minutes by car to the beach in Mondello and less than 10 minutes to the center of Palermo. Cefalù is one hour away. Even though Ada and her family live in the house next to the villa it felt all private. And they were very helpful whenever we had any questions. We would recommend this to anyone who wish to stay in northern Sicily.

Bellissima, Non si poteva chiedere di più

La descrizione della casa è accurata e risponde perfettamente al vero, la casa era pulita e accessoriata di tutto, anche tanti libri gialli, a cui ho ottinto per le mie letture in spiaggia.Volendo si potrebbe aggiungere una lavatrice, che non c'era (ma giustamente non era indicata nelle forniture). Una delle camere da letto aveva il letto da 120 cm, non sufficiente per 2 adulti, pertanto ci hanno fornito subito un letto singolo supplementare. Devo dire che non l'avrei scelta se lo avessi letto nell'annuncio e mi sarei persa una favolosa vacanza ! I proprietari erano veramente squisiti e ci hanno fornito parecchi suggerimenti su luoghi da visitare e sui migliori ristoranti di Mondello. Siamo stati ospiti sia del Circolo del tennis (dove abbiamo cenato molto bene varie volte e ad ottimi prezzi) , che al loro punto mare situato sugli scogli di Mondello, ma con zone a prato attrezzate con sdraio, ombrelloni, bar, spogliatoi, bagnini e accesso al mare attrezzato con scalette e piattaforme. Bellissimo ! La consiglio vivamente e ringrazio i proprietari per l'ottima ospitalità.
