About this property

Tranquil private pool home near Siesta Key Beach


Our stylish 2,200 sq.ft. home has been decorated in beach cottage style, an eclectic mix of shabby chic and vintage pieces.
It sits high on a large lot in a private road of only 6 homes close to Phillippi Creek with all its wonderful birds and wildlife. Drive or cycle to Siesta Key, one of America's Best Beaches for many years, (10 minutes by car) or visit the fabulous Mall at UTC, many designer names as well as all America's favourite brands.
The many varied restaurants of Tamiami Trail are equally close by, many offering take out service.
Or simply relax in your own tropical paradise, sparkling heated saltwater pool (less chemicals, kinder to eyes and skin), fully screened in with al fresco eating, large gas grill for the excellent local seafood, and a spacious screened lanai! (No bugs or other unwelcome visitors!)
The pool is not overlooked and the whole yard is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping.

For several years Siesta Beach has been voted America's Best Beach and confirmed what we have known for years.
The fine white quartz crystal sand has healing powers and is home for many nesting birds and sea turtles.
The aquamarine ocean is warm by May/June and remains so until November.
A regular morning walk on this stunning beach or a sunset shared with a friend or lover is a magical experience, never to be forgotten.
The public beach has full facilities and is busy and popular, we prefer the north end of the key where the beach is tranquil and you can spend hours with a book and enjoy a more secluded experience.
The village is only a short walk away with full facilities.

Bedrooms: All our bedrooms have fine linens and comfortable beds, the bathrooms are all white with tile floors, the en suite walk in shower is newly fitted for 2021. We have cupboards full of towels and sheets, duvets for the winter, sufficient extra bedding for 6 to sleep in comfort.

We have a cot and high chair.

Kitchen and dining: When we stay in the house we entertain our many local friends and family and can easily feed 6 on a regular basis, we have lots of pots and pans and crockery/cutlery! Unlike an average rental this is our family retreat and with our 6 children and many grandchildren it has to be on a large scale!

You can park 5 or 6 cars on the drive and most guests agree there is little need or desire to go anywhere once you settle around the pool. Our only problem is we get too relaxed here and never make all the trips we intended!

Our rates are quoted in UK £ and include taxes, electric pool heat, cable and WiFi.
We have a refundable security/damage deposit of $300
We accept US $ checks from our returning regular US guests but all other international payments from our regular guests must be made by secure online banking, or VRBO Online Payments for all new VRBO guests.
A MINIMUM STAY OF 1 MONTH WILL APPLY DURING OUR BUSIEST SEASON - JANUARY through MARCH.
At Christmas we ask for a MINIMUM 10 DAY STAY with no arrivals/departures on Christmas Day or New Years Day.

Ours is not a party house, we are firm about this rule, with our own family living next door in our peaceful, friendly residential neighbourhood.
We have a minimum stay of 10 days at Christmas with no arrivals or departures on Christmas Day/New Years Day and no same day turnarounds.
There is a minimum stay of 1 month from January through April. Any short period remaining available must be booked as a complete period ie 3 weeks.

Our family of 6 decided to stay in the Siesta key/Sarasota area for my Wifes Bday/New Years and Susan has provided us a beautifully equiped home with everything we needed for our vacation. The house was spotless, comfortable and provided everything we needed. The neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. We enjoyed morning and evening walks around the surrounding streets. Our 1st time exploring the area and everything was in close proximity to the home. The kids loved their rooms and enjoyed playing in the heated pool first thing in the morning and after a long day at the beaches/parks. We ate breakfast and dinners at the table and the kitchen provided all the necessities and ample space for meal preps. We wish we could have stayed longer but look forward to when we can visit again soon. Thank you Susan.

Winter getaway

Beautiful home with heated pool which we thoroughly enjoyed along with our visiting children and grandchildren. The outside patio area was very inviting and comfortable. The property is exactly as described. Very clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Truly feels like a home away from home. Exceptional, heated pool with plenty of privacy. Excellent Sarasota House with Pool

Susan the owner was very helpful with recommendations before we arrived. Property was very clean and comfortable with a lot of outside space for relaxing. Kitchen is really well stocked for those who wish to cook but if you don’t there are numerous restaurants an easy drive away. A good base from which to explore this lovely area.

