We are located on Abingdon Road, London W8, one of London's premier addresses, and near neighbours to William & Kate (and George, Charlotte and Louis) who have moved in down the road. Abingdon Road is a peaceful and quiet street despite being minutes from the centre of things.
If you do not know London well, the old mantra of 'Location, Location, Location' means a great deal in this city. Also look carefully at the size of your rental. Spending a week in a tiny studio apartment or even a small one-bedder can prove to be a little miserable. We are fortunate in being able to offer our guests much more room than most, plus a gorgeous terrace.
We attach great store to what our guests tell us. In fact we are fortunate to have many reviews left by our guests.
We are proud of our apartment; and want you to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible, so we have tried to think of everything. The apartment is located one up from ground and is the entire floor of a converted Victorian house. There is no elevator, but the 15 or so stairs are not taxing.
We have a comfortable UK king size bed (150x200cm) with a luxurious Hypnos mattress and we believe in providing the finest Egyptian cotton sheets, which get many a favourable comment from our guests. The bedroom faces the gardens at the rear to ensure that even the lightest sleepers get a good night's sleep.
We have some great local restaurants (check out The Abingdon and W8 Kitchen) and a range of excellent supermarkets within a few minutes walk (Waitrose, Whole Foods etc).
You can also easily walk to High Street Kensington underground station (about 7 mins), the Royal Holland & Hyde Parks, Marks and Spencer, Kensington Palace, or just about any store that you might need.
We are also conveniently located for the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, the Albert Hall, the National Gallery and the principal sites of London (Buckingham Palace, the Eye, Theatres, The Tate, The Thames Walk etc).
London's newest museum, the Design Museum, is a short walk from our apartment - with 10,000 square feet of spectacular space and a permanent collection (to which entry is free) of over 1,000 objects in a wide variety of exhibits from the world of architecture and design.
As a result most of our guests are regular visitors, often people who are staying for longer and find regular holiday apartments too confined. We are also very popular with honeymoon couples.
Wherever possible we provide a personal check-in so that we can orientate you to the area and help you plan the best way to make the most of your stay. And if you need us, we are at the end of a phone.
Our conservatory has blackout blinds the bathroom features a fabulous overhead rain shower. We also have a flat screen TV and a desk full of London guides and information.
You may have heard that London has a cycle hire scheme - a great way to get around the centre (just ask Arnold Schwartzenegger) – and we have three docking stations within a couple of minutes walk
Plus we can help with cars from the airport, theatre bookings and restaurants etc.
We very much look forward to welcoming you and making your stay in London as comfortable as possible.

This was a fantastic location to spend a week — just a few blocks from the Kensington High Street station made for easy access to all of London. Nice, light filled apartment with all of the promised amenities. MArk and Sophie were super easy to communicate with and were responsive to our messages via WhatsApp. Would stay here again!
The flat was very clean and looked just like it did in the pictures. The friendly host met us upon arrival and walked us through the particulars of the flat. The AC in the bedroom has been updated since the pictures were taken and it is excellent. If you like a very firm bed, this flat is for you. The linens are lovely. The bedroom has ample storage for your clothing should you choose to unpack for your stay. There are several outstanding restaurants nearby and markets from which to buy essentials and food. Sunday lunch at Kitchen W8 was a highlight of our dining experiences. We recommend this flat as the location is near to both Holland and Hyde Parks, and an easy walks to the tube and bus stops.
We stayed at the Kensington Roof Garden for three weeks. It was the perfect accommodation for us - very comfortable open floor plan, clean, quiet, lots of light, and the location could not have been better. The tube is a 10 minute walk, and the parks to the east and west were a lovely diversion from city life. Walks around the "hood" included almost every type of upscale retail outlet as well as excellent restaurants - even a fresh flower stall at the end of the street! The roof terrace was a welcome addition to our stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom large and modern. The bed was comfortable and reading lights were helpful. Our hosts were readily available if needed.
What a great place to stay! The hosts were great and even checked in on me to make sure all was well. The flat is very clean and has all the amenities you could want. Centrally located in London to get anywhere you want easily. Not only do I highly recommend this location and the hosts but I’ll definitely be back here! Thanks for everything.
My husband and I were visiting our daughter studying abroad and living in Kensington, so we opted to stay close by. What an amazing location!! A short walk to NottingHill, shopping and exquisite restaurants as well as Kensington Gardens and the Natural History Museum. Easy access to the Tube to enjoy Central London and all it has to offer. Mark was very communicative prior and during our stay and the apartment was well appointment, light filled with comfy furniture to relax after a day of exploring. It was really nice to get away from the tourist areas and enjoy true London living amongst locals. I can’t say enough about the amazing restaurants to choose from, pristine neighborhoods and if you like to cook, we did not, Whole Foods is a fairly short walk. Absolutely loved our stay!
Fantastic apartment just off Kensington High Street. Very easy walk to tube station and bus stop. Owners were lovely to deal with and the apartment was beautifully appointed. Cafe below plus Kitchen W8 and Raj of Kensington. Would definitely stay again!
Fabulous to meet Sophia and get a chance to have her explain the delightful flat to me upon check in. The flat is in one of my favourite neighbourhoods and it was quiet and very well stocked and extremely comfortable and clean.
I can not say enough kind things about Mark. They met us there on arrival, and were accommodating with getting us in early. Even when the internet stopped working, he brought us a new router! Truly a wonderful experience!
Absolutely wonderful flat with the best hosts (Mark & Sophie). Mark was there to meet us upon our arrival to make sure we settled in well. The location is perfect. We were there 2 weeks and only wish it could have been so much longer.
Kensington Roof Garden was a perfect location. Just off Kensington High Street but also quiet. The flat was comfortable and well maintained. We liked the layout and the patio was wonderful. The only concern for some may be the short flight of stairs. The hosts were attentive and welcoming.
10/10 stay. Mark was absolutely wonderful and the flat was perfect. We love London and are frequent visitors. Kensington is our favorite neighborhood and we found our favorite place to stay. Comfortable, clean, every amenity you can think of. It’s the type of place I would buy - and that is the ultimate seal of approval. Highly recommended: Kitchen W8 downstairs. We enjoyed a very special meal there and it was worth every penny. Also recommended: excellent shops in the neighborhood, Holland Park, and a short walk to the Tube. The #9 bus on the High Street will take you right to the center of the city. There wasn’t one thing to find fault with. Reserve if you can!
Spacious flat with modern kitchen incl dishwasher and clothes washer.
Very clean with nice bright bathroom. AC worked well in bedroom but the main room gets warm when it’s sunny since it’s west facing. Mark was super responsive to a few things and made our stay excellent.
Outstanding communication with the property owner before and during the stay. Everything was exactly as pictured and described. We loved the location, with easy access to bus lines and tubes. Will definitely be our london lodging of choice anytime we are in the city.
Fabulous location, very clean with all the goodies you require for a comfortable stay. Mark was excellent and very attentive with any questions. Would absolutely recommend.
Mark was very responsive and helpful with checking in and out. Everything in the unit was as described. It was comfortable and well decorated. We had a heat spell so the a/c in the bedroom was helpful. Very good location near restaurants and tube station. The rooftop deck was very nice in the evening. We enjoyed our time there very much!
