About this property

Superb barn in the Lot valley

The barn is part of a property built around 1850, a beautiful house that once served as a straw factory. Transformed into a bright and attractive accommodation, the barn remains cool in summer and comfortable in winter. The kitchen is well equipped, with a dishwasher and two fridges. The accommodation is located in a large garden where you can really relax in peace and quiet and enjoy the beautiful location of the heated swimming pool. You can take your meals on the terrace with a beautiful view of the swimming pool and the countryside. At your disposal is also a second shaded terrace, fitted out in the place of the old bread oven, as well as a large barbecue area. Children have plenty of space to have fun, and the swing will certainly please them, as well as the large ping pong table and the game of bowls.
When you want to move, we offer hiking trails from the house, bike rides in the Lot valley, or kayaking in the beautiful Célé valley.
Enjoy the fresh fruit and vegetables from our vegetable garden or, if you don't feel like cooking, treat yourself with a meal prepared by the owner, a cooking graduate, using fresh products from the market and the garden, accompanied wines from the region.

We returned to the area after 8 years and thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks. We chose this property based on the photos and other reveiws.Marion, the owner was very welcoming and helpful. The pool and pool area were fabulous. The pool was clean and the children loved it.The garden/grounds well kept and plenty to explore and play in.Unfortunately the gite itself was not as expected. The lack of storage space in the kitchen and bedrooms frustrating. And overall needs some care and attention.

Perfect peace and relaxation

We have just spent a wonderful week in this beautiful gite; we have returned with batteries charged and full of plans to return when we can! The property had every comfort - the highlight for me being the swimming pool, where you can drift up and down with the most gorgeous scenery surrounding you. The extensive gardens are full of flowers and butterflies - lovely for evening walks down to the river. We also enjoyed the great barbecue area with table and chairs for al fresco Toulouse sausages. Ambeyrac is a great base for visiting interesting and picturesque towns and villages nearby; Najac and St Cirq Lapopie were our favourites. Do not miss out on the chance to have a meal cooked by Marion; on our last night we enjoyed a culinary masterclass which will be remembered for ever - thank you Marion and Martin for being such friendly and helpful hosts. We hope to see you again some day….

Les environs offrent de nombreuses possiblilités: ballades, vélo, sports nautiques (sur le Lot), beaux petits villages, etc. Propiétaires très discrets et toujours dispo pour nous. On a fort apprécié notre séjour.

Es war ein Traum ! Super Anwesen, sehr groß, charmantes Haus, sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, ein wunderschöner Garten, beheizter Pool, Tischtennis, Grill, Ruhe und Vogelgezwitscher... Urlaub pur ! Zwei mal kochte Marion für uns ein 5-Gänge-Menü - das war eine Verwöhnkur pur für unsere Gaumen. Marion war sehr hilfsbereit, sie gab uns auch viele Tipps bzgl. der Aktivitäten, Märkte und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir (4 Erwachsene und zwei Jugendliche 15 und 16 J.) fühlten uns sehr wohl. Check out fiel uns sehr,sehr schwer . Es war wie Wohnen bei Freunden. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Danke Marion, danke Martin !🥰 Axel,Simon, Jonathan, Karl,Regina und Irena

Peaceful holidays in a fantastic location

We (two families) spent two wonderful weeks at "Monplaisir" and enjoyed everything: the nice house, the spacious and refreshing pool, the wonderful view from the terrace, the fantastic garden and the picturesque landscape.Marion and Martin were really nice and very helpful hosts, so we didn´t miss anything! Gîte confortable avec, surtout, un superbe extérieur : - vue spectaculaire depuis la terrasse, la piscine et le jardin - jardin immense et bien aménagé, - grande piscine aux abords à la fois pratiques, confortables et propres - terrasse spacieuse avec du mobilier de qualité (et toujours la vue imprenable !) Les propriétaires sont autant serviables que discrets et la région est tout simplement magnifique... Bref, une location à recommander !

Un lieu de vacances idéal

Avec nos 2 enfants et un couple d'amis accompagné également de leurs 2 enfants nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cet endroit magnifique. L'aménagement de "la grange" est très confortable, 4 chambres, 2 salle de bains, l'espace cuisine est très fonctionnel. Nous avons été charmés par les espaces extérieurs, l'espace barbecue, les terrasses aux ambiances différentes et la grande piscine. La vue magnifique sur le terrain apporte beaucoup à la magie du lieu. Les enfants ont pu bénéficier du grand jardin et du portique. Sans aucun doute la meilleure location dont j'ai pu faire l'expérience. Merci beaucoup à Marion pour son accueil, sa discrétion et sa disponibilité. Nous avons également eu la chance de déguster sa cuisine raffinée et généreuse, avec les produits de son jardin et de sa région, je conseille vivement sa table d'hôtes. Sans hésiter nous renouvellerons avec grand plaisir cette expérience.

Séjour de repos total dans une propriété de rêve , piscine top , maison top, calme , un superbe accueil de Marion qui est rester très discrète pendant notre séjour mais toujours la quand nous avons eu besoin de ces services ou renseignements. A refaire!!!!

Maison spacieuse et très agréable à la déco soignée, dans un cadre idéal : un panorama sublime sans vis-à-vis, à 2 pas des berges du Lot. Le calme absolu, l'espace, ainsi que la gentillesse et la discrétion des propriétaires... Literie de qualité, équipements complets, vaste espace BBQ, piscine propre et ensoleillée toute la journée, immense jardin pour les jeux des enfants... Nous y avons passé une semaine parfaite. Le plus difficile étant d'en partir....

Séjour de rêve à Ambeyrac

Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve dans le village d'Ambeyrac et dans cette grange très bien aménagée. Tout le confort nécessaire, une piscine idéalement construite qui permet d'admirer un paysage idyllique, et la pleine jouissance d'un jardin très bien entretenu. La rivière n'est pas loin et offre aussi de bien belles baignades. Le soleil donne, les oiseaux chantent, la région est si belle. Le vrai luxe des vacances au calme. Pour parfaire le tout, Marion est une hôte très accueillante et soucieuse de votre bien être et de votre tranquillité. Merci Marion. Chloé et Jean We spent a perfect week in the village of Ambeyrac and in this great barn . All necessary comfort, ideally built pool can admire an enchanting landscape and the full enjoyment of a well maintained garden. The river is not far away and also offers some wonderful swimming . The sun gives , birds are singing , the area is so beautiful. True luxury quiet holiday . To round it off, Marion is a very welcoming host and concerned about your well being and your tranquility.
