The apartment was clean, and the terrace provided a nice view, and privacy. You could open both of the doors to let the fresh air in. My only complaint is that the bedroom was not as described. It was a very dark room, with no windows that allowed any light, and the mattress is a bit soft. If you like dark bedrooms, than all is ok. The only other note is that you need to carry bags up 72 stairs. If you don’t have a heavy bag, no problem, if you do, be forewarned.
After climbing the 74 stairs (we had already been stair-training in Amalfi and Vieste..!), we were charmed by the apartment; clean, comfortable, well-appointed, but the terrace sealed the deal! Having coffee in the morning, watching the fog lift over the valley, then closing the day with a nightcap and the company of the full moon over the church created a dream state in which we enjoyed our days in Siena.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
The most egregious issue was the hot water system only allowed for a half of one hot shower. Less than 5 minutes, you run out of hot water. When we requested it to be addressed we were told we had to wait for it to heat up again which doesn’t work when you are standing there, soaking wet, waiting more than an hour for possibly hot water. When I requested for the tank temperature to be increased (which looked possible on the tank) we were then ghosted by the host. When we communicated with VRBO, they said, and I quote, “hot water was not listed in the amenities “. Second issue, the washer did not operated correctly. It left the clothes absolutely sopping wet so the clothes poured all over the apartment walking for the dirty closet through the apartment to the balcony. The location of the washer is across the hall in the cleaning closet which was NOT clean. Reaching over the dirty mop and bucket and vacuum was gross. Third issue, the ac was anemic. Good luck in the summer. Be aware you are badically climbing 4-5 stairwells to the apartment. Mattresses are not comfortable. Two items that were nice, location and the balcony, otherwise I’d pass on this place.
We spent 4 nights in this small apartment in Siena in July. The property manager met us at the apartment and led us in. She was quite helpful, explaining how things functioned in the apartment. We were provided a city map which was useful. The kitchen sink and stove were much smaller than they appeared online and not conducive to cooking / preparing anything as the counter was only one foot deep and not very wide. Basically you could make a coffee or a tea but even doing the few dishes was a challenge. It was a heat wave so having air conditioning was essential, particularly as we were on the fourth floor. The AC was not on when we arrived and the apartment barely cooled down by evening. We had to keep the blinds closed at all times to get the place to cool down. The balcony was the best part of the apartment as it looked out onto the countryside and was often in shade. Great to sit outside in the evening. The laundry is not in the apartment itself but in the hallway in a small room which was fine, but the machine itself wasn’t working very well. We gave up and wrung the clothes out by hand. The clothes drying rack was unfortunately broken and we had to prop it up to be able to use it. The shower, blow dryer, stove and fridge all worked well. The hot water heater was also very good. Overall, a decent place to stay if you don’t have heavy bags, it is in a great location and has key amenities.
Could not have asked for a better view of beautiful Siena!
Check in was a breeze! Apartment is the perfect size and layout for a couple. It would have been a perfect stay if it had had a surface cleaning before we arrived and a few more essential cooking utensils. There is nothing but a sigh when I think about the terrace view...beautiful.

Nice enough
This apartment is actually 5 floors up, they don't count the first floor. The drain in the bathroom was completely clogged and we had to use towels to clean up the water. The owner was responsive and sent a plumber when we called. The problem was fixed but the smell from the drain persisted for the next day. The bedroom furnishings were shabby at best and the furniture in general needed to be replaced. I have stayed in many VRBO apartments and I have never written a negative review but the cost of this apartment far exceeded my expectations.

Trendy and comfortable
The view from the terrace is spectacular! We enjoyed sitting out with our wine, olives, meats and cheese. Upscale atmosphere in a great location blocks from the cathedral, steps away from great gelato, morning coffee, a small grocery, laundromat and the best rated pizza/ciacceria on your doorstep.
