Cute apartment in a great location

The apartment is in Cala Galdana, on top of a staircase: not too easy to reach but great for the fresh wind even in August. We never had to use AC.

Après une montée de 70 marches (le descriptif ne faisaient mention que de quelques unes), nous avons découvert un appartement d'une propreté très relative, prélude à la rencontre de problèmes successifs :- vidange de la baignoire très lente car l'évacuation était pratiquement bouchée.- le grille-pain a fait sauter les plombs à plusieurs reprises avant de rendre l'âme définitivement- une porte sous l'évier qui ne tient plus dans ses gonds, nous est tombée sur les pieds.Nous avons signalé ces problèmes au propriétaire et nous devons souligner qu'ils ont été rapidement résolus par la personne ressource.Mais nous avons découverts d'autres dysfonctionnements un peu plus tard, que nous n'avons pas signalés, par lassitude :-la machine à café, pour laquelle nous avions acheté des capsules, ne fonctionnait pas.- les draps élimés et surtout rétrécis ne s'adaptaient pas du tout au matelas; l'absence d'alaise sur les matelas constitue également un problème d'hygiène..- le parking mentionné dans le descriptif est en fait une place dans la rue où il permis de stationner, mais s'y garer à certaines heures d'affluence dans la journée est impossible.Cette série de dysfonctionnements a nui de façon significative à la sérénité de notre séjour et a provoqué une perte de temps et d'énergie.En résumé, nous estimons que les prestations offertes ne sont pas à la hauteur de la somme acquittée pour cette location (900)

Aceptable pero no repetiria

Hemos tenido algunas sorpresas con el alojamiento que lamentablemente no me permiten poner más que "aceptable". Nos encontramos una vez allí, que no hay señal de televisión (no me refiero a smart tv, sino ni tan solo la tele normal, porque no hay antena) lo cual para los peques ha sido un pequeño problemilla. Entendemos que las cosas se rompen pero creo que también habría que avisar, ya que de haberlo sabido hubieramos llevado un ordernador o tablet para poder mirar alguna pelicula o dibujitos. La presión del agua es una risa, para ducharse una persona con pelo largo necesitas horas para aclarartelo. Y por suerte se nos ocurrió preguntar antes de ir si había cafetera que tampoco había y la compramos nosotros con el visto bueno del propietario y correspondiente abono. La ubicación en cala galdana está perfecta. Ojo si vais con peques o vas a cargar cochecitos de bebés, compras super, maletas, etc porque hay más de 70 escaleras para llegar al apartamento. Si sois bastante gente y podeis repartir las cargas para subir, ningún problema!

séjour agréable

Dans les précisions concernant les conditions d'arrivée, nous avions bien l'adresse de la résidence mais pas le numéro du logement ni le code de la boite à clé. Après de multiples appels, nous avons enfin pu joindre le logeur et recevoir ces informations ( plus d'une heure de démarches). Par ailleurs, l'absence d’alèse sur le matelas était regrettable. Pour le reste, ce fut un séjour agréable.

Une semaine parfaite !

Logement idéalement situé pour découvrir Cala Galdana et les plages alentours. La proximité de l arret de bus permet de visiter l île simplement. Le logement est spacieux et la vue incomparable !

Sejour en famille avec enfants jeunes

1 semaine de vacances en famille, le logement est spacieux pour 4, équipé comme il fait, climatisé. Le plus difficile etant de monter les marches car le logement et tout en haut mais vraiment ca vaut le coup pour la tranquilité , tout proche de la plage de cala galdana. Ricardo reagit vite!

Buona posizione, buona sistemazione.

Casa abbatanza comoda per 4 persone, immersa nel verde, con sufficiente privacy nonostante la vicinanza di molte altre sistemazioni simili. Ci sono molti scalini da fare, quindi adatta solo a chi NON ha problemi motori. Buona posizione (si va in spiaggia a piedi in 5 minuti). Difficoltoso il parcheggio in orario di pranzo, mentre al mattino ed alla sera si parcheggia facilmente.

Tolle Unterkunft für einen Strandurlaub!

