A Comfy Country Cabin 
A huge, covered patio area greets you when you arrive, outfitted with lots of chairs for dining alfresco or simply sittin’ round and chattin’. The hot tub is out here too, and the twinkle lights at night allow for late nights grilling fresh 4J Cattle Farm steaks and dining out under the stars. Once inside, the living area includes a corner fireplace and overstuffed dark leather furniture facing a large HDTV that’s perfect for a family movie night.

An Eat-In Kitchen
In the country kitchen, you’ll find a gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. Open shelving and plenty of counter space hold the dishware and the premier drip coffee maker. A farmhouse dining table sits in the middle of the kitchen, creating the perfect spot to sip coffee and nibble on some bacon and eggs for breakfast.

Loved the location, very peaceful . great place to stay and still not far from attractions. Loved the hot tub!!!! Wifi worked great, plenty to watch on the t.v, even though we only watched tv one nite. Played cards under the big covered porch, will highly recommend this place to others. Jessica you was a very good host, any time i had questions you got right back with me. Thank you!!!

About the host

This idyllic location has been in my family for five generations. Originally purchased by my great-great-grandfather, my great-grandfather was born in the original farmhouse. Then my grandmother, her twin sister, my own mother, and I were all lucky enough and blessed to have grown up cradled within this picturesque and peaceful piece of land.
Excited and inspired to share our love of this land with others, my husband Justin and I started 4J Vacation Rentals in 2020 with two homes— Country Cabin & Hillside— that were each built and lived in by my grandparents and my great-grandmother. In 2021, we purchased the neighboring 16 acres and 4 cabins— Dogwood, Sassafras, Copperstone, and Murphy’s Retreat— that overlook the Meramec River, and our vision of sharing this land was magnified and expanded beyond our wildest dreams.
Additionally, Justin and I also run a nearby cattle farm, and my mom and I have started a non-profit equine therapy practice for those with special needs. Justin and I have two kids who love to run around and explore the surrounding rolling hills and sparkling riverbed, just like I did when I was a kid, and my mom did before me.
This land is a magical place we so enjoy sharing— and seeing guests like you fall in love with it is such a rewarding feeling. Waking up to see the morning sunrise through the mist as it rises off the Meramec River Valley is a truly spiritual experience— one that will effortlessly bring you the serenity and tranquility you crave, and that are so lacking in the world today. Country Cabin is one of our most popular cabins. This 3 bed 2 bath cabin was built by my Grandpa so it holds a special place in my heart. The spacious covered carport with old barn tin ceiling and 6 person hot tub is the perfect place to relax with friends and family.