Great family home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely Sarasota home. Worked very well for us with our 3 young adult granddaughters whohad the upstairs all to themselves. Excellent property!

Susan was very prompt with all communication. The home was beautiful and set up well with everything we could need for a beach vacation. Annalise being next door was so helpful for any issues/questions and she was very responsive and kind. The pool was wonderful and we enjoyed doing many jigsaw puzzles out on the lanai! The property is so close to everything - grocery store, shops, restaurants, and about 10 minute drive from Siesta Key Beach!

Spent 2 weeks in this house and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was exactly as listed and very well maintained and clean. The pool was excellent. it was located close enough to everything including several excellent golf courses, restaurants and Fiesta Key beach. The neighborhood was very peaceful. A few small glitches were seen to immediately and without fuss. I would recommend this property to friends and would not hesitate to return there.

A Beautiful Home Away From Home

Our stay at Susan’s beautiful house couldn’t have been better. It was well appointed and we didn’t want for anything. The house was immaculate and check in was a breeze. We loved the thoughtful decor and the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen: perfectly equipped for cooking many of our meals and the grill was a great extra to have. This is the BEST vacation home we’ve ever stayed in and won’t hesitate to book again when we visit Sarasota in the future. One more important factor in our 5-star review: both Susan and Annalise were so kind and friendly in their communication with us.

A Great vacation home!

Our family really enjoyed staying at Susan's home. Everything was as represented in the photos and the description. The home was very clean, the pool was awesome and Annalise was easy to reach, although we really did not need much during our two weeks. We also found the beds to be very comfortable and plenty of room for the family to spread-out and have their personal space. We enjoyed the pool and patio area daily. After a two week stay, we did not find anything lacking in the home. We will definitely return for another visit. Well done, Susan and Annalise.

This house was PERFECT!

This house had everything we needed for a family beach stay. The high chair and pack-n-play was a great help for the littlest one. The outside seating and pool were a huge hit with the other kids. There were tons of toys, beach toys, beach towels, and beach chairs that made going to the beach a breeze. We love all the area beaches and this location was an easy drive to all of them. Susan was amazing to work with and was very quick to communicate with us on anything we needed. We will be back to this house again!

Great place!

The house is nice, clean and cozy. The layout is very practical. We were a family of 6 ranging from ages 12 to 60 and we all enjoyed what the house had to offer. From the private salt water pool to the 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms. The house has plenty of towels for bath and beach including beach chairs. It has a washer and drier on premises. Only 10 mins from Siesta Key beach and 20 mins from Longboat Key. Quiet neighborhood within close proximity to shops, Publix and Starbucks. Will definitely rent again!!!

Perfect Sarasota Getaway!

We had the perfect stay with extended family. With the 2 living areas plus the outdoor living space everyone had ample space to relax while at home. Did you see the pics of the pool? Salt water and warm, our 7 year old daughter lived in this well maintained pool and only wanted to get out for shopping or a trip to the beach. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and of course the beaches. Everything about it is well maintained and inviting. This is a trip our family does every year and we are hoping our dates will match availability next year.

Great Experience. Just what we were hoping for...

This is a very charming home. It is clean, comfortable and full of amenities, inside as well as out. The pool was a highlight for our 4-year old granddaughter. As an added surprise and one that was very appreciated, our host and neighbor, Annalise put up a Christmas tree for our holiday enjoyment. The location was convenient to shopping and eateries and within reasonable distance to the beach. It was great to have beach towels, chairs, a cooler, and sand toys for our use. The outside shower was a plus as well. The owner was very pleasant to work with and we certainly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

We are British, living year round in Surrey, England. We have been travelling to Sarasota since 1982 when my own parents chose it for their retirement and built a wonderful golf course home.
Our daughter lives next door, manages our property and takes great care of our guests. She has lived in Sarasota since 1991 and she and her husband are in construction with a great portfolio of lovely properties so our own 'home from home' is in excellent hands.
