About this property

Family home with Nordic bath in quiet countryside 1 hour from Paris!

We fell under the spell of this stone house from the early 19th century and lime trees in the garden. We have completely renovated, and have designed a modern extension to connect it to the little booth in which we take our meals in the summer, contemplating the greenery around us. Garden of 1500 m2 with views over the valley of Vaucouleurs.
Decoration cozy and comfortable. House of 200 m2. Large living room very cozy of 60 m2, 2 double bed rooms and one room with 2 single beds. Small TV lounge, laundry and 2 toilets.
In the garden for children, trampoline, and table tennis.
Weber gas barbecue, deck chairs and garden furniture in teak.
House located 1 hour from Paris and 40 minutes from Versailles. Shops 1 mile, calm and green environment. Courgent is a charming typical village of Yvelines, near a small river. Ideal location to discover Paris and its region, while in a holiday home.

Lovely house and gardens - a really peaceful and beautiful rural retreat. The house has everything you need to relax. Our host was really helpful and communicated all we needed. The house comes with a very friendly Cat and Tortoise who look after themselves but love attention (which we loved giving!). Would recommend this house - location means a bit of a drive to get to most places, but once you’re settled at this house with your food and wine, you don’t want to leave it anyway!

Beautiful house

It is a really beautiful house with a very well equipped kitchen. Our children loved te garden and played all day outside. Our baby loved the outside beds to play in the shade. The outside is very nice to eat en relax. If you don’t like cats it’s maybe not your house because the cat comes a lot inside. He also wants some cuddles. The beds are very good and the parent room is a big bed, not small as most French beds are. We didn’t use the bunk bed but put the matras on the ground and that worked perfectly. It is not easy to make the rooms dark and we brought thankfully some blinds. The room downstairs does has a “small” bed. A supermarket is a 10 min drive for a small one and 20 min for a bigger one. The zoo closeby is very nice. There are a lot of flies. Probably because of the donkeys nearby. We loved our stay in this house. Not cheap but it is a big house.

Lovely house, big enough for the whole familie and the garden has enough facilities for the kids.

The owner Valérie speaks good English so it’s very easy to communicate. Also the neighbors are very friendly and helpful so in times of need, they are always prepare to help. I loved the pets and the house was fantastic. I would really recommend it to anyone with family!
