Your family reunion, rehearsal dinner, or small wedding event up to 50 total are a perfect fit for making memories at Pine Tree Park.
Your family will create many lasting memories as you have your rehearsal dinner in the barn, your intimate wedding in the large backyard, or your family meals and post-nuptial brunch in the gourmet gkitchen/great room on the picnic tables on the covered wraparound porch. The early risers will enjoy having coffee on the rocking chairs on the front porch. The cooks in the group will enjoy preparing meals in the huge, well stocked, gourmet kitchen. and the "grill-masters" will have a fun time grilling and pellet-smoking your family meals while playing cornhole, horseshoes, or just hanging out with the other family and friends around the hot-tub or picnic tables. Preparing and enjoying meals yourselves on the property makes for a memorable bonding experience which also saves a lot of cost vs restaurants. BYO is encouraged but we do coordinate with your caterers and bartenders if you prefer.
If smaller groups want to break up to have private conversations, they will like the front porch with the rocking chairs, the large living room, kitchen area, picnic tables in the yard, Adirondack chairs around the gas fire pit, in the barn, or the 6 to 8 person hot tub with provided towels. There are also several hiking trails with great views within walking distance of the Lodge.
Having time to hang out with your friends and family in a casual atmosphere creates strong bonds and lasting memories. Cornhole, Disc Golf, horseshoes, tetherball, badminton, croquet, etc. while cooking, grilling, and barbecuing meals makes for a really nice family gathering.

Your Host – John Hermanussen
After Graduating from CU Boulder and beginning my career as an engineer, I started following in my parents’ footsteps with traditional unfurnished rentals in the Golden/Lakewood area. Eventually, I graduated to building new homes and even one mixed use condo building. As the market tanked around 2008, I got into fix-n-flips and managed to keep a few of those as rentals.
When my 2 sons went off to college, it made sense to help pay their college bills by renting out our family home. Since it sits in the middle of 8 different wedding venues on Lookout Mountain and there’s not much lodging or hotels nearby, Brides and Grooms and their parents started booking it, and the cabins on the property, for long weekends and having a place to hang out with their families in a casual atmosphere.
In 2017 we had the idea of clearing out the barn and opening it up for rehearsal dinners, family reunions, and charity events which was perfect! We worked with Tim, Julie, Ton, Erin, Shelby, Theo, Bryce, and Brent on decorating, setting up, and upgrading everything to make it even better for the families. Now, it’s a great place for families to set up headquarters for a big wedding reception at the nearby venues with the rehearsal dinner, after wedding brunch/BBQ party, family dinners, and just making s’mores around the fire pit at the Colorado Lodge/Barn/Picnic Grounds/Recreation Area.
The best part about working with wedding families is that we get to meet people from all over the country and world. It’s such a happy time for them that it’s contagious It makes us happy too.
It's just so nice to help families while their family gets bigger, and bonds together, and they create lifelong memories. With warm wishes for a happy life together, John Hermanussen and the TogetherInColorado Team 303-223-9753( main) 303 215 0296 (cell)

Why they chose this property
Perfectly suited for large families and small events. We do everything we can to make it the best place it can be for families to bond together during the special times of their lives. Recently, we've upgraded our cleaning and disinfecting process to waht we call EXTRACLEAN+
What is EXTRACLEAN+ Service?
-Upgraded disinfectant spray cleaners and wipes used before, during, and after normal cleaning.
-Disinfect lockboxes, doorknobs, remotes, appliances, counters, furniture, and floors.
-Clean and disinfect fabric surfaces.
-All Linens washed hot and with extra detergent and/or bleach.
-Provide extra mattress and pillow encasements for all the mattresses and pillows.
-If we have a same day turnover, we ventilate with a whole house fan or evaporative cooler and use UV-C disinfecting lights before and after cleaning to give that extra layer of disinfection that we and our more vulnerable guests prefer.
-Provide extra antibacterial hand soap, disinfecting spray cleaner, and paper towels for guests to use during their stay.
-Remote (lockbox) check-in and we cover instructions for any amenities like fire pits, dance barn/events, trash, hot tubs, HVAC, Internet, parking, etc. via phone call or facetime/zoom remote meetings.
Rural, rustic setting. It blends the amenities of a luxury home with the feel of camping in the woods but it's only about 5 minutes from the edge of the Denver Metro Area. You can cook like a gourmet or roast marshmallows and make s'mores over the fire pit. You can ski at Vail, Breckenridge, Loveland... or play horseshoes and cornhole in the backyard. Hike, Bike, snowshoe at Apex Park about 1/3 mile up the road. Drop into Denver for more activities than we can even mention here. Head up into the mountains for even more activities and fun. It's a wonderful place to live or visit with over 300 days of sunshine every year. The Colorado Lodge at Pine Tree Park invites you to consider it YOUR home, even if it's only for a few days.
