This is a beautiful, older property. Has much character and well maintained. If the walls could only talk! So close to downtown we never got in a car to have breakfast or lunch or dinner. The weekend was beautiful, would highly recommend staying there. Communication was great, checked in with us to make sure we were doing OK. And no hassles. One thing to note, the floors do creak, therefore it's not the quietest if you have a lot of people that move around during the night. We expected that and was no problem for us.
The house was a wonderful place to stay with friends, and the host was very responsive with all the information we needed. Great place, highly recommend!
Our stay at Birch St. Estates was absolutely wonderful! Our group of 5 couples fit perfectly. The home's well-appointed kitchen, large gathering room, friendly large porch, and its proximity to downtown make this a house we will definitely book again.
House was in an excellent location. Very walkable and close to downtown.
House was clean, and extremely well stocked. Plenty of linens, toiletries, and kitchen items.
Our group had an awesome stay, and plan on booking again!
Large beautiful home with lots of community space and large bedrooms. While built in 1912, it is well-maintained and a beautiful home with lots of wood detailing. The kitchen is well-stocked. Would love to stay again.
This was an amazing property to hold a board retreat. Host communication was wonderful and very helpful. The property is within walking distance of town and we walked into town for dinner at wonderful local restaurants. We have agreed we would be happy to hold our retreat here again and it suited our needs perfectly.
House was rented for 6 couples in their 30s to do some wine tasting. Kitchen is large and well stocked. Back deck was used a lot. The house suited our needs well.
Everything was great. We do wish the front door was able to be used. The rocking chairs on the porch are perfect for morning coffee and evening wine chats. However having to go thru the back door to access the front porch was a little inconvenient. Hopefully you fix this before we come back !

Thank you for your nice review of our historic Birch Street Estate. A guest favorite for it's history and charm. The font door is original to the home and dates back to 1912 as such we have chosen to not use the front door due to an interior locking system that is confusing to guests. Please remember as in our communications that we are here for any need or want while you are staying with us. A quick phone call and we would have gone over the operation of the door for your convenience. We are always happy to accommodate when we can. Cheers!
6 of us stayed for a girls weekend and loved it. Walking distance to down town, amazing kitchen for making meals and hanging out. Very easy check in/out process and a great price for us all to have our own beds. Would 100% stay there again.
One of the ladies left her makeup and the host arranged to have it shipped home. Wonderful.
4 stars on listing accuracy just because there was some confusion where the listed number of rooms changed after we booked, but we had everything we needed/expected.
We had a group of 14 staying in the house and used every bit of space, which was fantastic. Great location to access downtown walking and with lots of room to visit together or in smaller groups. Loved the mixture of updates and history found at this home. The management company was great to deal with and resolve anything that was a question very quickly. Thanks for making this one of our best get togethers ever.
My family and I stayed at this wonderful location this past weekend to celebrate my wedding. We were absolutely amazed by this residence. Everything was perfect! The check in process was easy and we appreciated the thoughtful gift they provided. The house was big enough to accommodate my family and I. It was spacious and clean. We would definitely recommend this residence for big families!
This property is a very well maintained and well-appointed house. The rooms provide a lot of space for small groups and for the entire group of 8 of us to gather, to eat, and to socialize. The management was extremely responsive and helped a lot. We cycled the lovely surroundings and I cannot recommend it more highly.
Two small issues with the house: the cleaning of the house was good but not great, for example some dirt in couch cushions. A pet peeve of mine is that the knives were really dull and that makes cooking (for 8) challenging.
Otherwise, excellent.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! We will definitely invest in another knife sharpener (they often disappear) and take more care with the couch cushions.
The backyard, deck & outdoor furniture were not very inviting or clean. The whole area needed a complete polish. We had to clean off the back & front outdoor furniture and wash the windows so we could see out of them. There was no hose so we did it by hand. The kitchen needs to be stocked with plastic wrap, (only had foil) and some cleaning supplies like windex, etc.. We had a lovely stay and the place was nice just a couple of suggestions.

Thank you for your input regarding the outdoor spaces of the property. We detail the porches, patio and all outdoor furniture before each guest stay. Late Summer in Walla Walla during harvest does get very "dusty"! We'll stay on top of it to the best of our ability. So glad you had a nice stay.
Well, the house is great, and looks much better than in the photos, to be honest. It's in a great location, has porches that work really well in the morning and evening and all the little touches like shampoo and soaps and stuff are nice.
However, the property manager is a real treat.
On the fridge there's a note that says,
"The comfort and quality of your stay is my #1 goal. Should anything in the home go "on the fritz" or "functionally -challenged" or simply "not right" please call or text me so I can remedy the situation immediately."
So, we took her at her word to let her know the filtered water from the fridge wasn't working and her response was more or less...."Sorry, luckily Walla Walla has some of the best drinking water."
Then, when I contacted her to let her know that the hot and the cold on the washing machine was hooked up backwards and that it ruined 5 peices of my mother's clothes (we were there after a wedding and all needed a refresh on clothes) she said "Sorry, all of the laundry is sent out so those machines are not used by the cleaning crew" then never responded again....
One last thing that rubbed us the wrong was was the laminated sign on the "jetted tub" that read "Jacuzzi feature on tub does not work - only use as bathtub!" If the jets don't work on the tub, don't keep it as a feature in your listing. To go through the effort to laminate a sign, but not update the listing is emblematic of the way the property is managed. Once you're in, you're on your own.

We're so glad you enjoyed our home. In the seven years we have employed our Property Manager we have had nothing but rave reviews about her responsiveness, attitude and professionalism.
To address the three issues you mentioned:
1) The water filter on the fridge has been replaced, as a part was on back-order.
2) A Plumber was called in to assess the water hook-up on the washer and found it to be plumbed correctly.
3) The sign on the jetted tub was laminated to keep it waterproof so guests could read it. That feature on the listing was removed when we were told the fix would take 2-3 months.
