Beautiful authentic village house, combining charm and contemporary style
This house is in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in France, located in the Luberon region. Recently restored, it will be ideal for a family (child over 10 years) since it is composed of a parental suite: with its bathroom, and two other smaller rooms on the floor below. It has a garage for a medium-sized car, very useful in this small village (July and August minimum reservation 6 days). On the first floor, its living room and its terrace is ideal for enjoying the sun, and having meals, with the exceptional view.

One of our all-time favorites! A lovely hilltop village and a truly beautiful view from the terrace to enjoy with morning coffee or sunset cocktails. We arrived by car and found Ansouis to be a reasonable distance for day visits to Avignon or Aix, plus there are lots of other charming villages and vineyards in every direction. The residence is on four levels and the stairs are steep, but we are in our 70s and did not find it too much to deal with! (Just the two of us so we kept mainly to the entrance level where the main bedroom is located, and the upstairs kitchen/dining/living/terrace areas. The residence includes a garage on the very bottom level but we found it convenient to park in the easy-access public lot, a quick stroll away. Did I mention the great view?
This is such a lovely house with very thoughtful and comfortable touches. Very quiet in one of France's most beautiful small villages. The large balcony with great view is perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. The surrounding area is wonderful for exploring vineyards and other small villages.
Everything was perfect. The village of Ansouis, the 2 restaurants we went to in the village. Excellent. The view from our patio was outstanding and the house very comfortable and Adeline was very kind. We would definitely go back, no question.

Thank you very much Richard for your message, I was delighted to welcome you, thank you for taking care of the house. I wish you all the best.
Amazing view from deck/patio and beautifully decorated home with an artists touch. We had a comfortable stay and our host was available and accommodating. The town is quaint and an easy drive to other area villages.

Unfortunately, his property was very disappointing.. Let's start with the positives: the kitchen/living room combo room was well decorated, inviting, and had a balcony with great view of the natural surrounding. The mid-level bedroom and 2 bathrooms were also nice. However, the host did not fully explain how steep the stairs to the lower level were. They were dangerously steep, and no railing to hold on to, with very low ceilings that forced you to hunch over as you went down. In my opinion, those stairs were unsafe for children, elderly people, and anyone who needs to go up and down . Although we were told that there was only one air conditioning unit in the kitchen, we were also told that the property walls was very thick and that fans would keep the rooms cool. Unfortunately, the bedrooms below felt more like a cave, very hot and it was impossible to sleep because of the heat. The fans were outdated and did not blow strong enough air for relief. It felt suffocating . The kitchen had rotten fruits displayed over the stove and the freezer had a container of ice cream partially eaten. By or 3rd day, the only AC unit in the kitchen stopped functioning on its own. We contacted the owner who did fixed it but sent us a message saying that we should not touch the "controls"(?) She was also defensive where we shared our other concerns. Access to the one (small) car garage from the house was truly dangerous through steep stairs. Sadly, we would not go choose this property again.

We absolutely loved our stay in Ansouis. Adeline was a perfect host who met us at the property and gave us a tour. The view from the patio was even better than advertised. Ansouis is a beautiful little village with lots to do nearby. If you get a chance go on a truffle hunt Johann at Les Pastras.
The property is located near the center of Ansouis; very convenient. The terrace which comes off the living area has a great view and very relaxing. Ansouis itself has added some stores since our last visit and is a delightful village in Provence. The kitchen has a new look to it and contained the items we needed. Adeline greeted us when we arrived and helped to get us settled. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful stone character accomodation in the heart of the Luberon region. Cute village with yummy patisserie (open W-Su) and small grocery. House well equipt with narrow stairs between levels. Garage for a small 4 door sedan. Loved our time here.
We had a really great time at the property - Adeline was very nice and personable despite several changes to our plans. The house was lovely and just what we needed. She even left us a lovely bottle of wine for us the night we arrived!

Fabulous location and modern house
We absolutely loved our stay here. The house has great style, was immaculate with fabulous views and is very reasonably priced. Also the owner made it so easy to meet her (and exit ) and speaks great English.
We will be recommending to friends as a great base to explore the Luberon area. Merci beaucoup Adeline

Thank you very much Louise,
I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay in my house! It was a pleasure to meet you .
This has been our favorite VRBO stay! Everything was wonderful! We loved Ansouis and after visiting many Provincial villages, we all agree Ansouis was our favorite. What a charming, quaint, and beautiful village. The home was beautiful and equipped with everything we needed. The view from the balcony will remain in our hearts and minds always. The property owner is a perfect host. We would love to stay here again with our daughters in the future. Thank you for a perfectly memorable stay.
I can’t believe we found this home. We loved everything about our stay. This is truly a beautiful home that has graciously been shared. It had everything we needed and more. It was in the perfect location. Ansouis is a charming town that is not overpopulated by tourists. It had great restaurants and a well stocked grocery market. It was also perfectly situated for exploring the area.
The pictures do not do it justice. When I saw the view from the terrace, it brought tears to my eyes! Breathtaking.
I hope to return if I am lucky enough.

