Absolutely beautiful and peaceful place. Exactly what we needed! As for the people and the property- above and beyond! The place was extremely clean. The owners have a really nice restaurant just up the street. Amazing food and coffee. Thank you guys and see you again soon!!
The cabin was incredible. Everything was top notch i would recommend everyone wanting a private relaxing time to stay here. We will definitely be returning.
My husband & I stayed at the Long X Cabin for our Anniversary Sept. 22nd 2023. The cabin itself was cozy & relaxing. When we walk into to the cabin, a bottle of wine was waiting for us for our anniversary.
Thank you Alison.
The outside was so peaceful. Drinking our coffee on the porch and listening to the birds. We took a walk down to the creek, that in itself was beautiful. That evening we made a fire outside in the firepit, we even had s'mores...
I told my husband, this is just what we needed, could not ask for a better weekend.
It was like having a slice of heaven right here in Cherryville Mo....
Thank you..
P.S. We will be back, but this time with our family and Grandkids..
Beautiful setting and very comfortable cabin. Grocery store just down the hill in Cherryville for everything you need and lots of recreation areas and state parks within an easy drive. I enjoyed a trail run through Onondaga Cave State Park and lots of time out on the cabin deck relaxing.
The cabin was secluded enough for a romantic getaway. My husband and I were glad to have driven his truck because we got lost on the way and drove toward a creek.. had we taken our car we would have gotten stuck! We asked a kind family which way to go and they helped. If you drive down toward the lodge, know it looks like a house lol!
The bath fits 2 adults easily. They had bubble bath there ready to use, plenty of towels, dishes, simple seasonings to cook with, and some games to play. The one thing we were missing was a coffee pot! They had a single serve Keurig but no coffee pot :(
Be sure to grab a rock and sign it! Also write about your stay in the journal; some cute entries are in there!
We will definitely be going back!
Love it it was a great place would love to see it when the leaves are changing
Loved it but no internet service and need a bigger sign by the highway of the cabin name plus the name of the place didn't say it the internet just the name of the cabin
This property is as advertised. Great spot away from the world. Cabin was perfect for what we needed. We spent most of the days on the front porch listening to the rain and enjoying nature. We will be back for sure!
Very quiet, calm, and enjoyable. Our cabin was secluded from other cabins. Probably the cleanest place I've ever stayed! There is no cell reception in the cabin, but it's available if you drive up to the main area.
The cabin was perfect and decorated so neatly! It was very private and in a beautiful location near a pretty creek. We enjoyed getting out and touring the scenic roads. A surprise stop at Mary’s Valley Meat processing for an amazing ribeye we grilled at the cabin was also a highlight. And all of the personalized rocks at the cabin we’re such an inspiration. We were excited to celebrate our 25th anniversary where so many others had! We highly recommend this property!!
This place was amazing. It was exactly what my husband and I were needing. The cabin we stayed at had an amazing forest view and size was perfect. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi very much. It has everything for a get away retreat. I also loved the notebook they keep at the cabin with wonderful thank you notes and great stories from people who had great experiences.

Comforting, cozy getaway
The cabin was an excellent place to unplug, get away from the high stresses of society, and have plenty of self-preservation time. There was practically everything you needed already furnished, thus making packing quite simple. We will definitely be back to enjoy the property in the upcoming warmer months.

Very enjoyable stay in a lovely area near a variety of MO state parks
Very much enjoyed our stay in Alison's cabin. Cabin was very clean and well appointed. Alison was quickly responsive to any of our questions that arose. Would highly recommend a stay for folks traveling in this area who want to "get away from it all".

An amazing getaway!!
This cabin is perfect in every way: Charming, secluded, well-designed, romantic, spotlessly clean, well-managed. I would go on but I'm running out of adjectives! My girlfriend and I needed a romantic getaway for a few days and this cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It can be tough to design a cabin that feels authentically "rustic" but is also modern (in the sense of having updated bathroom and kitchen features). This cabin strikes that balance perfectly. Alison (the host) was awesome and easy to work with. We HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this cabin.
P.S. The (very) small town of Steelville is about a 15 minute drive away, which is just right--close enough in case you need to make a run for groceries but far enough away so you feel like you're out in the country. Among its pleasures is a perfectly preserved 1950's-style ice cream parlor, a fudge shop, and a great place for burgers. And of course tons of places for float trips.
