In the heart of the historical city centre of Paternò, 15 mn away from Catania and Mount Etna, a bright panoramic attic with 180° breath-taking sight on the splendid historical hill of the town, Norman castle, Simeto river valley and Mount Etna. A 50 square meters terrace with barbecue. All the flat is furnished in typical Sicilian style and surrounded by picture windows that allow to enjoy the sight from every part. A double bed room and a living-room with kitchen equipped with a comfortable sofa bed for a total of 3-4 persons. A private bathroom with shower.
The origins of Paternò are old. They date back to a period before Antic Greece . The historical city centre is rich of Norman period monuments. On the hill, among others, you can find the castle constructed by Roger 2nd in 1072 and Santa Maria di Josaphat church built by countess Adele in 1092. In the lower part of the city, you can find the crenelated tower of the falconers (14th C.), Santa Barbara church, the Pantheon and others baroque monuments.

Leider viel zu laut

die Wohnung an sich ist top, jedoch ist die Straße vorm Haus stark befahren und man hört ständig das Beschleunigen von Autos und Rollern. Zudem war auf dem Dorfplatz nebenan von Donnerstag bis Sonntag jeden Abend bis 2 Uhr nachts Party mit lauten Bassboxen. Wäre alles erträglich, wenn die Fenster wenigstens ein bisschen isoliert wären oder schließen würden! Sonntagmorgens um 7:30 Uhr wurden für 20 Minuten sehr laut die Rohre durchgespült und danach hat die nahegelegene Kirchturmuhr ständig geschlagen. Man braucht einen schnellen und tiefen Schlaf oder zumindest Ohropax! Message an die Eigentümer: baut bessere Fenster ein! Gastronomisch gab es im Ort leider doch weniger Restaurants. Entgegen der Google-Aussage hatten viele geschlossen. Das sah man aber erst vor Ort.

Very nice appartement with a wonderfull balcony.

We stayed in the appartement, in the middle of the town of Paterno, for two weeks. We had a lovely time there, found some nice shops and restaurants and were able to visit a lot of nice places in Sicilië.

Über den Dächern von Paterno

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in dieser tollen Wohnung. Die Wohnung liegt im 6. Stock und hat eine super große Dachterrasse, auf der man es sich gut gehen lassen kann und einen super Ausblick auf die Stadt hat. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man in einer Ferienwohnung benötigt. Es war sehr sauber und die Vermieterin, die direkt eine Wohnung drunter wohnt, ist total nett, spricht allerdings nur italienisch. Das einzig negative ist, dass man in der Wohnung den Straßenlärm und Abendfeiereien mitbekommt, auch wenn die Fenster geschlossen sind. Trotzdem kann ich die Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen, da man so auch etwas von Paterno mitbekommt. Ich würde mich bei einem weiteren Besuch jederzeit wieder hier einmieten.

RIESEN-Terrasse mit supergemütlichem Studio

Das lichtdurchflutete Penthouse-Apartment befindet sich im 7. Stock eines ruhigen Mehrfamilienhauses im Zentrum von Paterno. Ein Lift bis zum 6. Stock ist vorhanden und war in der Zeit unseres 8-tägigen Aufenthaltes jederzeit verfügbar. Sehr gemütlicher Gesamteindruck. Guter Gasherd. An der Ausstattung hat nichts gefehlt. Geradezu sensationell ist der Ausblick: links die Hauptlirche St. Barbara, geradezu der Stadtberg mit dem Normannischen Kastell, rechts davon die schöne hügelige Landschaft des Umlandes; ganz rechts sogar noch eine Teilansicht des Ätnas. Die Eigentümerin, Senora Nellina, ist völlig unkompliziert. Sie spricht zwar kein Englisch, Kommunikation war mit beidseitig gutem Willen leicht möglich. Gesamturteil: SEHR empfehlenswert.

Adorable appartement avec vue imprenable sur le château normand.

L'appartement de Monica est très agréable pour deux personnes; il est joliment décoré,lumineux et très propre.Le lit est très confortable. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour. Quelques remarques cependant: il est difficile de stationner dans le quartier, il vaut mieux s'en éloigner un peu. Paterno est une petite ville très animée aussi les bruits de la rue sont parfois gênants dès 18h mais c'est la Sicile! Nous avons regretté de ne pas rencontrer Monica même si elle a répondu toujours aimablement à nos questions au téléphone. Une voisine accueillante nous a remis les clés à notre arrivée mais nous ne l'avons pas revue...heureusement l'adorable boulangère de la Piazza Umberto en bas de l'immeuble était là pour nous donner les informations (notamment où prendre le bus pour Catane...) Notre séjour s'est terminé sur une secousse sismique de 4,8 en pleine nuit, nous avons eu très peur et nous aurions apprécié que Monica prenne de nos nouvelles...Nous gardons cependant un excellent souvenir de notre séjour dans cette belle Sicile. Deux petites suggestions: il manque une planche à repasser et une théière pour les amateurs de thé!