thank you very much for your so nice appreciations.
i'm really happy you enjoyed your stay in my house.
You were welcome .
The owner was very cordial, attentive, and helpful, even though we understand very little French. Location is excellent as a base for exploring Provence; the serenity and peacefulness of the village were great for us. The Local restaurants were very nice; as there are only a few of them, and their opening times weren't intuitive to us, we needed to plan ahead for to ensure availability. The property was very well maintained with a pleasantly unique layout, a recently updated interior and beautiful views from the terrace. Parking was convenient, even though our car (small SUV) did not fit in the garage under the home. And finally, the A/C worked well - even in one of the worst heat waves in history - which happened to be a real bonus on this particular visit. In all, we are very pleased with our decision to stay here.

Wonderful home in charming village
Adeline was the perfect host and our stay in Ansouis was fairy book. The home, which is on 3 levels has its own garage. Two bedrooms on lower level, master bedroom and very nice bathrooms on ground level and kitchen, living room and terrace on second level. The kitchen is modern and equipped with all needs...and then...here is the magic!... the outside terrace with loungers is as pictured, but from the picture you can not see that it is heaven out there at all times of the day and night.
The small village of Ansouis is so big with all it offers...a castle to tour, a Michelin star restaurant, a pizza man ready at all times to make you a personalized pizza, a boulangerie and an artist from Australia who has decided to gift France with her presence. Please enjoy...we certainly did!

This cottage was nicely furnished with a great terrace overlooking the fields beyond. It is 4 floors including the garage level connected with steep and irregular stairs. The only level that has the 2 bathrooms only has one bedroom. The level below has two bedrooms but because there were no handrails up the stairs, we decided it was not safe for senior citizens to be climbing up at night for bathroom visits. So my sister ended up spending her week sleeping on the sofa in the kitchen/living room. She still had to walk down a flight of stairs but there were handrails on this level so the steep stairs weren’t as scarey. If there had only been my husband and me, this would not have been an issue. The village shop people were lovely and tried to speak English as our French has been long forgotten. We ate in one of their 2 high end restaurants and we should have sent two out of three dinners back. The staff was great but quality of meals were not.
We enjoyed our stay in this quiet lovely village in the Luberon region. The house is very beautiful with it's old world charm but with modern amenities (bathrooms, kitchens, new windows, etc). The view from the balcony was a welcome respite at the end of a long day taking day trips, as well, as a wonderful greeting to the mornings. We were in Europe for 16 days and stayed in 3 different places, and this is our favorite because it was so charming yet very comfortable (and we stayed in nice houses too - this was just really charming). There is also a small grocery shop and a bakery down the road, less than 5 minutes walk. The car can be parked in the garage provided but because it is a narrow street, we decided to park in the village parking area (it seems like Provence has a village parking area in almost every village we visited). The parking is also less than 5 minute walk. It is really a short walk.
The house is on a hill/cliff (I think), and the entry is on street level, but the house has 3 floors, and the entry is in the middle floor (so when you walk to the back of the house - even though you entered at street level, the windows are high above). The living area is on the top floor and the other 2 bedrooms are downstairs (when you walk downstairs, the bedroom with the twin beds are right there, and you have to walk through this bedroom to get to the other bedroom with the full sized bed -- we found the stone floors really lovely and charming). The main floor has the main bedroom and two bathrooms. Because it is an old house, the stairs are steep and narrow. The place is well suited for families with older children (she prefers 10 and up because they need to be self sufficient and responsible) -- the bedroom windows were kids sleep can be opened (as all the other windows) and if younger kids were staying, they might climb out and fall (and it's a long fall to the street because this side of the house is on the hill/cliff side). The place is also well suited for adults without any knee or walking issues (because of the stairs). The house has beautiful large beams crossing the rooms in the ceiling. The decorations are tastefully done. Everything about this place oozes charm. We loved it! We'd stay here again!

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in gemütlichen alten Haus inmitten eines mittelalterlichen Bilderbuchdorfs. Enge Gassen, schöne Ansichten, tolle Ausblicke. Sehr nette Gastgeberin, Unterkunft voll ausgestattet, zum Fernsehen sollte man etwas Französisch verstehen können.
