This cabin is so cozy and perfect for a getaway. It is close to a nice gravel bar where you can get the river. The hot tub was already warmed up and ready to use. They provide a full kitchen with any dishes you need. We highly recommend Ellen’s!

The cabin was nice, we appreciated that it had 2.5 bathrooms. We were originally going to float the river but ended up staying in the cabin all weekend due to rain and found it to have everything we needed.

I don’t write reviews very often, but this place absolutely deserves one. We had such a wonderful stay. It was even more beautiful than we imagined, and the pictures online honestly don’t do it justice. From drinking our morning coffee while listening to all the different birds to relaxing in the hot tub after a day of exploring, every moment felt peaceful.It was the perfect place to slow down and recharge, and being just a short drive from the river made it even better. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature, I can’t recommend this place enough. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already hoping we can come back someday.

Spent a weekend with friends for a local festival. Plenty of room for socializing and 4 rooms for sleeping and privacy. Large front porch was awesome place for morning coffee and sunset happy hour. Living room offered additional location for gathering. The half bath was a convenience on main floor. We did not have the opportunity to to enjoy the hot tub or fire pit but looked like another place to gather. Very private and quiet weekend!

I was looking for calm and out of the way that could accommodate my four legged girls that had some normal comforts of home. Bingo. And after a long day of activities the next morning walking up to a hot tub that feels like your in the trees was icing on top. We'll be back.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the location, along with its proximity to Cuba, Steelville, and Lindberg Lane (location of the former family farm). We didn't take advantage of the hot tub because it didn't fit into our schedule. The TV and the WIFi worked fine. The only downside was that we didn't find the upstairs (loft?) bed very comfortable because the mattress tended to sag in the middle, especially on the first night. It also would have been helpful to know that body soap and shampoo would not be available in the showers. One of our party especially appreciated and took advantage of the availability of the washer-drier in the basement.

The cabin was stunning, even looked better than the photos. The hot tub was much larger than the one in the photos and was amazing. We absolutely loved it and plan on coming back annually.

Host was attentive as needed and amenities were great! It was wonderful that wood was supplied, however, it would have been nice if it was closer to the fire pit. Cabin was very clean and comfy and cozy as well as spacious enough for 6 ladies to enjoy a great time.
