It was the most perfect space to be for the weekend, so quiet and tranquil. Close to surrounding towns and right next to the bike trail. We look forward to renting it again next year and many years to come!
This property is well taken care of and provided all the items we needed to feel like we were at home. Location is great to get to Salem, Marblehead and Gloucester.
My daughters and I had a wonderful mini vacation here. Property was clean, provided everything you could need and was close to everything we wanted to see. Marblehead was beautiful and we had a great time in Salem which was under a 10 minute drive from this property. The owner, Mike, was super nice, and offered lots of great recommendations for places to eat and things to see. I would HIGHLY recommend this home and hopefully will be back again.
A restful, clean and quiet space for our first trip to Marblehead, Boston and Salem. A short walk to the ocean! Lovely neighborhood. Would definitely stay again!
We had a great time, the apartment had everything we needed and having a washer and dryer was a plus. Host was very helpful, would definitely stay here again.
My daughter and I stayed here for two nights while visiting the area. The location is a perfect point between Glouster and Boston. It was a genuinely welcoming and cozy space. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of cooking gear if we had needed it. One area that needs an update in the listing is the bathroom: It has been completely remodeled from the pictures! Unnecessary for our purposes, but still a pleasant surprise. I would 100% stay here again. Thanks for auch a great, affordable rental!

Girl's Weekend
This place was good for my sister and I, area is very quiet and you have plenty of room. The bathroom is updated and you have most items needed in the kitchen. Restaurants and stores are pretty close.
The apartment is clean, however it needs a good deep cleaning, lots of cob webs in every room.
The TV is an outdated firestick that is extremely slow, and would only load recycled news stories.
The lock for the exterior door did not actually lock, so when we left, our stuff was not secured. I don't think anyone would come in as the door is right next to the front door but still.
I messaged the host about both of these items, and about check out instructions, but he responded after we left and only addressed the checkout.
Cute little loft with everything you could possibly need. Very clean and nice I'm definitely going to rent it the next time I visit Salem! Perfect. For 2-3 people. It was just me and my mom and we loved it!!! ❤️

Cute and cozy, no internet.
The place was cute and cozy, well stocked with items you would need to prepare and serve meals, coffee, etc. It was located in a very nice neighborhood in Marblehead, next to a walking trail. The bed was super comfy, like sleeping on a firm marshmallow, and the kids slept well on the sofa bed. These are the good things, here are the not-so-good things (just our experience)..
First of all, there are no images currently of the exterior of/around the property (perhaps for privacy) and it confused us a bit thinking it would look a lot like it did in the image of the street with the row houses. We showed up when it was dark and since the place looks so different from pictures on the exterior, I was not sure I was in the right place. The instructions had told me to park in a carport, which was another thing that made me really confused about whether the GPS took me to the right spot, because where I'm from a carport is a covered structure you can park under and there was none... He did come out to greet us in the dark luckily, and pointed to a parking space and said that was the carport. Just in case that helps anyone else not feel like they're totally lost when they get there.:-) None of this was a big deal. The thing that actually left us disappointed was t
This. I am fairly certain the place was advertised as having Wi-Fi, I had seen other reviewers say that they had trouble with internet, but hoped that was a temporary problem. We did sign into the Wi-Fi, but none of us were able to get internet the entire weekend. Both my husband and I tried calling the owner at different times of the day and left messages describing the problem, asking if he could try resetting the router in case that was the problem. The thing that really bothered me was that we never got a call or message back. The internet never did kick in, amd we kept wondering if he was ever going to contact us back about it. There's a nice smart TV as well, but that is not much use without internet, since there was also no cable. Even if he didn't get the message until a few days later, it would have been nice to receive communication and recognition of the issue. If not for the lack of internet and response from the owner, I might have given 5 stars. Adding more data to our plan twice in order to research details pertinent to our travel added cost to our stay. And communication is key.
Loved our stay here. It was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of walking in Salem. The hosts were easy to communicate with and the apartment was clean and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.
Generally ok.
The following are some specifics.
1. The toaster did not work.
2. The handle of the hot water pot was very sticky, obviously hadn’t been washed for quite some time.
3. It would be more pleasant if the kitchen drawers were lined with clean shelf paper. Old drawer bottoms made one suspicious of the cleanliness of the utensils.
4. The fridge door can become white with a little scrubbing.
Everything about this place is wonderful. Rustic, authentic New England and very comfortable. It proved to be a quiet get away. Close to many, many historical venues and wonderful scenery. We will return and would encourage others to consider this opportunity. Hosts are great and very helpful.
