1830's Village Farmhouse - Shared Pool, Games Barn, Leisure Field. Beach 30 mins

La Fermette France is one of a cluster of 4 character gites in South Western France..

The old farmhouse is full of character with huge original Charentaise fireplaces , original wooden floors throughout, oak beams, and exposed stone walls.

It’s quirky layout includes a ground floor double bedroom with open plan ensuite bathroom with fab roll top bath.

The large family kitchen with 5 ring hob and oven, hob kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine, and large farmhouse table that seats up to 10!.
The huge sitting room has two comfy settees anda door to the garden. The TV (UK Freeview channels) and DVD player are hidden discreetly in a corner cupboard. There is a good selection of DVD's and books for all ages, small toys and crayons.

The family shower room is on the ground floor (ideal if you have difficulty with stairs).

A beautiful artisan made oak staircase leads from the salon to a large landing bedroom with 3 single beds and a door providing access to the large master bedroom with comfortable king size bed and en suite toilet (great for those night time trips to the loo). As there are 3 single beds in the first floor bedroom, we are able to cater for families with 3 children who all prefer to sleep in the same room. We can also accommodate to 2 babies in a cots -which we can provide on a complementary basis.

In the garden is a charcoal BBQ plus tables, chairs and parasol, and when the sun is too hot to sit outside there is an open barn opposite providing welcome shade for dining. The open barn is exclusive to the farmhouse (and not shared with other guests).

You also have access to the 10m x 5m shared pool, and games barn with table tennis, table football, a selection of adult and children's bikes, 2 body boards and bats and balls for the beach, plus some large toys. Behind the farmhouse is a leisure field with boules pitch and picnic bench where you can relax with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down over the fields beyond, or let the children run around to tire themselves out before bedtime. We encourage our guests to pick any fruits in season - cherries, peaches, pears, figs quince and walnuts.

All our gites at LaFermetteFrance have a beach umbrella and a cool bag with picnic plates, cutlery and freezer blocks. Pool/beach towels are not provided however, we appreciate that they take up valuable luggage space so if you prefer not to bring them with you they can be hired from us for a small fee (4 euros per towel per stay to cover laundry).

Baby and toddler equipment is available on request at no charge - high chair, booster seat, travel cot, changing mat, toilet training seat, toilet step etc., just ask.



There is ample space for social distancing as each gite has it's own separate garden, there is both hard standing and a large lawn around the swimming pool, and the leisure field provides even more space .

The Farmhouse has very generous sized rooms so it's big enough for families holidaying together, although it's also possible to book any of our other gites too if you prefer.

Please note that we are flexible with arrival and departure days so that you can take advantage of cheaper mid week ferry fares and flights, as long as you stay for a minimum of 5 nights in the Farmhouse. Our nearest ferry port is St Malo (4 hours drive) whilst Caen and Le Havre avre are around 6 hours and Calais 8 hours+ . Bordeaux and La Rochelle airports are 1 hrs drive.

Sorry, but we do not accept pets of any kind for the comfort of other guests who may have allergies .
