The best host ever

The house was huge and beautiful with magnificent enormous garden around and breathtaking Mountain View. The host was very attentive and super friendly. We have enjoyed our stay a lot.

Amazing Basque "Caserio". Fantastic property and host. Highly recommended

Our stay in Belen's chalet (traditional Basque Farm House) was fantastic. Communication with Belen was excellent, always responded promptly, extremely polite and helpful. She even gave us a private update on the town latest news during our stay, as she is a local and knows the surroundings very well. The property as such is huge, with lots of character. The outside space is also very large, and the views are breath-taking. Location is not far from the nearest town Onati, and can be easily access by car (unsure about public transport as we didn’t use it). You can get to larger cities in the Basque Country (Bilbao – Donostia – Vitoria) in ~ 1 hour or less driving time. Nicely decorated with a combination of modern and traditional furniture. Ample bathroom facilities. Huge rooms and several living and social rooms spread across the various levels. She also has a good variety of games to play, which was handy as we travelled with children. Highly recommended. We’ll be back for sure in the future.

Una casa amplia, muy acogedora, decorada con buen gusto y muy limpita. Tiene un jardín precioso con unos rincones para quedarte y no moverte, el entorno es espectacular. La anfitriona muy agradable y atenta. Muy recomendable.

Casa Belen - Oñati

Hemos ido 3 parejas con 4 niños, con edades entre 5 y 8 años. La casa es magnifica, las fotos no le hacen toda la justicia qeu se merece. Con unos espacios abiertos espectaculares y la dueña los tiene muy, muy bien cuidado. Los niños han podido jugar de lo lindo y nosotros hemos estado muy cómodos. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y tiene su propio cuarto de baño. Y la cocina, muy cómoda y con espacio para comer dentro. Muy bien equipada. Hay que tener en cuenta que son tres plantas, por el tema de las escaleras, y las habitaciones están en la primera y segunda planta. Belen está muy pendiente de que todo esté bien. Muy amable y simpática. Por echar algo en falta, solo el tema de microondas. Como sitio "base", Oñati está muy situado, y en coche tienes a meso de una hora un montón de sitios para visitar, incluido Bilbao y San Sebastian. A parte de tener todo tipo de servicios com supermercados, restaurantes, etc. Le damos un sobresaliente, sin duda.

Entorno privilegiado

Estuvimos una semana en Agosto y la experiencia fue buena. Los puntos fuertes de la casa son la ubicación en plena montaña muy cerca de Oñati y a unos 45 min de San Sebastián, el espacio exterior con un jardín precioso y vistas increíbles, y la decoración muy cuidada. Los puntos negativos son el no ser una única casa (está dividida en dos y al lado vive el propietario), aunque la privacidad era muy buena, pierde el encanto de casa aislada en la montaña. El otro punto que no nos gusto fue el no poder usar el salón de planta baja ya que no estaba incluido y se encontraba cerrado. En planta 1 y 2 había unas zonas comunes pero algo pequeñas para un grupo de 8 personas.