Wir waren rundum zufrieden und haben in und mit der Wohnung alles gefunden, was man braucht! Kurzer Weg zum Strand und Supermärkte in der Nähe. Der Vermieter stand für jede Frage zur Verfügung und war sehr hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

bon logement!

nous avons passé un bon séjour dans ce logement. Propre, fonctionnel, agréable et bien équipé. Il manquait juste une poêle dans la cuisine sinon il est très bien équipé. La literie est super! il est très bien situé à cala galdana, proche des commerces et de la plage. facile pour se garer devant le logement. Seul bémol: il y a eu du bruit certaines nuits (voisinage important) je recommande ce logement!!

Relax y tranquilidad

El alojamiento ha sido una isla de tranquilidad en un momento en el que la isla estaba muy llena de gente. En él hemos pasado momentos geniales y nos hemos sentido muy a gusto, está cerca de todas partes pero suficientemente apartado como para estar tranquilo y sentirse fuera del bullicio. Minorca fantastica!

L'appartamento è molto carino, dotato di wi-fi, lavatrice, aria condizionata, asciugamani, lenzuola. La posizione è molto buona a 10 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia di Cala Galdana, c'è un viale alberato da percorrere proprio fuori l'appartamento. C'è una lunga scalinata per raggiungere l'appartamento quindi per chi ha difficoltà motorie risulta un po' complicato. Ristoranti e bar sono tutti vicinissimi. Cala Galdana é a 20/30 minuti dalle zone piú belle di Minorca, che é assolutamente da visitare in lungo e in largo perché spettacolare. Il proprietario è sempre stato molto gentile e disponibile. Direi che questa vacanza a Minorca é stata da 10 e lode.

Wie waren sehr begeistert von dem Apartment. Die Küche hatte eine gute Ausstattung und alles was man braucht. Das Apartment ist 10 Minuten vom Strand entfernt und hat eine ruhige Umgebung. Das einzige was uns gestört hat ist der Weg ins Apartment. Es sind einige Treppen hoch und wir waren 3 Mädchen mit großen Koffern und es war sehr schwierig zum diese ins Apartment zu transportieren. Aber meiner Meinung nach ist das Apartment sehr empfehlenswert!

Good location, but run down apartment

This accommodation is run down and poorly looked after, which is a shame. There are a few safety issues which are quite concerning. The ladder to the bunk beds is not screwed on at the top, which we only discovered when our young son tried to climb it, it was fortunate he didn't hurt himself. He had to be lifted in and out of the bed every day. The electrical appliances in the kitchen are all plugged into a single adaptor, which hangs from the wall, which I believe is quite dangerous. There is also rotting wood in the bathroom and the washing machine floods the kitchen floor when in use. The accommodation is located on a steep slope, with the only access intothe building via glazed doors, which are locked in by metal shutters. The windows of the buildings are several stories up. The lock to the glass doors does not work from the inside, so the only way to secure the building at night is to lock the metal shutters. The glass doors need to be closed to keep the ants out, so you need to remove the key from the metal shutters. Because of this set up combined with the general run down nature of the building, we were worried that should there be a fire at night we wouldn't be able to get our children out safely. We went to test the smoke alarm, and were surprised to find it without battery and with broken wires. We contacted the owner to express our concerns and request a new smoke alarm and were told that if we didn't like the accommodation we could move elsewhere. What kind of person responds in that way to a question of children's safety? We sought out and bought a smoke alarm, which isn't top of your list of things to do on holiday, but we did sleep safer at night with it in place. We took it to our next accommodation on the island, but the house had a functional smoke alarm on each floor. Other problems were that when we arrived there was not a scrap of toilet roll in the building so the first thing we had to do was find a shop to buy some. Whilst I appreciate the house should not be fully stocked, I don't think I've ever been to holiday accommodation that didn't have at least a part used roll. When we first used the kitchen all of the cutlery and crockery was damp and greasy. When we went to use the last plate on the stack I found a piece of rotting meat stick to the plate, which at least explained the smell from that cupboard. What a shame the same couldn't be said for the bathroom; no amount of scrubbing could remove the smell of urine.