Intérieur bien environnement bruyant, sale et intimidant

Les photos de l appartements sont réalistes pour l intérieur et la terrasse. Les photos transmettent une image de petit village ce qui n est pas le cas. Paterno est une grande ville étalée. Le quartier de l immeuble à 6 étages plus 1 pour cette appartement qui se trouve tout en haut est sale, très bruyant et dans l ambiance fait très "zone". Impossible de dormir au calme entre le bar de la place avec sa musique a fond, les klaxonnes et les travaux publiques. La terrasse et la vue est sympa mais en pleine chaleur permanente. L ascenseur, il ne faut pas être chlostrophobique car il est tout petit. La salle principale a la climatisation mais pas la chambre sachant que dans l appartement il fait une chaleur étouffante. Enfin, Paterno est loin de tout 30/40 min minimum pour arrive dans Catane. 1H20 de Syracuse et pareil pour Taormine. Pas de belles plages à proximité, il faut faire de la route. Une dernière chose, ce n'est pas dans l'annonce mais au dessus de deux personnes les propriétaires font payer des personnes supplémentaires ce que l on voit qu'après sur la facture et des frais de ménage. L'environnement était pour nous tellement défavorable que nous avons quitté l appartement 2 jours plus tôt pour aller ailleurs. On attendait un petit village on a eu une "zone ". Je ne sais pas où sont les magasins indiqués dans l annonce car excepté une boulangerie et un café il n y a rien à proximité.

Quand nous sommes arrivés à Catane, nous avons recupere une voiture de location. La fille au contoir, nous dit qu'est ce que vous allez faire à Paterno !!! Aujourd'hui, je sais nous avons été accueillis tard dans la soirée par la propriétaire très gentillement, l'appartement est super une terrasse merveilleuse où nous avons passé nos soirées en famille. Il ne manque rien on se sent chez soi, c'est très propre. C'est une appartement que je recommande car il est idéalement situé, pour visiter la région. Paterno est une ville à visiter les gens sont gentils, nous avons été toujours bien reçu chez le boulanger le bar pizzeria ,... Sincèrement Carine Éric quentin

Sehr schöne Wohnung,nur sollte man auch sagen, dass sie an einer sehr lauten Straße ist.Der Lärm ist bei Tag und Nacht.Von Erholung keine Spur.

een prachtige plek op een zeer goede locatie

Wij hebben 3 dagen op deze hele leuke plek gezeten met een balkon waar het 's avonds prima vertoeven was. Het uitzicht is prachtig en de buurt heeft alles wat je direct nodig hebt inclusief een plein met een heerlijk cafe waar je van 's morgens 7.00 tot 's nachts 01.00 terecht kunt voor koffie en heerlijke CampariSpritz. Als wij nog eens deze kant op gaan, wordt dit weer onze logeerplek

Stylish Apartment with lovely terrace

The apartment is attractively furnished (some antiques), comfortable bed, very good linen and towels and a large terrace with views including Mt. Etna. There is a lift to the 6th floor, then 2 flights of stairs to the apartment. Parking is free but the driving is manic! The manager Monica was excellent and the owner (who lives on the floor below) very welcoming. Paterno is a working town with many cafes and bars but no upmarket restaurants within walking distance. There is a small supermarket a few doors away (very good meat products) and the larger ones are on the outskirts. There is no wine shop and the small stores keep only cartons & plastic bottles. There are a couple of vegetable shops nearby. The fridge has no ice compartment Most beachside restuarants were also still closed at this time of year.

Well situated Pentouse appartment with a fantastic view from the roof terrasse.

We had wonderful 9 days in this well equipped penthouse appartement with a fantastic view from the roof terrasse. A very friendly and easy going host. Paterno is well situated close to Catania airport, Etna and a lot of sightseeing possibilities within reasonable distances. Herrliche Ferienwohnung im siebten Stock

Die Wohnung ist bestens eingerichtet, der Blick von der Dachterrasse einfach nur spektakulär. Allerdings muss man das italienische Leben lieben, speziell am Wochenende, denn man ist wirklich mittendrin. Aber wenn man sich darauf einlässt, kann man das nicht-touristische Leben sehr genießen. Zumal die Bewohner wirklich liebenswerte Menschen sind.

Tolle Wohnung in super Lage

Wir haben diese Wohnung hauptsächlich aufgrund seiner tollen, großen Terrasse gebucht. Die Lage ist perfekt (tolle Ausblicke) - man bekommt das Nötigste ganz in der Nähe. Für größere Einkäufe braucht man ein Auto - Parkplatz haben wir immer einen gleich in der Nähe bekommen. Es gibt auch eine tolle Pizzeria neben an. Der Kontakt mit Monica war perfekt. Das WIFI ist nicht sehr gut - eigentlich muss man direkt neben dem receiver sitzen, damit es funktioniert.

Molto confortevole!!!!!!!!!!!

Bellissimo bilocale nel centro di Paternò. Molto curato e confortevole. Si gode di una bellissima vista panoramica sulla città e sull'Etna. La veranda è molto comoda. Si presenta esattamente come in foto. Proprietaria molto disponibile e gentile. Ottima esperienza. Consigliatissima!!!!!!

Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour en Sicile. La propriétaire était très aimable et l'appartement est plutôt bien situé pour ceux qui veulent visiter la partie est de l'ile. Seul bémol, la ville qui n'est vraiment pas propre. Mais etant donne que nous y étions uniquement pour le soir, ce n'était pas gênant.

"La mansarda a Paternò è magnifica,un posto unico,esclusivo nel cuore di una Sicilia che merita di essere scoperta e apprezzata. Pulizia,discrezione,tranquillità,pur essendo nel cuore della bella cittadina che va scoperta pian piano,camminando per le strade e parlando con la gente,gentile,rispettosa,accogliente.Panificio, macelleria,fruttivendolo,fermate del bus veramente a due passi.Non manca niente,arredata con gusto e fornita di,tutto,anche di bei libri,guide e..arance magnifiche.QUI SI RIPOSA IN LENZUOLA DI SETA RICAMATE,GRAZIE ALLA FAMIGLIA CALCAGNO-RAPISARDA.Torneremo spero quando il profumo delle zagare salirà dalla valle del Simeto,su,su sul magnifico cielo.e la bianca montagna l''Etna occhieggerà sbuffando dalla terrazza con barbecue."
